  • Real quick, can you explain to me exactly what kind of battery you have? Also how to you connect the battery to the motor? Do you use a breaker in between? Do you have a separate starter and a marine deep cycle battery? Please im hunting for information as to how to set my boat up correctly thanks.

  • @washn2hiphop40 it's been so long, i haven't gotten on a boat in a while, i think the battery is a deep cycle marine, bigger than atv batteries, smaller than car battery....i totally forgot and i don't have it with me.

just connect the battery directly to the motor, motor comes with positive and negative clippers.

  • Wally mart sells some stuff in the sports department to seal air bed leaks! called airstop, vinyl repair. and will fix holes rips and tears in your boats. sold in small bottle and less than three buck,s best stuff i ever saw, and repairs in minutes! use it on my weed free many times, and glad because sevylor no longer sell,s that model. and you will need it with the new cheap version.

  • I got a motor and mount for mine and it took up too much room so I went back to using oars. It's not that much work.

  • you should make a video on how to make a motor mount

  • @3Dodgers2 i need that vid too

  • I just bougt the same boat. Please, how do I attach a trolling motor, what all do I need. I have the mount already. Thanks

  • thats quick for a thirty lb thrust. i like it.

  • where did you get the inflatable from, bc a $100 dollars is a steal?

  • @CrashOverdrive4 i believe i bought it at Sports Authority online

  • I just bought a 30lb minn kota trolling motor but i do not know where to buy a good battery for it. Can you please refer me to a website or a store? I would really appreciate it. Thank You.

  • what abot in utah....idk the law here....

  • do u have to register that kind of boat?????and do u need a battery for the motor or is it a gas motor...plz reply...nice vid

  • Comment removed

  • @xkillerofthefuture In my state, if you mount a motor on it, you have to get it registered...they also sent me a property tax bill for it too....an inflatable boat that cost $100 that is kept inside the house...pretty rediculous. The motor needs battery.

  • @TheHipMunks Same here in CT... crazy!

  • That seems mighty fast for a 30 lbs motor. Are you sure it isn't 40 lbs? I have the 9'2" fish hunter with a 40 lbs motor, and from appearances, go no faster than you.

  • It is 30lbs motor. I'm a very small guy so that might have made a difference.

  • Hi

I have the same boat as u and i want to buy the 30 lb motor. Do u think that it goes a bit fast for a guy that weight's 90 lb?

    Thanks man!

  • I also notice it goes faster when u place the blades higher up closer to the water surface.

  • @TheHipMunks thats because there is less drag on the shaft

  • @whatdafuque man i wish to ask u about these boat i wana get the sevylor 6 person inflatable boat but i do not know is it the right choice putting in mind i wanna use in the sea (salt water) will it be thick and last with me

  • anyone thinking about motorizing their fish hunter should seriously consider making their own motor mount.

you'll save a ton of money, check out my vid on it to see what a homemade one looks like, i used to sell these at wholesale sports and my mount is about 3x stronger than these and cost under $10.xx to make.

if you can open a can of beer you have the skills required to make your own mount.

save the money, buy some bait.

nice vid btw, i love my 360, goes all day.

  • is this a fish hunter model?

  • how do u put a trolling motor on it because im bout to buy on and i dont want to keep padleing it

  • I just bought a Minn Kota Maxxum 40T. Can I use that on a Fish Hunter with a motor mount?

  • can u message me the things you need to put a 30lb trolling motor on it??? i was going to get one of these and i want to put a trolling motor on it. can u tell me your set up aswell??? such as the trolling motor, battery etc. thnx alot, i appreciate it if u did

  • its the fish hunter 250 a mini kota troling motar (also have to get troling plate 50 bucks:( ) it is a comfey boat but awkward to fish out of at times>

  • which model boat is that is it the caravelle or the fishhunter. I noticed yousaid fishing in it was uncomfortable . How so Thanks

  • sevylor motor?

  • Can you post the exact model of the trolling motor you're using? Also, how did you hook that up to the boat? I have the 12 foot version of the same boat you have and have no idea how that wood is attached to the boat.

    Thanks man!

  • The Sevylor motor mount comes with easy instructions. Here's a video with a better view on how it's hooked up:

    watch?v=VWACtEpB050

  • hey man i tried to watch that video, but i think the code might be wrong. can you PLEASE! tell me how i can watch that video. i just ordered the mount and i need to know how to hook it up. Thank you very much

  • watch?v=VWACtEpB050

    TITLE: Fish Hunter 360 II

I've had problems too. Try opening the video in both internet explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Try refreshing your browser and your cookies. Turn off all unnecessary programs. Once you get the video to pop up, try to move the timer bar to the center from about 8 or 10 seconds and a still picture should at least pop up.

Also, the motor mount you ordered should have good instructions.

And get the floorboard from Sevylor MADE for the HF-360, if you can.

  • hey bro what kind of battery do u use for that trolling motor where did u get it? can u please help me with that?? like name of battery model and capacity thanks

  • Buy a rechargeable deep cycle battery from any sports store that sells trolling motors. Or you could even use a car battery. But they sell them at sporting goods stores specifically for trolling motors so you can plug them in at home to recharge them, unlike a car battery. Also, you can Google "deep cycle batteries for trolling motors".

  • i have this boat. dont get the walmart batteries for twenty bucks, i blew two of them lol. get an eighty dollar marine battery and it will last you for 12-15 hours. I did this. Good luck!

