  • which software are you using for checking the PSU FAN SPEED. DO REPLY PLZ

  • No matter what the wattage of the new PSU is, your system will still only draw what it needs. And if the new PSU is MORE efficient than the old one, a new PSU can actually be cheaper to operate (all other things being equal)...it could even be FREE (or "less than free") to upgrade, if you figure out your savings over the life of the new PSU...

  • I wuz considerin gettin 1 of these but then I realised that the electricity bill would be through the roof! Our kettles only 1000w!!!! Its like constantly boiling water in a kettle!

    cheers

  • Does any power supply more than 600W have extra space for 2 6-pin PCI-Express connections from the bigger graphics cards?

  • 1200W? What the fuck do you do with one of these? Heat a sauna stove?

  • Good review!

HAHAHAHA the audio-faultage scared the crap out of me

  • holy shit !1200W!

  • @PCWizKid: Can i be install thisPSU in especific into the CM Storm Sniper case? Sorry if i insisted you to answer me in other videos, but i need to response me. Thanks and cheers.

  • Really nice video PcWizKid, really nice hardware reviews, really helped me out on working to building my own computer. Thanks for the help!

  • Great Review! Nice job PCWizKid

This power supply looks great, for any high end gaming system, and at 1200 watts you have room to upgrade.

But there is one thing I would like to point out. The modular connections from the PSU to the cables adds a marginal amount of resistance. From tests I have conducted the resistance of the modular connection is the equivilant of 6 feet of more cable.

This is not a very big deal, unless you strive for maximum efficancy.

  • It's a beast!!!

  • Ahahahahahahah 2:42

    Anyway,nice video!

  • it is proof that PCWizKid is actually an android

  • Google has probably created him.you know,"Google Android"...

  • ye lol its lake asimo falling down only not falling but being a repeating CD:P

  • i shat a brick when that happened xD then i laughed my ass off. My poor ass has has a hard time, no homo.

  • Very nice! Love the videos, keep it up!

  • i wonder how much the electricity costs to run it

  • 2:42 not that funny but made me rolf xD

Seems to be great product, but 1200W is just insane, even hc players or programmers etc. don't need over 750w(IMO),and if the heat or noise isn't causing a trouble, the electrical bill will. lol

  • I doubt he sends the stuff back. Manufacturers send out TONNES of review equipment for free, on the proviso that it's reviewed by the recipient. If that isn't the case here, then poor old PCWizKid is officially minted.

  • reallllllyyyyy 1200W????!!!!!

  • hey pcwzkid how you get the money for the stuff liek watts and graphic card? i barly got money for 9500 gt graphic card xp

  • He gets the stuff to review and after he's done he sends them back i guess.

  • 2:42 caught me off guard lol.

  • ahahahaa,

  • he was rapping :)

  • lol at the upside down PSU.

  • Pretynice PSU. Just little to much wats , for me , so im happy with my 500 antec ,od . psu.

  • nice

  • I think it's over doing it...300 watts can play some games on max

  • Wowzas, 1200 and 1500 Watts... That's a crapload of power - I'd like someone to send me a vid or pic of the computer they have this baby connected too - it must be sweetness.

  • 2:40

yeah I thought he was going to kick into an awesome remix but he didnt..was sorta disappointing but still.

  • what was that program that showed the fan rpm?

  • its called cpuz its free download search it in google

  • i have this in my pc it is crazy its a great power supply.

  • Great review! The audio glitch is hilarious!

  • Or you could buy a 650 watt for $80

  • holy shit

  • lol at "foolproof" xD

  • This is an overkill even for the components he mentioned in the beginning. Two physical processors, 3 of the latest graphicscards etc, THAT could give a reason to buy this PSU

  • That program he's using to show the fan speeds and all is called "Everest". You can get it free on the web, just google it. I am *AMAZED* at all it tells me about my computer! :O

He uses the most interesting things from the web. I wish he would tell us more about the programs he uses. I found 4 new programs so far from his videos, that I didn't even know existed! :D

    ~Cindy! :)

PLEASE TELL US MORE ABOUT THE COOL PROGRAMS YOU USE, WIZKID! :D

  • The audio problem scared me lol. Real surprise :)

  • Hahah, at 2:44 I thought my computer locked up again, it's usually the sound I hear before it bluescreens 0x50 or memory faults.

  • 650w

  • 2:42 i dunno if this happened to anyone else but i said lllllllooooooouuuuuuddddd

have a look to see if it does it for u

  • 1000w here in a Dell XPS 710 that is over two years old.

  • 550w here

  • 610 watt here

  • that is one hell of a box. my power supply fans no longer spin so i stripped all the dead weight of my machine + power supply and just turned the AC on. dust and condensation-sation-sation-sation are my enemies as oppose to overheating

  • an overclocked i7 and two GTX 295s wouldn't even get close to 1200W

  • 1500W ... DAMN

  • HOLY BALONI what was that on 2:43

  • it was me jizzing in your moms ass beeeeeach

  • LOL It was kind of a funny moment there. Don't think anyone was expecting any audio issues :P

  • WOW 2x 8pin 12v ,, fuck ,this shit is sick , ,

  • holy!! i never seen a 1200W power supply before. Thanks for the review.

