Great song! Being German, I'll say that the original was in German "Was ich dir sagen will" (great hit in 1967), composed & sung by the Austrian singer Udo Jürgens. He started being very successful in the 60s and sings to this day. I'd say that in Germany almost everyone knows him. Ever been to a party when the DJ put "Ich war noch niemals in New York" or "Griechischer Wein"? Makes you wonder where so many people who aren't usually into this type of music know the texts so well to sing along!

Check out her songs in several different languages, including English, the best of which is the song Feelings on the cat001001 channel. Her songs in Japanese and Chinese on the masami43, masami43a, and hkshipsforteresateng channels and others are stupendously lovely...check them out you will not regret it, trust me.
