I enjoy shredding and I've enjoyed what I've seen from this dude. But...I find his melodic passages so so nice that I wish he'd take the time to develop them more, rather than play a brief melody followed by heavy shredding, then do a small amount of melody again, then more shredding. I'd rather see him build to the shredding and then go nuts with it, and not have it dominate the song. The guy is so so good, but a little more Santana/Vai and a little less death metal would go a long way.
thats true, but ive heard alot of people that say he is a horrible player just because he loves to shred.. ive heard he is also a guitar teacher as well
i tried this guitar in the store because it just jumped out at me. once it was in my hands, i knew i had to have it. watching this vid only confirms that.
well actually he plays well, but he isn't all of that amazing guitarist/musician. I like his sound and his skills are well. but sure he isn't the best. (my opinion)
I wouldn't say it's boring but I agree that fast alternate picking is a bit excessive in this piece, as it's a standard ballad, not a power metal solo. Although, I have to admit that the skills of Chatreeo are impressive indeed and not every non-proffesional player can beat him. But again, it's not about the speed in this example. I liked the slow parts the most, because I didn't notice patterns like in the shred parts (out of tune sometimes).
By experience, I couldn't tell you, I think they're the way to go logically...I don't have an amp (sold my old one, buying a new one soon,) but as you can tell from this video, they sure sound good. :)
can anyone tell me if the c-1 plus is a pretty decent guitar? im thinking of buying one, it has "duncan designed pickups" so im guessing that means not actual duncans?
It's a great guitar for the money. They aren't actual duncans, but they are designed to the same specs and I think they sound equally good. I prefer a little more output though so I put EMGs in mine like this guy in the video.
I have that excact guitar with EMG 81/85 pickups. Mine's just blue. It sounds great for clean and has the best distortion sound I've ever heard. It's by far my favorite guitar, evevn over my '79 Les Paul
Mines the 2005 in transparent blue. My neck is pretty thin but that doesn't bother me. The only thing that I don't like about it is that the frets are small. it's only got a 24.75 scale on 24 frets.
Schecters arent too good clean, in my opinion anyway, theyre meant to be punchy which means theyre meant for distortion, and this sort of thing. If you want all all around good guitar go Fender.
I have a schecter c1 classic and its sounds extremely well clean and un distorted. For the other guy Schecters are really good for metal too. Check out their websites and they have artists that use schecter on there
im asking you instead of other people for the fact that your schecter sounds beautiful and rich and soulful, everyone else just sounds like muddy crap, and they sound like they are playing death metal, im really just interested in playing, rock, grunge, some blues (i know schecter's have a warm clean tone, ) and maybe some hard rock, but if you dont think the guitar is well suited then give me a recommendation and also, what effects do you use to get that sound from your guitar?
can you help me out, i wanted to know if a certain guitar i wanted to get is worth getting, you seem like you would know what your doing, you pull such an amazing sound from your schecter, its not all distortion like some other people, they turn their schecter's into shitty BC riches, but yeah, i wanted to get this, http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/buy_schecter_damien_fr_electric_guitar?full_sku=513103%2e974
Ive always wanted to change the duncan design pickups on my C-1 plus. If i did change the pickups for an emg 81 85 can you still use the push pull single coil nob or would it be useless?
Chatreeo lives in a music store and practices all day to achieve exceptional awesomeness on any guitar he chooses to pick up.

Sounds good. I'm not much a shredder fan - I really like it when you go into your slow parts. It seems to sing.

boring. I don't remember a single "phrase" or melody of your wanking vid.
and that excessive tremolo picking ruins the tone so bad...
Keep rockin' anyway, dude!

Oh yeah, and also, I have virtually the same guitar as you. It's a C1 Plus Black Cherry with the EMG 81 and 85 pickups, and man, it's a sweet guitar.
nateisneato 4 years ago
I wanted the Black cherry, all the music tore had was the transparent blue and the sunburst, I took the blue. The EMGs are the way to go aren't they?

They don't. Mine are after market. I bought a stock C-1+ and thought it played good for shredding so I put the EMGs in it so it would sound the part.

which one do you have, the charcoal burst from year 2000 or the newer ones with the thinner necks?
BiGBoShMaN 4 years ago

i think Fender Stratcaster suitable to you
becuase schecter guitar have h thick sound and not clean as fender guitar
in my opinion Fender Guitar is The best for all style music
if you have more money you should buy Fender American Deluxe H-s-s
