  • Hey its all the worlds best military experts arguing again on youtube =)

  • If anyone knows, what's Canada's main battle tank?

  • @TheMagicStool Leopard 2a6 and Leopard 1

  • Gotta love being a Leopard 2 gunner.

  • lookn good canada

  • why do we need vehicles like these? a tanks wont protect you from 4 60mm mortars blowing up below it... the only vehicle we should be using now in afghanistan are mraps(land), from what ive seen from it i'd feel a lot more safe in that than i would in even an abrams or challenger 2.

  • @milkwetcookies Thank god we don't have an Abrams or Challenger 2, then.

  • @RoudyRaccoon oh yeh those things are death traps! no that was sarcasm, both are really good tanks but were not fighting an A-symetrical-static defense war right now, so theyre fucking useless.

  • @milkwetcookies there presence is what matters.

  • @milkwetcookies Actually the tanks proved to be far from "fucking useless". They were so successful (bear in mind the Americans also thought heavy armour had no role to play in southern A'stan) that the US Marines and US Army have decided to deploy tanks to replace the Canadian Leo's that have left.

  • @cf80to01 can you send a tank to a FOB on a mountain top, or an OP? can you sustain it there if you do? Tank crewmen are considered POG's, not that they are horrible but Infantry can go everywhere, a tank can not... I have rarley ever seen video or even hear of a tank going out with infantry, you need ti lock down a village use a tank, but theyre useless, we dont need the armour, the Russians aren't going to come and suddenly we got another 73 easting. keep the LAV's, we dont need tanks.

  • @milkwetcookies ”The enemy in direct confrontation on the objective has killed very few Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan. It is on the way to the fight that our troops have been more regularly maimed and killed by mines, IEDs and fanatical suicide bombers. Tanks, with their superior armoured protection and mobility, have led as a default during all moves in both open and close terrain." Quote from DND briefing paper.

  • @cf80to01 alright, tell me where does an IED hit?does it hit the engine block?the front of the tank?no,they are hit on the belly, their weakest points,MRAPs are ment to counteract IEDs,they were specificaly made for being hit by mines and IEDs,thats why their belly is more protected than you average infantry veh.tanks have next to no mobility when it comes to a closer enviros like a town,an LAV does have les armor but it can protect itself better and with mobility, while properly suporting infan

  • @milkwetcookies An IED can hit from the sides or below. The Canadian C2 Leo's were replaced for that reason with Dutch Leo 2A6M (Mine protected). It was proven that the Leo gave the NATO forces the ability to breach walls and drying buildings that the LAV just could not do. The 120mm gun (and associated optics) also allowed the CF to own the night around their FB and to effectively engage targets that otherwise would have required the use of artillery.

  • @cf80to01 no now your talking about VBIED's , mainly when an IED goes off and they want to kill a tank it's easy but even if it goes off near it, they still may get a mobility kill. what are infantry normally engaged with? small arms, rockets, mortars, enough not to kill the village the bad guys fight beside. whole point is 1: you dont need tanks, they cost too much to buy and maintain for what they are worth 2: LAV's are more suited for heavier fighting in afghanistan 3: why use them?

  • @milkwetcookies Clearly you did not read my post. A Leo can provide fire support that artillery can not. A Leo can provide NV/Thermal beyond the range of the FB. Ask any infantryman who has been to A'stan if he thought the Leo provided valuable support.

LAV's are lightweight. The idea to replace tanks with Strykers died when the Strykers got to A'stan. LAV's have their place, but they are NO substitute for a MBT.

  • @cf80to01 I did, I literaly read the WHOLE THING... but tell me this... why do we NEED tanks, not as an improv, but what is esential to them? LAV crewman are technically infantryman too, so they can dismount and function as a patrol, add to they can carry infantry, and support them even at an FOB where they NEED the extra protection and to maintain a tank at an FOB is near impossible. Im not just talking about LAVs im also talking about MRAPs and i forgot about rotor wings which btw IEDs cant hit

  • @milkwetcookies How does a Tank need support that a LAV does not? I can assure you that when a tank rolls into town people pay attention. LAV's support their infantry sections, Tanks support the Coy. The difference between helo's and tanks is that helo's are meant to get away from the danger...tanks support the infantry. The job of the infantry is to close with and destroy the enemy.