  • Hello,

I have a seahawk 2 raft and I read your comment on marine battery and I was wondering if I buy this battery I should be able to go alot further than the 1 to 2 miles from a regular battery. Is this marine battery rechargable and did you get it at walmart? Any help would be appreciated. I just bought my motor mount and I am now shopping for motor and battery but I want to be able to go more than a mile or two at one time.

    thank you

  • i have a 26 pound thrust and i use car batterys, 650 crankin amps

  • ik wat type it was it was a 12 volt lantern battery with 2 spring prongs and you can get it at radio shack for about 25-30 dollars but the bad thing is that you cant reacharge it and you need to get a water proof casing so it doesnt expload and kill u.have fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • if you're the only one that gets on the boat and if you sit on the top the front of the boat is going to get really big because of you adding pressure on the back and under the hot sun it will get thin and will leak are.

  • how old do u need to be to but on one of those electric moters and run it?

  • I think age varies from state to state, check your local boating rules by googling.

  • I have a 11 foot sevylor caravelle. Lately i've been getting tired or rowing as it is really tirering and hot here in florida. I want to buy a cheap durable trolling motor which was prised at 100. My question is? how will it go about with the whole batery thing? what kind of batery do i need? I also wanted to put a floorboard, but they are too expensive. Can i just make one out of plywood? Making sure there are no rough edges? please help as i have only had my boat for a month, and i love it???

  • You need a deep cycle marine battery. Maintenance-free ones are called AGM, more expensive though. The other kind of deep cycle marine battery requires water to be filled in it I think? Don't forget to buy a charger for the battery. You can build a floor board, I heard people wrap it in carpet too. So I would sand it down, smooth the edges, and staple down the carpet, making sure the staples are fully deep into the wood.

  • Great, i went to bass pro shop today just to check out prices and stuff and the motor was a 30lb trolling motor which was 100 dollars. The motor mount was like 48 dollars and the battery, (well) i saw one for 104, 118,160+. i just want to be able to troll around at least 2 hours everytime i go out. ABOUT the floor thing? do you have one? and if not, does the bottom feel like, you know weak or something, like you could rip it easily? what about the battery, where do you put it? isnt it too heavy?

  • I don't have a floorboard, the bottom feels strong, it cannot be ripped easily. The battery is heavy, I leave it near the back end where I sit.

  • the floorboard is the shiznit. i got mine for $94.95 from SunnySports. It's pricey for what you get, but it works PERFECT and fits SNUG in the boat and never budges after inflation. It made all the difference in the world. Also, it breaks up into 3 small pieces of perfectly shaped and treated plywood to easily carry in your trunk or back of your car. Get the one that's made for the boat you're using & just throw a fitted carpet over it whenever you take out the boat

    (I haven't tried carpet yet).

  • "ABOUT the floor thing? do you have one? and if not, does the bottom feel like, you know weak or something"

the bottom is quite strong, with or without the floorboard. But without it, your boat becomes like a cheap Coleman raft since it does not evenly distribute your weight and sinks you deep into the part you are sitting in. With the floorboard, there is no sinking in. Your weight is evenly distributed throughout the boat. The floorboard shouldn't have any problem holding an 80 lb battery.

  • You can even stand up with the floorboard for a bit, if you want. But it's not very thick. I wouldn't recommend standing if you are over 200 lbs. I weigh 185 and can stand with no problems.

  • Thanks for the great information. I have a 12 foot Sevylor, a 12v Minn Kota 30lb Thrust, and a 8 AH battery. The combination works great except the battery only lasts about 15 minutes. Please give more details on your battery and charger (manufacturer, model, weight). Thanks so much.

  • I use a small AGM battery, but slightly bigger than I want. Only 32 Amp Hours, $104 at BassPro. If you can find one that isn't maintenance-free, price would likely be halfed. Last more than 6 hours on non-windy days. However, at about the 6th hour, you'll notice the motor isn't moving the boat as fast as when fully charged. On a windy day, I had to keep using the motor to get away from the shore, since wind kept blowing me to it. That day, the battery lasted about 3-4 hours.

  • I read the Minn Kota 30lb Thrust motor uses 36A at speed 5 and significantly less at speeds 1 and 2 which are the majority of your time...

It was listed with a 100AH battery you could go 9-10 hours or so on 2, or 2 1/2 hours at speed setting 5. 8AH battery is way too small for trolling.

  • dude, i am most likely going to buy this boat, and hopefully youll respond, i was wondering if this boat is good for fishing and is it made of good, strong material?

  • It's good for fishing but a little uncomfortable if you wanna move around in the boat. This boat is available in 8' to 12'. The material is thick and strong, but I have not fished with it in 95+ degree weather, so I don't know how soft it would get under the heat.

  • yeah, i am about to get the 12' boat, and people say it gets soft in hot weather, but you can purchase the "Boat Boot" for added protection against abrasions and hot weather. but thanks for the reply

  • What size battery do you use for that setup? How long does it usually last you?

  • I use a small AGM battery. Only 32 Amp Hours, $104 at BassPro.

  • Ok, thanks for the info. I've got a 12v Sevylor motor that works great, but it's pretty puny (2 forward settings, slow and slower). I was considering getting a stronger motor, but wasn't sure about their power consumption. I've got two batteries that I can wire in parallel for a total of 33 amp hours.

I imagine that six hour rating is mostly at the lower speed settings? I'd just like to be able to get around a little faster...

  • mostly at lower speeds. The BassPro motor has 5 forward and 2 backward speeds. I use mostly speed 3 and 4...5th speed only for very short times.

  • i have that boat!
