Not everything in the Bible is literal. This verse is talking about eternal life. Obviously if someone aims a gun at you head and shoots you, you're going to die (unless something supernatural occurs). But if the person that shot you did so because you were Christian, or because you refused to denounce Christ, THAT is what this verse is talking about.

Some things are literal, some things are not. Peace.

As for the James Bond character, I do not care much neither for his principles of action nor for many of his actions. Both of which happen to be faulty quite frequently. Cinematographically some Bond movies do have merits, however that does not constitute sufficient grounds for saying that I "love" James Bond movies