  • @cf80to01 easy, LAVs can provide protection by keeping the troops on the inside of the vehicle, they have longer range, they can be maintained at an FOB where it is NEEDED. we don't run and gun through towns, we dont search out the bad guy in a balls out assult needing tanks. tanks use three different kind of main gun rounds: a buck shot type deal, SABOT which is a GIANT BULLET MEANT TO KILL TANKS, and HIGH EXPLOSIVE! Something about those dont seem to appeal to not hitting a goat... just a gues

  • @milkwetcookies I am guessing you never served in the military.....just a gues Read about engagements the RCD, 12RBC...etc have had in A'stan. The 25mm won't penetrate mud brick walls, the 120mm will reach out and touch a bad guy to 4000m. The LAV is a LIGHT armoured vehicle, the Leo2A6M is arguably the most IED/mine resistant tank in the world.

  • @cf80to01 your right, I've never served in the CF, and I do believe I am not 100% accurate, but I'm not one of those people who are arm chair pattons and never even think about serving, only one more year for me. But I can definently tell you are not 100% accurate too. ex. the MRAP's that Ive been talking about half the time next to an LAV, is literally meant to stop IED's and mines. LAV's can easily punch through mud bricks using AP rounds being more quiete and quick.

  • @milkwetcookies The problem is you are trying to use a blanket solution to the question of armour in A'stan. There is a place for MRAP, LAV and heavy armour. That is the reason that they have all been used in theatre. Ask an infantryman what he/she wants when they step into the battlespace. They want Artillery, Air and Armour. The LAV 25mm can not punch through most mud brick walls quickly.....the 120mm can.

  • @cf80to01 Your right, there is a place for everything used in Afghanistan I can agree, but the roles for the tank in Afghanistan have evolved into less of an infantry support role, I have looked everywhere on the internet, in libraries and on the news for literally hours of instances where tanks have been used in Afghanistan with infantry... non have come up, and I am not shitting you. if a 50.cal can tear through brick walls I`m sure a 25mm AP can penetrate mud. p.s how do u know this?

  • @milkwetcookies Search this I believe it is from the Canadian Army Journal)CANADIAN ARMOUR IN AFGHANISTAN

    Major Trevor Cadieu, CD

  • @cf80to01 I frankly don't trust the opinions of oficers as much as I do of an enlisted man. I kno I sound nit-picky but I honestly don't, I got 5 actual frends curently in the CF as Infan and they all arnt too fond of them. Personaly thou armor cood be dun without. If armour was really that effective at puting down the enemy than how come nearly 1/4 canadians comin back from Afghanistan suffer from a mental ilness. I know its war but it really shouldnt be so high if armour does the job u portray

  • @milkwetcookies You can trust that particular essay. Service journals are peer reviewed and ANY non-supportable "facts" will be brought to light in the following issue.

Consider that the armour is (as stated in the essay) only a component of the whole fighting package. Canadians typically use the Combat Team as the smallest combined arms fighting unit. As for the PTSD, there is some evidence that the CF actually suffered less than her allies.

  • @cf80to01 No not PTSD, it is literally some form of mental illness. I frankly don't need a lesson on how canadians opperate in their combat teams. driving away from that point though, it seems that the USMC is using LAR units to span out to be more combat effective, and the USMC and the US military in general has been more involved in the afghan war than Canada has(not that Canada is carrying its weight). I personally trust the opinions of a more "involved" armed force plus the facts as I see.

  • @milkwetcookies Okay, we are done. Canada asked to serve in the Panjwaii district to prove its' resolve. Canada lost soldiers at a higher rate than any other NATO country. You have "5 actual frends" in the CF but you apparently hold the USMC as the standard to follow. Long story short, you have no idea what you are talking about. I served for 21 years, my son is leaving for A'stan mid March. When YOU wear the uniform we can debate, until then, stick to COD.

  • Shoulder to shoulder in the trenches. Men who went over the top. Brothers in Arms. This Aussie sends his respects.

  • I live near CFB Petawawa and see LAV's and Coyotes almost everyday driving to the firing range

  • Canada= USA

  • @jesusonXTC we have the same accent that about all we have in comon that and freedom

we are more polite allot helthyer

  • Comment removed

  • @jesusonXTC Wait actualy u jeloues u dont have are tanks and such? lol

  • @takarlor12 I'm from israel and we have the best tank in the world, read about merkava mark 4

  • @jesusonXTC yea no body gives a fuck about you on this video if u didnt notice

  • @jesusonXTC Sweden has the most modern tank force in the world.

