@ZanKsChannel GW2 will make the same amount of noise the last GW made. Very little. At least they woke up and realized PVP is niche so they added more PVE. Of course they ruined that by telling me I can't just be a healer:)

The game is easily one of the most hyped MMO's of all time, and what (I think) will gain it huge popularity is the fact that every single big youtube gamer will be playing it (totalbiscuit, the yogcast, athenewins, wowcrendor,jessecox etc).

It's by far the most promising MMO ever.

@Dale1cool SW:TOR was pretty hyped:) It's an absolute disaster lol I played Vanguard at launch and it was awful SW:TOR is barely ahead of it. GW2 might do well but I love healing too much XD

ANet isn't really `that` big of a company. GW 2 is hyped because it looks like it's gonna redefine MMO's.

I am loving this game. The whole space west theme is very appealing to me. Also the skill animations are absolutely exceptional. NCsoft has good taste in games yo. O by the way fck SWTOR.

Looks too WoW-like in my opinion....even the graphics have that colorful "cartoony" art style. If one of the "cooler mechanics" in Wildstar is ranged auto-looting, then I can only imagine what else this game has in store.... because that seems very basic and non-game changing to me.

Also, the designer's voice is extremely drull and obnoxious. Really turned off from watching the entire video start to finish.

To be honest, this looks like an updated and re skinned version of WoW. Now I`m not just saying that to be a douchebag but, the inventory looks the same the art style looks similar, they say that it is like a Sci-Fi game but once you leave the safe areas it just becomes another fantasy game. Ground textures look boring and forgetful. It just doesnt have enough in it that is new to pull me away from other games i have already invested a BUNCH of time in.

Then again it would be most likely complete waste of time. Arenanet managed to fucked up everything that`s great about mmos. No tanks, no healers which basically means zerging. Horrible combat where you keep spamming "1" all the time an the game does combos for you. Tons of loading screens between zones, no mounts etc.

Wow. I'm really disappointed in the people talking about Guild War 2 and talking down about this game. Need I remind you that WoW and SWToR fans were always talking down about Guild Wars 2 when we didn't know much about it. (and still are doing so on occasion)? Seriously, if you don't care about this game that's fine, but don't knock it when there's still too little about it to really judge it properly.

I don't want to be mean to Carbine, but next to GW2, this MMO seems a bit lame. Everything that GW2 changes, they do it "old-fashioned". I'm thinking about the quest system here, mostly.

OTOH, by itself, it looks quite nice. It's just that, since I'm not too much into traditional MMOs, the comparison is kinda forced on me.

@fornile there is also NCSoft West and NCSoft East. West division along with ANet are responsible for GW2 i believe. Not entirely sure tho.

@fornile And we can add that NCsoft WEST is the publisher of ArenaNet. That is a bit different from the typically Korean NCsoft because WEST is more about... well, west :p