  • I saw the review of a 1600W power supply in computertv channel. You have to call your electric company to install a special wall outlet to be able to use it.

  • 750 Watt here ... q6600 & 8800GT SLI

  • mine is 350w

  • it has a military look

  • sweet review man thanks

  • a little overkill even fro gamming pcs

  • lol i was tweaking with my mics that time and i thought i did that so i kept trying to do it again lol

  • 1500v.....holy sheet

  • do you narrate the video after you film it or while you film it?

  • Damn... In win is so new to the market yet, it's already becoming one of the best

  • yea i never heard of in win before untill now 2nd 1200 - 1500W supply i see 1st that can go 1500W

  • i really need a good power supply

  • holy fucking crap ur system is better than mine lol my thing sux. anyways if i buy a motherboard how do i know if its a 64bit or 32bit?

  • It depends on the hardware you're using, and not really the motherboard, 'cause it should sound rather funny with a "64bit motherboard". For example, if you have about 6gb ram, a 64bit CPU and a decent GPU, the 64bit version of that OS you're about to use, will take advantage of all that.

  • AMD athon 64 AM2+ 3000+ something like that is my processor (cpu) so it should be a 64bit? cuz when i installed my windows XP with 6 gb ram (2 slots taken 2gig each last 2 taken 2gb (1gb each) and it said i was using 3.25GB but it said that when i had 4gb cuz 3gb is max for xp srry for typing too much i checked my system it said its a 32bit instead of 4gig should be 2gb instead of 6gb it should be 3gb straight but i got 3.25gb

  • The limit for XP or any 32-bit os is 3.5 gb including video card RAM. Some computers will say you have 4gb but they will only use 3.5. Your computer is probably using 512mb from your video card and 3.25gb from your RAM

  • my video card is nVidia GeForce 9400 1GB edition but if i have an sli with 2 cards 1gb equal to 2gb that means i could have more ram?

  • It means the amount of RAM that your 32-bit OS will recognize is limited. 32-bit OS only recognizes 3.5gb of combined memory between your video card and your RAM. So your computer may display 4gb of RAM in the system properties menu but it will only utilize 3.5gb minus the amount of memory in your video cards

  • @Zillerz3, i'm sorry, but vRAM (the video card RAM) and RAM isn't the same thing.

  • i got a good question , look at 3 56 , how will the psu fan suck air when you mount it like that ?

  • @eduardxwx, good catch, this case doesnt have the holes at the bottom, but most of the new cases today do, so it would be installed the way I showed in the video.

  • or if you don t have a pc case with holes you just turn it around ? btw nice review !

  • Doesn't this case have those rails for the PSU to sit on so that air can get under it and into the fan?

  • I was just wondering if the fan on a PSU is only designed to keep the PSU cool or is it meant to keep the case cooler inside as well ?

Only wondering because he had the fan facing downwards.

  • The fans on power supplies are designed to keep the power supplies cool. I believe that they also help in removing some hot air from the case, but that is not their real job.

  • Okay thanks, I normally have the PSU on the top of the case with the fan facing down.

  • No problem. Just make sure you don't have the fans blocked or anything.

  • 2:43 XD

what a ton hughe thing man! o.0

  • hahahahah that sound fault scared me

  • hey

what is that programme he use's to monitor fan speed?

  • everest

  • Nice review.

  • i hate when you review in win because i see win and i think "yea contest"

  • My mother board can only fit a pentium 4,Should I build the pc then sell it?? **HELP!!!!***

  • Build a better PC....

  • you won't get much more than $50-100 for a p4. Just sell the board on ebay, somebody will buy it.

  • Wow, thats a shitload of cables.

  • awesome i wish i could be like you some day lol!

  • great PSU.

  • 2:42 ummm what happened

  • Hi yes everyone, Youtube messed up the processing of the video at 2:42, sorry about that, just ignore it.

  • Lately a lot of people have that problem on their videos

  • i prefer corsair

  • Price?

  • @Sirmau, click on the link in my video description for the latest price. right now there is a deal for $299

  • Youch! $299

  • indeed o.0

  • muppetalert

  • how you thing this would compare against

the hx1000w psu (i know its 200w under per-say performance)

  • @Omellykim, this PSU is 80+ efficient, silent , but the Corsair you mention has better 12v rails.

  • thx pcwk

    :)

  • You should probably buy a solar panel if your using that.

  • how is it better for a PSU to have 1 12 volt rail? or 2 or more is best?

  • For what do I need that much power..?

With 650W 80%+ I can supply high-end Cross or SLI system.

  • Amen to that.

  • Wow......... Your power bill is going way up, if you use this.

  • Wow... 1200W, I have a 300W... I really need to upgrade don't I.

  • well depends on how much power you need

  • 5th

  • I'm don't need so much power

  • Damn, that will consume alot of power O_o

  • and watch out for electricity bill lol