  • @DJonX7 no canada and usa well canada a bit more he he

  • @DJonX7 really...not aware of it. Please let me know how Sweden has the most modern tank force...I'm interested

  • @good2goskee they buy the latest leopard tanks and make many technical and mechanical changes to it. you can look it up. the merkava mark 4 has proven safety defects in the turret, Abrams are harmful to the users and the round isn't as powerful and the gun isn't as long as the leopards. The best tanks of today are built off of the Leopard design.

  • @DJonX7 interesting...I think it makes sense b/c Sweden has always been lean-and-mean. But, I think few things trump the latest of German tech.such as, the German Leo2 A7...nice chatting

  • @jesusonXTC LEO 2 = the best. Other than IDF...who buys and tests Merkava?

  • @jesusonXTC you wish that don't you?

  • half u people don't even know what talking about save the army guys ( go army )

  • thanks for using german products

  • Do we have humvees?

  • @andreitalia78 Yes we have over 10,000 hum vees in my prototype shop right now we have bison, track vehicles hum vee's etc.. my favorite is probably the M1113 ASV or the C6

  • I'm not sure why someone on here said that we can't fit the new Leo's on our C-130's because we are waiting for the Russians Antanov. Maybe you forgot that Canada has 5 of the new Heavy Lift Transport from Boeing that can move these tanks anywhere, anytime, we don't need the Russians any more. Thank goodnes we voted out the Liberals, otherwise we'd still be driving around in the Iltis covering ourselves with blast blankets.

  • @wilflundy The new aircraft canada bought is the c-17 (c-177) Globemaster III we only got 4 BTW noot 5

  • @acupoflego I stand corrected, yes we only have 4. Still better then waiting for the Russians or the Americans to give us a lift.

  • I wouldn't mind a used G-wagon the civilian version starts at $100k

  • canada needs better stuff. the US has so much cooler and better stuff.

  • @199291931 Leo 2 rocks and is considered the best MBT in the world by many experts

  • And this comes from your years of military experience with the canadian forces and us army?

First and foremost the LAV III and "Stryker" are the exact same vehicle.

The M1 Abrams and Leo 2 have the EXACT Same 120mm L44 Gun (Except Leo 2A6 which has L55)

The leo 2 has a longer fuel range than the abrams.

US uses a HEMTT as its main support vehicle, a piece of garbage compared to the canadian AHSVS.

    Do some research.

  • @tds94probe relaxe titty baby

  • @tds94probe LAV-III is more heavily armed,

I'm sure the US uses the stryker for only"Troop Transport"

Us Canadian's use it for attacking and transport.

Not sure though, but would make sense

  • @PcGamerPaul

The lav has the same armour the stryker does, it wasnt until afghanistan that we started bolting extra armour plating to the LAV III in response to the IED threat level. Americans use the stryker for the same purpose, but they have a RWS mounted on top where we have the turret.

  • @PcGamerPaul Actually both do the same thing. The us strykers are used to support there troops just like our Lav's are. There there to transport troops deploy them and provide fire support. the fact is even with a @%MM cannon on it the best your gonna take out is possably another Light armoured Vechile. The US army prefers tracked vechiles and there equivilant to our LAv3 for the purpose is the M2 Bradley infantry fighting vechile. Basicaly an extended M113 with a turret and Tow capability.

  • @acupoflego Yeah man Stryker is fucking awesome man but i notice when i type into google images it comes up with Stryker with M2 Heavy (RWS) (ICV). I'm assuming you can add a 25mm cannon onto the Stryker. I'm hoping Stryker gets good views from US Forces members eh? :D

  • @199291931 i can tell your a whiny bitch ass teen ager thinking if he goes on the internet and says he's a 4 star general and shit to get respect, it doesn't matter how cool you look dumbass its either be protected and safe or watch some taliban or al quadea trigger an IED and blow you to shit

  • @tbandjz actually im a 10 star general ;)

  • @199291931 hey dip shit there's no such thing

  • @allamerican51 well i was just promoted to 20 star general ;)

  • @199291931 Fuck, don't even joke about that you don't know what our armies are putting through their asses to save US

  • @tbandjz joke about what? and what are they saving us from? the US funded the taliban. the war in my opinion is bullshit a waste of our soldiers -.-

  • @199291931 Not that the war is about counter terrorism but its still a huge factor in the Afghan mission but a huge factor is natural resource, North America is plentiful of oil but we will run out of oil in about 35yrs. and with that being we have to fight to get what we need and we can't shoot someone unless they shoot first, somebody must have drawn canadian or american blood.

