And do you know how many japanese has killed chinese people? a ridiculous amounts. You guys had beheading contests with chinese villagers, experimented on them for fun, and were no better to the chinese than the nazis were to the jewish people. Remember the Massacre of Nanjing?

I thought you cunts got hit by a tsunami and nuclear fallout? Why is your ass still glued to the seat and trolling online? Get the fuck out Jap; Japs are sub-human creatures that should be exterminated ASAP. Thankfully Japan is getting fucked in the ass right now by

    Darkdrium is a Chinese boy.

  • lol the title fails..their is no Banjo(its a sanxian, the instrument the women is playing on the right)and there is no Zither there either(that would be a guzheng, the large instrumentin the back)...and the flute is called a bawu. other then the title.. Thanks for uploading :)

  • @NewToViolin the guzheng is a zither and the guy sitting in the back is playing a chinese banjo dumbass

  • @wbwillie Hahahaha omg!!!! Funny. Go search Zither videos, then search guzheng videos. You'll see there is a massive difference. I believe you're the dumbass here

  • What is the instrument that the lady is playing called?

  • @Lalasays15 it called guzheng which the left lady play.

  • @Lalasays15 which lady? the green lady plays guzheng, the other plays erhu

  • ASIA are more relaxful music in this EARTH!!

  • most chinks guy youtube is chinese secret police. they writting communist dictator`s propaganda over and over again. its their job, and also they hired so many to making propaganda too. you can search it in google (50 cent army), it so funny hahahaha

How China's '50 Cent Army' Could Wreck (Search Google =====> 50 Cent Army)

The CCP has hired thousands of freelance Internet propagandists whose job is to infiltrate chat rooms, message boards and comment areas-----(50 Cent Army)

  • @77777XYZ

I'll take communist "propaganda" over FASCIST PROPAGANDA, any DAY!

  • that guy on the flute is a great performer

  • 25 persons are ex-invader of Asia

  • this is wonderful

  • Sounds great, of course, but since when is the Banjo a traditional chinese instrument? :/

  • @BloodTal0n You fool! All stringed instruments have their roots in China. Here's a Chinese Banjo player watch?v=PD8X_NkFjcw

Notice the similarities, but also the differences. The word banjo is the only thing originally from the Deep South, based on an instrument from the middle east. Where did it come from? China at least a 1000 years before the American version. But since we Americans think we invented everything, the Chinese were nice & call it a banjo for Americans like you

  • @BloodTal0n Ok.. I better be nice and explain. The name is actually a "sanxian" for the Chinese! watch?v=7LALgWz0xc0

This is a video of Mei Han's Chinese Bluegrass (Redgrass) ensemble and you'll see two cousins of the banjo here. One is big and looks like a bass banjo sorta (Chinese have several banjo related instruments)! :P Enjoy it!

  • @kroneage Wow okay, thanks for the info. I really didn't know that!

Also, I am not american. How dare you accuse me of something like that! :(

  • @BloodTal0n Sorry... haha..... from Sweden.... eh? :D Some of my favorite music groups are from Sweden and Finland!

  • sounds like what ennio morricone should be working on....

  • that thing the lady in the blue dress is playing shoots invisible skeleton swordsmen (kung fu hustle reference)

  • @InvaderZimFan10 Ha! :) love that film.

  • the zither is called a guzheng. and it's hard to see but the instrument you refer to as a banjo is probably a sanxian. the flute is called a bawu.

  • was there really a banjo??? ? Perhaps it's a Chinese ban-ji (??) a percussion instrument

  • Sounds a bit like Zen Horse Whispering by Mark Hollingsworth. Got the album off iTunes, and I listen 2 it every night 2 help me get a DECENT NIGHT'S SLEEP OVA MY HOWLING COCKER SPANIEL MUTT THAT REFUSES TO SHUT UP UNTIL 2 IN THE MORNING EVERY NIGHT!!!! • yeah... no respiratory problems for him..lol.. look at how he controls his breathing.. 0.0

  • What is the title of this piece of music? Any background info on what the theme is supposed to describe?Composer?

You stated that this performance took place in Amsterdam. When? Are there other pieces of flute/ erhu/ guzheng played in this concert ?

What is a Chinese banjo? Is it similar to Pipa?

Thank you very much for sharing this video!

  • @soulglow8 I know of the Sanxian, which is a 3 stringed instrument very very similar to a banjo in design and somewhat in sound.

  • Oh wow. This music IS soothing. I had a pounding headache before, now after I listened to this, my headache is actually gone! Oh, and MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

  • very nice music i enjoyed very much thanks

  • you should probably change the names of the instruments to what the ppl in the other comments have said...

  • Comment removed

  • G dizi

    Guzheng

    Erhu

    Pipa

Sounds like a meng jaing, but is original

  • what type of chinese flute is he playing...dizi?

  • bawu

  • It might be blasphemy in the west, but I think he's better than Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson. Fantastic.

  • Ummmm there is no Banjo in this. Banjo is a west African instrument at it's roots. And what is a Citer? Do you mean Sitar? If so -- there is not one of those in this video either. Thanks for traveling abroad and making Americans looks so dumb by posting this video with such a title. Thanks a lot.

  • guzheng, the bridged zither.

    erhu, chinese fiddle.

ruan, chinese bass lute (hard to tell if it is exactly that)

    bawu, free reed flute.

