homer, it seems that it was in this video that you initiated the signature "plate turn" in your TRs, is this not correct? I really enjoyed this. Clearly, it was before the new first class was out, and it also was early on in your trip reporting: the video quality is not as good as it is now, and it's not as fancy as your TRs are now. Nonetheless, it is an excellent report! I can see why you prefer Emirates over LH!

You can find out on the EK website with your date and flight number. But I dont think you would get their latest product on the A 330.

Sorry..food is laways included on international flights of premium carriers. I believe United some time agao started to charge for it, but they had to give up on this given the protests of passengers.

Food came automatically. And they threatended to kick me out of the emergency exit in case I would not eat everything. But they gave me 7 hours to comply with my obligation. :)

What exactly do you do Mr. Homer? I do have the money to drop 20K on a flight for myself and my wife but then I won't be able to sleep for a month lol. I am young though. I work hard and save whatever I can so one day I could travel like you do. I've been to over 15 countries but I traveled coach and my dad paid for it lol. Hopefully one day I'll do it on my own. Great videos. Keeps me motivated.

Yes, i am very sure. They have 4 different F class configurations..and in my vid it is the oldest one..you must have been on a newer version:)

Thank you very much. You will find quite a few videos on youtube of passengers entering planes. As to me: i always ask crew before if they mind being on film..the ones who did not like the idea, you just have not seen on my videos:)

Hmmm, how does First Class Emirates compare to Lufthansa's first class? I've been to Germany twice been traveled using Lufthansa. First time flying going[US-Germany-Israel-German­y-US] Then second time just US-Germany-US. I'm very curious now, that is if you have traveled using Lufthansa.

Unfortunately I cannot really tell, have not flown LH for a long time. Yet, from all I see and read, they are excellent, too..and their First Class Terminal in FRA is sensational (there is a video on youtube). EK, though, has the luxurious private suites (also videos on youtube), which LH does not (yet) have; as to food, wines and service I would guess they are at the same lvel.

I happened to fly the Emirates A340-500 first class when i flew to frankfurt:D it was the best flight in my entire life :o)I flew first class because my dad is a captain at Emirates:o) Anyways...Great video!!!

Thank you very much! Well..you put me in a difficult position, lol. LH is my flag carrier..but I have not flown them for ages. Collegues who fly them and who look at my videos are very much amazed, though, about Emirates´service and always think what they see is first class, even when I show them a business class video. So I definitely think EK is not worse, lol..and all this at a usually lower price. Still: LH is a good airline..a very good one, I think.

Gebe meinen Vorrednern vollkommen recht, EMirates ist selbst in der Economy Class purer spass. Bin gerade Die Strecke Düsseldorf Seoul geflogen und die 18 (!) stunden waren sher angenehm, besonders das neue entertainment system ist spitze. allerdings ist die Boeing 777 wirklich besser.

Also auf einem rund 6h 30min flug gab es ja reichlich zu essen. Wirklich schade dass der A330 eingesetzt wurde. Tolles und ausführliches video. Mit EMirates macht fliegen spass und es kehrt wieder das fluggefühl zw. 30er- 70er jahren, nämlich dass es luxus ist. oder?

Ja, Luxus pur..aber der wirkliche Luxus kommt in den neuen Private Suites der First Class auf, die ich bisher leider nur besichtigen, aber nicht nutzen konnte..gleitende Holztüren in Messing gefasst, Yacht Design, weiches helles Nappaleder, private Bar, riesiger Bildschirm..ein Traum vom Fliegen:)

Ich hatte das Glück einen solchen Flug(Zürich-Dubai in einer A340) in der First Class zu geniessen!

Ich muss schon sagen ich habe NIE in meinem Leben so viel Komfort und gutes Essen erlebt wie in diesen 6 Stunden!

Ich kann es jedem weiterempfehlen,es ist kein Flug mehr es ist ein Erlebnis.