  • @199291931 i have one question for you: do you know what the highest ranking general is ? well apparently you don't dum ass so i'll tell you its a 5 star general no exceptions

  • @allamerican51 Well dum ass you spelt dum wrong. I'm actually a super general i am now a 38 star general :)

  • @allamerican51 Congratulations you've played Halo, I'm extremely impressed.

  • @BoysIncorporated101 1 bite me 2 fuck u i no cuz my family is military meaning every guy in our family has served 2 go fuck ur self

  • @allamerican51 Lol u mad bro?

  • @199291931 Define kewl stuff, the Us is not different from any other army, Most of the equipment they procure is for domestic use with 10% being fully battle ready (up armored etc etc). So even though it may look kewl its mostly still junk.

  • They will be not be taken out from service in awhile the C2 will be used as a training tank

  • Leo 2 is already in action.. old pictures

  • the canadians still use the old leo1? thought they already replaced them with the leo2

  • @Sicklehead88 they are "replaced" we have them in afghanistan, but none actually in Canada, due to the fact that they are too wide to be accomodated on our C-130 Hercules transports, and are awaiting Antonovs. after we pull out, whenever that may be.

  • don't understand the army suv's

  • Could never do without Canada.

    UK

  • @Thisbloodypave Glad you're with us and that we share a rich history.

  • Yeah, Canadas military is the best

  • Our LAV sucks dick, they have no armour, the new APC is far better, fast and uses tracks with far more armour.

  • @DvineGaming

What APC are you referring to? I wasn't aware the LAVs had been replaced... Or are you referring to the proposed infantry fighting vehicle?

  • @EruditeCanadian I forget the name, but it was a new model without a turret, it holds more people and has a 50.cal mounted.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @DvineGaming I think your trying to name the Bison APC. My uncle was operating one of these in Kandahar for a while before moving on to Leos. Most of them have a 7.62mm mounted behind the driver and a way bigger compartment for passengers.

  • @EruditeCanadian LAV's are still in place. Bison is used on the side. The IFV (LAV III) is still being used. Although the G-Wagens for the most part have been replaced by TAP-V's. (Overseas at least). Leopard 2's/C2's are used overseas.

There's some other vehicles I can't remember for the life of me right now.

  • @Rnder12

Right on.. I guess the military is planning on augmenting the LAVs with a tracked infantry fighting vehicle like the bradley. I believe that they are leaning towards the Swedish CV90.

Who knows though... We were also supposed to be building a bunch of armed icebreakers, AORs and amphibious assault ships, but those projects have gone nowhere fast...

  • @DvineGaming r u in the forces?

  • fuck yah leopard two's nothing beats that shit... in my opinion of course

  • So our army invested in 2 "decent " vehicles as i've seen.... Leopard and LAVIII.......

So how much "shit ", did they invest in? Here's the list...... LSVW, G Wagon, MLVW, HL, Coyote..... Please help me if im missing any.... By the way.... We bought the LSVW instead of the hummer.....Id like to know who picks this fleet of vehicles.... Becuase they are fucking junk. 2 Good pieces of kit... out of 7.... I speak from experience....

  • @87RCB The MLVW is good, but old. HLVW is certainly better than the 5 tons it replaced. The Gwagon is significantly better than the ILTIS it replaced. The Coyote was arguably the best recce suite of its day. The LSVW was junk from day one. The M113 family is good. M109 were good. Bison is good. AVGP's were crap. Frankly I think the hits outweigh the misses.

  • @cf80to01 Dont forget the RG 31's those things rock.

  • @battlefieldchris Exactly! another hit.

  • @87RCB dude the hummers are shit too theres no point in investing in them either, the US MILITARY redused it to a "useless hulk" themselves so.........

  • @ilovedogs4780 canada does use hummers too.

