Heres the problem with marlee being def on DWTS, her partner didnt know how to work with her and didnt really have any intrest in working with her deafness and it messed her because he was listening and she was counting and they werent in synic and they were frustrated with eachother.

I don't need to sign in order to speak. I can speak well, though I do appreciate Ms Matlin's exceptional influence with the deaf people and to do something constructive with her life. Michael Buckley worked for at least 5 years with disabled (i think autistic ) children, and knows full sign language.
He really didn't mean any harm in this, he jokes and it sometimes comes off wrong to people who just come across him.

I usually love your videos, but this one kinda pissed me off with the making fun of sign language..since my parents are deaf, that hits home. Maybe your just making fun of the exploitation of Marlee and not just herself, like dcfc said.

I don't need to sign in order to speak. I can speak well, though I do appreciate Ms Matlin's exceptional influence with the deaf people and to do something constructive with her life. She doesn't have to hear at all to appreciate the challenges of dancing or doing something most hearing people would usually do.

people need to relax about this deaf thing. He really didnt do any deaf bashing at all, he was more making fun of the producers for making such a big deal about Marlee Matlin being deaf, even though everyone already knows that she is.
I have some Deaf friends and know ASL and was not offended whatsoever. I thought it was funny that he even bothered to learn a couple signs for his video.
