reply to that man's questions to the audience member: why do you treat sunni and shia as being one body when they are made up of many sub-groups and are aligned to many political interests. the question was regarding the media attention on the negative aspects on those relationships and not the positive ones. and this is stifling peace building efforts between the parties.

@Sahabana126 brother when our prophet died the Muslims divided into 2 groups sunnis and shias. sunnis followed abu baker shias followed the prophets family ahlal bait because our prophet told us...sunni book Sahih Muslim say that Muhammad said in his last speech, I leave behind 2 things 1)quran and 2)ahlal bait. this hadith under merits of Ali, vol 4. hadith #2408 defines ahlal bait as Ali and his descendants

We sunnis have more right to Ali(ra) than shias, just as we muslims have more right to Jesus (as) than the christians. We love and respect Ali (ra) as he ought to be respected, we dont make Ali (ra) as Jesus (as) as Christians did. That is the main difference between us and shias. The 12 imams are the family of the profhet, if u dont believe in the the family of the profhet mohhamed, then dont claim ur self as a muslim.
