  • SKYRIM BELONGS TO THE NORDS!

  • That's what happens when you use unhistorical butted chainmail. Try it on riveted and we'll see.

  • oh i see, you worship Zenithar

  • 1:17 YA You show that cardboard roll who's boss!

  • Nice, but Vikings or Norsemen were not Celtic, great sword though.

Sorry if sound like an tosser.

  • @ninjaridley : Viking and Celtic blood mixed often. They have separate cultures that sometimes combined, but they do have shared ancestry and blood.

  • @MrRetain cause it's heavy and middle ages technology?

  • @tops1028 thats my point wat good is it know

  • Pommel broke off lol.

  • chain mail fails it cant stop any knifes if it could then why do you think cops dont put it in there body armourer

  • @MrRetain the fact that it's expensive and doesn't stop blunt force trauma?

  • @MrRetain also the fact that they are using butted mail and not riveted mail which is even more expensive.

  • @MrRetain Real mail is made of flattened, tempered, riveted steel rings and put on top of studded thick cloth or cushioned leather to reduce blunt trauma.

  • @MrRetain : Actual historical maille is riveted and is specifically designed to stop cuts and most stabs. This is unhistorical, weak, butted maille.

  • @Halofreakanoid designed to stop doesnt mean sword proof! just because it doesnt live up to stories doesnt mean it unhistorical and anyways why does it matter?

  • @GasmaskProductionINC : They were sword proof, if they were made properly. With some padding underneath they can even stop a spear thrust.

This isn't about stories, this is about documented and tested facts.

What does it matter? Why don't we just test guns on balloons? After all, it doesn't matter what we're shooting. Balloons is kinda like skin, not that close, but kinda, so it won't matter, the results will be the same. *end sarcasm*

Do you see how stupid that sounds?

  • This would be the coolest job ever!

  • they sure like chopping womans feet off.

  • I love this sword. It took a little sharpening (although that might have been because it was in the box for a few years) at first, but overall it's wonderful. The leather on the grip is very comfortable, it's an excellent length for my height, and is beautifully balanced. This sword is actually enough to make me wish that someone would break into my house. ;)

  • steel blade on iron sword handle hmmmm hybrid sword

  • fail viking wasnt celtic they was germanic, FAIL and the dot at the end of the sword isnt the typical viking end it is a mussel shell.

  • @TheDaniiboy "our interpretation"

  • is this better than your katana

  • k, out of the cold steel one handed blades which do you think is best?(asking everyone in general) their viking sword, norman sword, chinese gim or scottish broad sword?

  • @allshallbelosttoyou Shamsir.

  • now THAT's a job i would like to do, getting weapons, testing em and... ffs it's just a lot of fun!

Any kind of weapon, old, new no matter.

  • Skyforge steel Sword.

  • Good for Skyrim!

  • 1:09 great for cutting of the toes of cowboys!

  • R.I.P wodden Viking..

  • leathershoes stuffed with meat

    only on youtube!

  • the bigger guy reminds me of a show with 2 detective guys and 1 guy is always drinking and bening loud can anyone help me on what it's name is?

  • put some meat on it and not carboard ffs

  • Why am I addicted to these videos?

  • try the master sword

  • CUTTING EDGE!

  • CUTTING EDGE OR WHAT?????????????????

  • It's cool people are selling this, but honestly what would you do if you bought this? No one ever uses swords in modern combat anymore XD

  • @PWNDinyoface

Could be used for home defence. It doesn't jam or misfire like a gun, it doesn't require expensive ammo, and if the intruder only has something like a crowbar or baseball bat, he'd shit bricks at the sight of you: the concept of being filleted like a sea bass isn't very appealing to a would-be bandit.

  • Cold steel. When cutting random shit and then posing is your only option

  • those cardboard cutouts didn't stand a chance

  • at 1:26 I was waiting for him to say... Thunder, Thunder.... THUNDERCATS HOOOOOOOO

  • 1:52 Look mom i'm on tv.