  • Beautiful music. I wish the video could have shown better camera angles such as close-ups of the musicians hands. And the flute player obscured the person behind him most of the time. Still it was very entertaining. Gets 5 stars from me.

  • wonderful;

perfect combination of instruments which produce such a soothing sound.

    thanks for posting.

  • R.I.P entertainment

    type BDKNLOKO

  • I put this song on my I Pod and since I don't know what the name of it was, I named it "The Journey and Success". Thats exactly what I think of when I hear this all the time. Love the song. Lu Chunling is awesome.

  • This is the performer's composition, entitled, The Music of the Festival Dance. Famous solo for the bawu instrument you hear. He is considered a national treasure in China.

  • Someday wish for real freedom since over all world is false perception

  • Shin Shin keo Neu Igh ai zen

  • So beautiful! Thank you for posting it.

  • beautiful music simply breath taking!

  • Wo hen ai Zhongguò!!!!!

  • amaizing

  • man china is one of the best countries for culture

    i love it!

  • Almost all of Asia is extremly rich in culture, I have not seen a country more into culture then places in Asia. beautiful.

  • @CypherFilms Do you mean "high culture"? Because every country, by definition, has the same amount of culture as any other country.

  • @rothery86 same amount?? yeah right. How can you compare the culture of China and India to any African, South American or European country? The only ancient civilization that comes close to those 2 countries is Egypt. While we in Europe were still using the Phalanx, the chinese already invented Karate and Kung Fu. While we used fire arrows, chinese already discovered gunpowder. While we built temples, they built 20 stories high pagodas on top of steppe mountains, the list goes on ;)

  • @CypherFilms Then you should see culture in Latin America, it is rich and beautiful there too.

  • @CypherFilms

Mao was a hero who made China beautiful, people confuse deng as a communist, fuck deng, fuck market socialism.

  • Beautiful Music

  • 10 stars - but, is that guo brothers song ?

  • Lu Chunling is the master~

  • Listen people, when you live in China like me for 1 year, later you can speak about if china is free or not.

USA is nor more free than China. USA have their CI and FBI exactly the same that China protect their interest.

Chinese culture (traditional and actual) is beautiful.

    Viva China!!!!

  • I too studied for half a year in China. While I agree that China is a beautiful country with many interesting features, you can't ignore its negative sides, which are quite a lot.

China is no better or worse than any other country, both the glorification and condemnation of a nation are pretty foolish.

You should always keep an open mind, to postive and negative aspects alike.

  • traditional culture is great. but CCP has destroyed too much.

  • bolywood = shit!

  • it s amazing song..am a chilean i think that culture is beatiful..congratulations for your folcklor..and knowledge..

  • Let the chinese people do what they want.

    We need them one day...

  • huj kurwa cipa

  • Hey, this was amazing. Is it just me or did that flute sound a little like a clarinet?

  • That was my first thought too.. it does sound almost like a clarinet

  • its call bawu a free reed instrument the legend or so of the bawu is kinda sad

  • Comment removed

  • flute sounds like a bassoon, cool. or a clarinet.

  • I've heard that the fluteman hre is like 90 years old ,O

  • realy nice

  • Jie Ri Zi Ge. The Song of the Festival. Arranged by Lu Chunling himself with the bawu.

  • Thanks for the name.

But too late as the review was due in 1 and a half weeks ago.

    Anyway, thanks for bothering

  • thanks for asking anyway, im doing a review atm and i was wondering wat the name was, but now i know :D

  • que bonita es la musica de este pais

  • lo mismo digo

  • I have just written a song in chinese style

for the the olympics called "come on join the dragon" just type it in google and you will get it. Your opinion will be appreciated.

    Peter

  • i cant access the page on my comp. =(

Id like to hear it though.

  • this is what i called master music

  • I dun think its a banjo, it most likely is a pipa since this is chinese music, also on the dizi, you need a bamboo membrane to cover one of the holes or else it won't sound correct to those who didn't know, also, not a citer, maybe a zither or else just a zheng

  • yea its so not a banjo

  • The Flute he was playing is called an 'Dizi' a traditional chinese flute. I own one, very difficult to play.

  • this is the best music i ever heard!!! i been searching for all over the place and is hard to find music so wonderful like this!!

i wish i could play a song like the song of the video :D

  • I have searched alot for a music better than this but I could not find one ....This is just the best ......

Can you give a link to a similar music

  • what was the name of the instrument flute the man was playing??

  • Bamboo Flute.

  • well that instrument sounds sooooo good! I wish I knew how to play that!

  • The instrument he plays is a bawu and it's not considered a flute. Its sound comes from a metal reed embedded in the mouthpiece. Just think of the bawu as a "side-blown clarinet."

  • There were bawus used in old Cantonese music. They were vertical, had sound lower than the horizontal one played here. The sound was exceptionally beautiful. Too bad they are no longer in use and extremely hard to fine.

  • Sorry for my miscommunications. I was trying to describe the bawu in a way that makes it easier for other people to understand. Also, thanks for the fact. I love the bawu and hulusi and really want to learn how to play them.

  • Incredible! I just loooove Traditional Chinese Music sooo much!

  • I don't know why, but I always have my eyes filled with tears when I listen to chinese music.

  • I believe your tears will become a stream after listening to the "Moon reflected on ErQuan Pond" - watch?v=L_K54nEqfSo

  • Lu Chunling is SO old! He was born in 1921 and he is STILL going strong!

  • i wish i could do that on my flute!^^
