Great video! You filled one of the major procedural questions that I had. I did not know that you were supposed to tap the extractor bit into the pilot hole that was drilled.
I think that more people will 'like' the video if you show the segments of the actions that you make during your video (like drilling, tapping the extractor bit, and then screwing it out. However, your instructions were clear, precise, and you left out the emotional fluff that waters down most videos.
Not easy drilling precisely into a small screw without damaging the internal threads even on a drill press. Plus the extractor diameter looks so small that it’s a good possibility breaking it, which makes the extraction process that more challenging.
I’ve been successful cutting a slot on the screw head with a Dremel than removing it with a flat head screwdriver – much faster too.
I've used the Irwin extractors with good luck. The key is to get the correct size, and use a good quality metal drill bit to create the hole.

Is there a specific brand that is better? Something that wont snap when you try to turn it? I have a rear axel waiting..

It would be nice to see you actually doing the extraction steps rather than merely talking about them.

Great video! Thanks!

As long as you can get to the screw with a drill bit and the extractor, the steps in the video should work.

How do you remove a screw that has the threads stripped and it is receased so you can get a hold of it.

@cooldog60 you don't

@tuhy Will I guess you do , Because they did it.

@cooldog60 well i guess you can, but if the threads are stripped and it's recessed, then it'll be a real bitch to get out. ten-fold if it's rusted.