  • 1:27 The bamboo hit his face XDD

  • Hate to burst your bubble but the Vikings were not Celtic. They were Nordic and Germanic.

  • @norseczar27 the Celtic were from Scandinavian origin

  • @andrewvanrhoberts Nope. they were from Gaul originally except for the Irish which were always in Ireland. Scandinavia was occupied by the Saami and another group of INdo-European descent. But after doing some studying I found out some Vikings who joined with th Irish did use their celtic knot design in heir swords. LoL Oh the wonders you find when studying. LoL

  • @norseczar27 the celts were from the rhine area in germany and spread out and that involves the irish(their celtic) too they didnt just pop out of the ground mate.

  • @1234alleyboy Your right that they did not just pop out of the ground. The celts were mosly from western europe.

  • @andrewvanrhoberts the celts were from the rhine area and spread out. The scandanavian tribes were from northern germany, denmark and holland

  • Dear Santa For Christmas My son................

  • Meat boot was the most disturbing for some reason...

  • @LBNANY OMG, it´s not just disturbing hehehe it´s TOTALLY disturbing :)

  • Comment removed

  • Holy crap! It did come off!

  • wow card board thats realy impresive ya not

  • omg i dident know that there was an actual foot in that boot at 1:10

  • wasnt expecting that boot to be filled with meat

  • hey your sword broke. 1:10 watch the floor by his leg

  • @MattieTheBear That looks like the pommel indeed. What a flaw!

  • there guys are from diablo

  • With sabot rounds. Good times..

  • It did come off! Not as nice as my Windless Sticklestad.

  • Man I want that sword :(

  • Haha i love this channel, i just want to know when i will ever have to use any of their weapons if i have a gun unless there's a zombie apocalypse or something lol.

  • Dave the last sentence is the most beautiful thing I have ever herd

  • As a butcher, a carpenter, a man who attacks meat filled cowboy boots and practices karate in my garage I believe having the right tools for the job is essential. That is why I own a selection of Cold Steel Swords, knives, axes and polyeuthane blunt weapons. Because fucking shit up is an ART FORM at my house.

  • i have to say i would love to work there you "what we got today?" Boss "well we got some ham, turkey, cardboard, and some bamboo for you to cut with this new sword" you "sweet !!!"

  • Ah yes, the viking sword; Enemy of feet.

  • i am from norway :D

  • Cardboard doesnt stand a chance now :/ sry CS but id rather have the War club to fight off zombies

  • Okay, you proved you can stab through chainmail. Can it cut it?

  • @Wildcat425B

Why even try? Chainmail was made or stopping such attacks. Not to mention how the viking sword, like most western swords, is a thrusting weapon.

  • @RWBn00b actually the viking long sword was primarily a slashing weapon

  • @Macgilvernock

Then tell me why it was obviously designed for stabbing, and was used against chainmail, which made slashing useless but thrusting and stabbing still worked against.

Viking Swords were thrusting weapons. If they werent, they would most likely be curved.

  • @RWBn00b just because its a strait blade with a broad fuller doesn't make it a thrusting weapon. It was used for thrusting but slashing was it's primary function. They used chain mail not only to protect against slashes, but thrusts as well. The vikings probably would have had braised or riveted chain mail, which can stop a thrust. The chain mail that you see on deadliest warrior is butted mail which wasn't used in europe, except for early celtic and roman period.

  • Finally! Defense against rogue cowboy boots and cardboard tubes!

  • poor han..:)

  • holy shawt, is this a tactical sword?!? LOL nice werk, even if it could prove difficult to carry it with you in everyday situations i think^^

  • @Schimml0rd Join the marines, I saw one or two that carried swords as an alternative to the rare situation that bayonets were required. I myself carried a 44-40 colt frontier six shooter as my sidearm.

  • thous guys must eat alot of meat :P

  • o no a piece of ham fear piece off ham i slice you

  • Has anyone seen my boot?

  • I'm George Lucas, and I approve this sword.

