Praise God for this video! Of course eternal life in Heaven is a wonderful gift and plan for those who believe, but when the church "sells" Jesus and His salvation plan like it is some feel good, get rich quick scheme...your life is going to have no bumps along the way, then the church is misrepresenting Jesus and the Gospel. People need to understand that they are sinners in need of a Savior, and that they have sinned before a righteous and Holy God...then true repentance will follow.
Not in vain Jesus said not to fear those who can kill the body... I would rather be tortured than go to hell. Lord give us grace to withstand what is ahead in this life and may we live in peacefull felowship with you and one another
@PedroViaud but how do you not fear .. using the example of the 14 yr old boy at the end how do you not look upon your childs suffering when hes being beaten to a pulp and trust in God.. I am a mother and I could not bare to see my children tortured in such a way I would do anything to prevent their torment and eventual death .. yes we all die but why should I allow my childs death in such a circumstance when I could prevent it even if that meant offering up my own life in return for theres
God created polio, science cured it. God created small pox, science cured it. God created leprosy, science cured it. God created 2.million different illnesses, science has found cures for many. God created infertility, science invented IN-VITRO and an estimated 15 million new lives. God`s life averaged 45 years, science extended it to 75. 100.000 innocent children died in Haiti suffocating beneath the rubble. This ALLMIGHTY god, didn`t lift a finger to help.Praise be to god !!
The Christian life is only wonderful to someone who is already a christian. The non regenerate will never see trials as wonderful. We handle our hardship through understanding Christ is receiving glory thru our sufferings and that the reward is an eternal one.
For the 10 years that I've been following God, about 8 1/2 years have been nothing but trials after trials. I'm tired of it. To me God just seems to be this distant being who only chooses certain people in this world to live a decent life and the others are just on the outskirts of life barely able to survive. Also people who don't even care about God will go on and be prosperous while Christians die of starvation. Yeah yeah God's ways are not my ways but his ways to me seem pretty messed up.
john - don't give up. Read Psalm 73. Part of it reads "For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. They have no struggles; their bodies are healthy and strong. They are free from the burdens common to man; they are not plagued by human ills" but Asaph goes on to say "Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever". Also Romans 8:18-30 is great on this.
@johnchang7 Job was an upright man, holy, religious, and loved God. He was chosen as God wanted to develop an even more in-depth understanding and one on one relationship with him by not relying on self but depend on him entirely. Job gets the point in the end and glorifies God for everything. God himself has told us that in this life there will be troubles but we are to set our eyes on him alone, carry our crosses and follow him.
@johnchang7 May I suggest that you investigate Joel Osteen's approach to Christianity. Or perhaps Carlton Pearson's gospel of inclusion. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. To learn the proper thoughts we must keep constantly in our 'hearts'; this can make a big difference in the outcomes of our lives.
This is a little more abrasive than the typical Christian fear-based recruitment tactic, but I think it's excellent. It reveals the nihilst ideologies of some of the more extreme cells operating right here in our own country. It's frightening, but people need to veiw this type of material!
Ahh, you are appearently far above all that. Let me guess, you have read plenty of books and gone to wonderful schools that have tought you a "truth" that you can accept. Almost as if truth is different for different people. Your and Island. Don't think for a second those christian fear mongors know something you don't. Your an island. Truth starts and stop with you. Hang in there and keep fighting the good fight oh defender of your "truth".
I don't know about the last story in this video, but I remember another story about a Father having to watch His Son be brutalized to death for the sake of saving people...or...do you doubt that story, too, Leadman1989?
And really, you've "caught on" that tv evangelists are full of it?
ok can anyone give a reference for to story in the end i would like to know if its actually true and actually occured "by reference i dont mean the 700 club"
and for the stats he just throws out 100 of thousands??? really??? face torture how???
the story is from the Jesus Freaks books put together by DC Talk...they have two and since i read them very close to one another i can't remember which one it is in (the 1st or 2nd vol.).
This is a great vidoe, there's another video that's similar to this that talks about a christian tortured by communists for his belief in Christ, check it out
You know, I know this video has truth in it. I hope I never have to face the situation of being martyred or having my child or other loved one martyred but I know that we should always stand by our Lord no matter what challenges we face. The "prosperity gospel" is not part of the Bible and it's a selfish teaching for those with money. There's a reason Jesus said the rich man will not easily enter the Kingdom. The way is narrow and so is the gate.

LaneCh: What I am saying is that there passages in the bible relating, rape, murder, plunder, slavery, adultery etc. without any word of condemnation. How can this ever be construed as the word of god? Peace !!
You didn't come to your conclusion from understanding the Bible. Here are a few verses from it:
He that strikes a man, so that he dies, shall be surely put to death. ... And he that strikes his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death. And he that steals a man, and sells him, or if he is found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death. And he that curses his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
(1Co 6:9-10)
There are many, many other verses that speak of condemnation for doing those things.
And the man that commits adultery with another man's wife, even he that commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
Well, since you changed your argument halfway through from saying the Bible makes no mention of condemnation for committing unrighteousness to not believing the Bible is the word of God after being met with the fact that it does make mention of condemnation, you probably won't accept this either:
What agreement does a believer have with an infidel?
The bible is like any other book. If you pick and choose you can find something uplifting, educational in " Mein Kampf" too. The bible contains murder, slavery, adultery, witchkraft, with no word of disapproval and therefore can NEVER be the word of God . Peace !!
OK, I got it. You know what God wants. You know his plan. It's one of misery and torture. He is an ass kicking God. Awesome. I will arm myself heavy and be ready for those Godless commie bastards.

amen We are all born to die so the only purpose we have is to choose where we will spend eternity.
Theirs going to be plenty of rich people who will not make it to heaven. Who ever loves their life more than God are not worthy of God.

This video makes a good point. But it fails to show that many of gods imprisoned ones such as apostle paul had a great enjoyment of christ.
We suffer as christians in this world, but spiritually we can be joyful! This is missing in this video.

I'm tired of the "cotton candy gospel" being preached today, giving food to wolves who have no desire to repent.
But as born again Christians we can rejoice that this is merely a sign of the times and our Lord is coming soon :) Keep watching Brethen!