  • Does Canada still use the G Wagons on patrols or have they toned it down and began using LAV III's in order to reduce the number of IED casualties?

  • @LacrosseKidd4 were using only armoured vehicles outside of Kandahar Airfield.

  • @6digit yes they do colt canada makes many fire armys plus the LAVs were made by us theres much more but im not gonna waste my time

  • what wheres the LSVW! thats the "greatest" vehicle in the military, jks,

plus the gwagon is OK but its underpowered

  • does Canada can produce there own war materials or not?

  • @6digit Yes we do >We build the Lav 4 armored personel carrier in my city .We produce Pratt and Witney Jet engines for fighter aircraft. We produce robot technology for NASACanadarm). We have one of the most technologically advanced economies in the world in addition to unlimited resources and the most successful post recession economy IN THE WORLD as a result of a stable, managed banking system

  • @toadrobot there is simply no Canadian Tank xD thats why Canadians buy finest German Tanks... and it's "sauerkraut" you racist bastard...FU

  • @ThugCologne

    Schwachsinn.

Deutschland benutzt den Leo1 seit Jahren nicht mehr.

  • @natsplit wer spricht denn hier auch vom Leopard1 ? ich mein den Leopard2a6 !

  • @ThugCologne

"Germans inveted this Tank, Germans build that Tank and Germans use that Tank ,too ...and also Germans sell that Tank on Allies"

Und vielleicht wäre es generell angebracht sich nicht ganz so großkotzig gegenüber den Canadiern aufzuspielen. Immerhin hast du mit Sicherheit nichts zum Leo1 oder 2 beigetragen ;)

  • @toadrobot You shitface are my bitch! tsss dumbass

  • missing the rg31, mrap buffalo and cougar, husky and bison.

  • great vid... lousy music.

  • MrJJackYT is Back His new name is HRMacQuacken

  • those jeeps are a piece of shit. honestly a waste of canadian tax payers money

  • @m1a2abrams100 haha...thats what yo think and their G wagons just as good as the hummers

  • @m1a2abrams100 they probably run better than humvees fuckin do

  • thats the mercedes _______ ? the jeepish thing.

  • @judedAdudE77 G class/ G wagon

  • @BaconTV123 yes we use lav 3 and coyote's also t-lav which is a m113 made longer basically.we have some lav 3's with tow missile turrets as well.i forget what thye call them.if you can see through the bull at basic and go in with the mind that it's a game and just keep your head down and mouth shut then it's easy to get through it and i think it's worth it.

  • @rayoliver34 nice cause im not sure if i wanna be with the LAV or the Leos you know witch ones better

And im for ur friends that died in combat may the never be forgotten and rest in peace

  • @BaconTV123 sadly you don't get a choice.you get put where your needed.every year or 2 we switch around though.some guys will mopve jobs and some won't.i've driven tank, been a gunner in a lav i was assault troop i was in hq spare parts handing out parts to mechanics.i've been on the refuelr truck and right now i'm in transport doing troop lift and supplies.that's what makes us better troops than americans.we train on alot so were not screwed if someone is killed.

  • @rayoliver34 oh well in that case its better cause i wanna do the LAVs and Leos so its all good and in the CF dont you get trained with all weapons and gear in case ur guy goes down you can take over his job...And thanks for talking ur time to tell me this stuff most the time people just pas you by so its nice

  • @BaconTV123 yeah we train on all weapons.i don't mind taking the time,it's n o problem :o) .alot of the guys in the forces are friendly.some are old school and don't bother with new guys for a couple years. lol.but for most part alot are friendly and joke around alot.we also have ski doos and quads in the forces.i also drive forklift and ski doo on top of the usual vehicles.there's alot of traeds to pick from as well like engineer, fire fighter, mp ,dentist,it s a mini world of it's own.

  • @rayoliver34 ya i know thats why i wanna join with all the choices i cant stand being in school at a desk for 6 hours a day i wanna do stuff live life to the fullest if you know what i mean and what base you stationed at cause i mean i live close to CFB Gage town 2 hours away and in the summer troops come down where i live to train with the tanks and LAVs

  • @BaconTV123 yah i'm in gagetown right now.you in sussex then?usually we go there once a year but did'nt this year.lack of funds i think lol.i was in petawawa for 9 yrs then posted here after tour.