  • I'm gonna get me one of these and invade England!!! Oh wait, wrong century. Damn you cold steel.... :(. If you guys lived in the Middle Ages you would be billionaires.

  • I am going to cry the day i get attacked by cardboard vikings.

  • Is it just me or did the pommel come off as the strike fell at 1:12?

That's not supposed to happen! NOT GOOD!

  • @NorwegianBastard not just you, i see it

  • @NorwegianBastard

    Hahaha, you're right.

    Nice try, Cold Steel.

  • @NorwegianBastard Good catch!

  • @NorwegianBastard

I saw it just to the left of his knee as he lifts the sword back up

  • @NorwegianBastard : it did. You can see it bouncing on the floor. *strikes cold steel of the list of serious manufacturers*

  • @NorwegianBastard are you retarded?

  • @IsaiahSWCC are you blind? its pretty clear that it bounces off the ground at the end of the shot.

Also, whats keeping me from buying this sword is that i want historically correct swords.

  • @tehkill3r our tests show extreme abuse of our products. They are the toughest tests in the industry and our weapons are made to incredibly high specs. If you can beat the heck out of a sword, abuse it like we do, make all those huge cuts, and it survives with no damage apart from a pommel that needs re-attaching.,,well, that's a darn good sword. Nothing is indestructable, but we constantly strive to push the limits of the strength, sharpness and durability of our products.

  • @csknives yes thats true, but i just pointed out to 'IsaiahSWCC' further down that it does fall of and he blurted out his question without purpose.

However, how is the pommel mounted? is the tang going through the pommel and then hammered in on the outside to hold the hilt together or is it fastened by other means?

  • @tehkill3r I don't know the answer to that. Ask our customer services team, they will know. You can contact them via coldsteel (dotcom). Thanks

  • @csknives all right.

  • @NorwegianBastard That Sucks! it's in slow motion to lol. I still think this is a cool sword though.

  • But will it blend?

  • WHY COLD STEEL DONT HAVE A FU>C*K*NG GLADIUS

  • @ThomasBR1983 I believe they do?

  • THERE WAS A FOOT IN THAT BOOT!!!!

  • @shawtyshawts Was. That's the trick.

  • Dear Coldsteel,

can you please make the sword of Altair from AC series?

    That would be so awesme

    Sincerely

    ME:D

  • bunch of freaks!

  • perfect for cutting my bacon!!

  • 1:26 haha this idot wouldnt make it in the war even a practice inamovible target hits him

  • What a waste of meat!

  • @sizzo666 read the description, dude.

  • Shit. That sucks for whoever's foot that is at 1:09.

  • I'll keep this in mind if I get attacked by a boot.

  • the closed captioning in the intro almost made me piss myself "orange democrats do you no and polish to a brilliant lester"

  • why do you test thrusting on chain mail it was designed to stop slashing but thrusting easily goes through so it doesn't prove anything if you get through chain mail with a thrust

  • Respond to this video...

  • PERFECT ZOMBIE KILLER. Next to the brooklyn smasher

  • Watch out cut outs ill fuck you up.....

  • whoah, a sword that can cut cardboard AND a shoe? im impressed.

  • cold steel. im gonna give you the cold shoulder cause this is sadist!

  • I'd be much more impressed by the chainmail test if weren't butted mail; a butter knife could pierce that.

  • I can cut Plywood with my spoon i use to my breakfast cereals...

  • But will it blend?

  • It was designed to kill trolls. Thus the long list of flamments.

  • well if i ever get attacked by a wooden block wearing chainmail with a steak in his boot, i could so kick his ass with this...

  • they should put the chainmail on the pig and then take a slash. Yeah, thought so.

  • They need to have Amon Amarth playing to this!

  • ``hey pardner, fancy sword you`done got thereEEEAAAHH my foot!``

  • @Excessummako

Maybe you couldn't cut the cardboard in half because your just an incredibly weak bitch?

  • That fat dude is THE FUCKING BOSS.

  • #1 threat to middle aged sword packing SINGLE guys: cardboard and cowboy boots.

