@thomasskyg Launchpad seems kind of ridiculous to me. Just like Metro in Windows 8. Trying to bring a mobile interface to laptop and desktop machines, most of which do not support a touch pad yet. A mobile interface should stay on a hand held mobile device. Not a serious computer such as a laptop or desktop (not including netbooks in this).
With my Windows 7 PC, I have shortcuts to the apps I installed in a folder with sub folders to help categorize them. This folder sits on my desktop.

To get your scroll wheel to work correctly, uncheck that box at the top of the Mouse option in System Preferences. Just found that myself. Lion is quite frustrating for me also.

Getting to your adium contact list - cmd-tab. That's where I stopped listening and watching. Seeing how much you struggled with the whole thing, I admire you skills of actually being able to record and upload a video. Gratz on that. I feel sorry for the rest =)
@fe00700 by "wheel button of google page" did you mean google settings gear? I wasn't mistaking, I was simply taking the audience of a typical person's experience trying to figure out how to minimize. Cmd-Tab does not take you out of full screen mode. It grants you access to the buddy list, but doesn't solve the problem. Basically, I am sure I know how to use a computer much better than you. Thanks for the comment.

@fe00700 A. At the time this video was made, cmd+tab would only bring the other app to the front, but would not minimize chrome. B. Now, it STILL does not minimize chrome, it takes you to a different spaces page to access your app. Chrome still does not minimize. Stop talking about the gear already, I didn't mistake it for anything, I was demonstrating how the minimize function is nowhere.

It is a symptom of an across-the-board problem at Apple. Perceptive consumers have seen it coming for quite some time. First there's talk of Apple getting rid of the Mac Pro due to several years of awful sales. Then it was the iPad 2, with "features" that officially made it nothing more than an oversized iPhone. Then it was the iPhone 4S which desperately relied on Siri to sell units, and now most people are shutting it off. And now we have Lion, a colossal disappointment.

@hobbsilla Oh also you can use Spotlight as a calculator. Its able to handle equations with exponents, natural logs, log base 10. Also if you ever decide to use Launchpad you can download a Launchpad prefpan app that helps you organize it.
After _perfect_ OSX 10.6.8 going to Lion i had similar frustration like you. 10.6.8 was too perfect, they had to introduce bullshit features, also remove iSync (wtf!?) so i couldn't sync my mobile phone over bluetooth anymore ...

I talked to apple customer service and they basically told me my specific Mac product cannot downgrade to snow leopard because it was built for lion. I typed only one phrase in caps and called the OP a moron cos a lot of the reasons he doesn't like Lion are idiotic and he can't even go thru settings to adjust his mouse (he goes to general and trackpad, come on!). You should try to downgrade to Snow Leo asap and at least wait until Windows 8 comes around to reconsider PC, because the recent previews with Metro look great. The shame is that the Ribbon will be everywhere in Win8. Still, basically SnowLeopard > Win7 > Lion, until Windows 8 ships.

@alexKrasny Hi format your Mac and dual boot it with Windows 7 and Linux on it lol.OSX is basically Linux anyway.The only main difference is that its got an Apple lick of paint and other Apple customizations here and there.But most of the things on OSX were originally from Linux.The Compiz wobbly windows effects and the terminal for example.
Then on the Windows 7 side of things 7 is the only OS thats good for gaming running emulators , watching blu-ray movies ect.

First there's talk of Apple getting rid of the Mac Pro due to several years of awful sales. Then it was the iPad 2, with "features" that officially made it nothing more than an oversized iPhone. Then it was the iPhone 4S which desperately relied on Siri to sell units, and now most people are shutting it off. And now we have Lion, a colossal disappointment.

@hobbsilla Oh also you can use Spotlight as a calculator. Its able to handle equations with exponents, natural logs, log base 10. Also if you ever decide to use Launchpad you can download a Launchpad prefpan app that helps you organize it.

I agree 100% lion is the worst. I can't even uninstall it, I bought my mac mini preloaded with it. I talked to apple customer service and they basically told me my specific Mac product cannot downgrade to snow leopard because it was built for lion. So basically i wasted my money on this, I can't see my system files my program files anything, they hid everything in lion. Theres like bs settings for other settings. Lion Gay gay gay. My first Mac ever totally wasted. I love apple but this is a no.

I do hate launchpad, and I hate the sidebar and everything. I think apple rushed this out. But I agree on other things like the lack of color and custom icons in the side bar. HELLO, APPLE!
