I saw her at a memorial concert for one of her teachers, Emilio Del Rosario, where she was supposed to play 2 of her own compositions. With the level of playing that the other former students displayed(especially the younger ones), I guess she thought the better of it and instead started with the first of the three Gershwin preludes which she played excellently. She did follow with an original, "new age-ish" composition which was really a let down after the Gershwin.

I have watched many of Emily Bear videos, and many Aimi Kobayashi videos. Aimi is a fantastic piano player, definetly another prodigy (which is amazing!!) However, I find that Emily plays with much more heart and soul and pure emotion than Aimi. Emily, you are INCREDIBLE!!! Always keep this emotion in your playing and you will go far!! :D
