  • I've seen those end titles of the Mr. Magoo cartoons hundreds of times and I could never figure out how he ended up as captain of the ship.

In retrospect, it's a little frightening to think about.

  • Sleventy-Slicks!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

  • Funny thing about Mr. Magoo - I didn't like the character that much (except for "Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol"), but I LOVED Jim Backus doing the voice!

  • Abe Levitow worked with director Chuck Jones (Warner Bros. and MGM) before and after his work with UPA.

  • What does U.P.A. stand for?

  • United Productions of America

  • These scenes are from the 1960's TV episodes.

  • Oh Magoo, you've done it again!

  • ouch please!

  • OMG! The Chinese racist stereotype of "Charlie" would never fly today. I don't think they would even be allowed to air this one! LOL!

  • @VladtheEmailer: Late 1980s syndicated and USA Network reruns of these 1960s Mr. Magoo TV episodes had Charlie's dialogue redubbed to eliminate the stereotypical "Chinese" accent.

  • Jim Backus (Mr. Howell from Gilligan's Island) was something else as "Mister Magoo".
