They have to abide by the laws that are already in place - let's be clear: It is the *law* in the UK that business are not allowed to discriminate based on race/colour/age/sex/sexuality.

I have also worked with people who are in homosexual relationships, and although i don't agree with sex between two people of the same gender, i had great a affection towards my collegues who i did occatioanlly socialise with after work. They knew that I was an evangelical christian so would have known my views, but we got on so well and enjoyed working together. It's unfair and ignorant to say christians hate gays.

My friend felt unable to contribute to a project that was about homosexuals. Not sure exactly what it entailed. Anyway, her collegue students critised her. The only person who didn't critise her was the gay guy. Instead he said he respected her view because although she didn't agree with homosexual sex, she had always shown him nothing but care and kindness. Just because you don't agree with something someone does, does not mean you hate them. It doesn't make you a bigot.

I have to say I agree with him. I'm gay, and I don't like to be discriminated against, but I don't think they should be forced to cater to everyone. Their business is not funded by taxpayers so why is it being called a public business? It's privately owned, and they should make whatever rules they want. I have a voice as a consumer not to do business with them. I can spread the word and tell people not to spend their money there. However wrong they were, I think they were within their rights.

If you look at his views on the Irish amongst other issues, he is anti-government interference. I don't agree with his politics, and I'd prefer a society where discrimination is not allowed in the public sector. I think another question is on what grounds can you refuse service?