  • vikings>everything

  • a pen will cut open a chainmill

piercing is not the right test for chainmill. if u slash it and break the chainmill then u got something

  • If a cowboy ever kicks me

  • "Viking" is actually pronounced "vee-king" and not "vai-king" like you do...

  • LIKE A FUCKIN BOSS 1:20

  • yeah... because chain mail protects agents stabs |:B

  • @0blivion112 but when riveted it does

  • Always so actual,in close quarters, with a shield deflector of bullets, this weapon would be so fantastic.

  • it would be really impressive is when they cut through the boots AND the table holding them

  • I own a icelandic old viking sword and honestly it would smash this toy <.<

  • My fists can do that....

  • I think that Cold Steel should have the rights to use convicted child sex offenders as the targets in their cutting demos! Anyone else agree?

  • @muskysnax Yeah man you're right increasing jobs too

  • @muskysnax In feudal Japan they actually did shit like that with there Katanas.

  • @muskysnax not just them but ALL the walking dead scum on deathrow that all us law abiding hard working taxpayers support!.and that goes for lab testing products on them too instead of innocent animals being tormented for it!! and if that were the case i would have to beg cold steel to let me work for em LMAO.

  • @muskysnax i like the way you think sir.

  • @muskysnax What if it was consentual but the adult got charged anyway?

  • @ihaterobbie123 There is no such thing as consensual sex with a CHILD for fucks sake!!! What kind of question was that? I'll just assume you are trying to get a reaction or attention and ignore any further comments along those lines.

  • @muskysnax Yes there is. I live in the UK, I'm 19 and have a girlfriend age 17. IF I lived in the USA and IF her parents decided to have me tried in court I COULD become a convicted child sex offender.

There are vast quantities of cases of teens having sex and the male being charged with a crime, it happens constantly. Sometimes underage girls send photos to their partners and get charged with child pornography.

Should I be tried and executed by sword for my relationship with a 17 year old?

  • @ihaterobbie123 I don't mean grown teenagers when I said "child". I mean pre-teens. I do understand your situation and that's not what I was referring to. All the best with your situation. Although I've lived in Canada most of my life, I was born in the UK.

  • @ihaterobbie123 ofcourse :D

  • @Lud0zify LOL, I don't want to hear that from a Swede. You guys have it good ;-)

  • @muskysnax Used to be the case with criminals in medieval japan if I'm not mistaken ;)

  • @muskysnax better yet, hunt down the ones that got away.

  • When they unsheathe the sword, each time, they act like He-man.

  • @muskysnax

Genius o_O I award you all the longswordz

  • @muskysnax hell yes!!!!

  • It's that love/hate thing. Everyone who has courage, rage. or a drop of testosterone knows they would love to have this thing, some just are better at puting on a stoic face.

  • Everyone making jokes about chopping cardboard or ham.........

.........Stop pretending you don't need this.

  • no the vikings were not celts but if you knew your history you would know that they basiclly helped populate that region?

  • hes chopping fucking cardboard... stupidest shit ever

  • hell expensive....fuck that i prefer to use kitchen knifes...cheap and easily replaceable......

  • Guys the term viking sword is a misnomer. It should be called a viking age sword. Most armies during the 600-1000 used similar swords, such as the celts, franks, slavs, english, etc. This is also why it is correct to see celtic knots on the swords, because celts did use them as well. It was recorded that the Franks made the highest quality viking age sword and actually tried to keep them away from their enemies.

  • God forbid I ever get attacked by a piece of ham.

  • @MrMcCoGo by that do you mean a cop?

  • @MrMcCoGo or a boot

  • @MrMcCoGo DOES THIS SWORD COME WITH THE FUNNY FATMAN?

  • @MrMcCoGo yeah i know, just like a bear. in a small, tasty package

  • omg i can cut cardboard with that thing

  • thank goodness were not cardboard!!

  • that diddnt even cut through a real chain mail old chain mails had bigger chain links that sword cut through a shar chain mail