  • @rayoliver34 Ya im in sussex just wondering cause i might have seen or mayby even talked to you in the past years...and they did come down this year i was talking to a Lt. when they where show off their toys to the public

  • oh and we beat the a1abrahms even with our older kit in war games goes to show the hermans know good engineering

  • @rayoliver34 where using 30 year old tanks and the work better then brand new M1s plus we have better training

  • @BaconTV123 yup i know lol i've been armoured 12 yrs now.i'm r.c.d

  • @rayoliver34 not sure if i shoud join after high school or not im 14 now soo would it be a good choice?

  • @BaconTV123 if I were you I would think about it for 3 more years. If you feel the same way you do now. You will most likely have a better idea of what you would prefer/dream to pilot more or if Military is what you want for sure. Chances may be slim but who knows maybe in 3 years they will have some new Tanks and APC's in our arsenal you might forget all about those 2 lol. Take care man g'luck with your decision.

  • @CapnCrossbones hey im 13 i can change my mind

  • @BaconTV123 well i've enjoyed it so far.i've travelled quite a bit it's decent pay,job security if your not retarded.pretty hard to get kicked out.although even in the middle of a contract you can ask to leave if you have better options out there so your not stuck normally.you make extra money when your out in the field and extra when your on tour.my last tour i made 22,000cdn tax free for being in afghanistan and my reg pay was'nt taxed for the 6 months either.it's not for everyone.

  • @rayoliver34 plus in the armored do you guys use the LAVs or just tanks? Cause im thinking about joining up in 4 years

  • xboxguy i have'nt driven the newer leopards but the old one leaked at the hatch alot and was'nt very comfortable for me, hot in summer cold in winter when the heater did'nt work.you can sleep on the back deck in winter and keep warm all night.i was a lav3 gunner for tour and it was uncomfortable lol.banged knees and elbows on everything was hot as fuck cause air con was busted curtosy of a 82 mm heat round.in all the lav is great.

  • dude theres a hell alot more vehicles in the Canadian army

  • Canada doesn't use the G-wagon anymore in combat

  • USA+Canada+UK= allies forever

  • Germans inveted this Tank, Germans build that Tank and Germans use that Tank ,too ...and also Germans sell that Tank on Allies

  • Why is the abrams in the vid it's not Canadian

  • @BaconTV123 I'm sorry, where do you see the Abrams? The tanks in the video are the German engineered Leopard 2A4, but they're in use by the CF.

  • @paladin12122 o wait never mind 0:56 kinda looks like a abrams

  • @BaconTV123 it's like any job though either you like it or hate it.but once your in you can also changed trades too.i'm thinking of going mseop or postal clerk.i've been in combat and almost died and saw friends die so i've just had enough now but military life is still for me you really can't beat it unless your a doctor or have some high paying job.i make 55k a year plus extras.full benefits too and your family would get benefits too.we get alot of time off and it's a relaxed pace in my trade.

  • is there an expeiienced lav III driver here, or a lepord driver, if so, could u tell me what dirving it is like?

  • @xboxguy0105 im sure its a hell of alot of fun

  • @Ak47oyd

Leopard 2a6m is the best tank

The shity m1 abrams is the 3rd best

    And U.S army sucks

  • The leopard 2 was picked for the Canadian forces because it has the worlds best tank defence system. It uses small explosions to dampen the main impact of the rocket or what ever is about to hit the tank. Very cool!

  • The M1A2 was modeled after the German Leopard tank. If you look around the British and Israeli tanks are similar in design. The Leopard has advantages over the M1A2 in gas mileage and maintenance. You can put the engine and drop another one in quickly. What it comes down to is the skill of the tank crew. The M1A2 120mm main gun is German made. No wonder. The Germans are the best tank builders.

  • @stickboy1010

The M-1 Abrams and the Leopard 2 were developed in the 1970s, following the failure of the MBT-70 program. The Leopard entered service in 1979 with the West German army. The Abrams entered service with the US Army a year or 2 later. It was intended to up-gun the Abrams with a licensed-produced copy of the German 120mm gun.

  • Abrams r the best tanks in the world suck it up you America haterz, just jealous cause we are the most powerful military force in history, and I'm a Cavalry scout in the U.S. Army HOOAH!

  • @AK47oyd I wouldn't get too cocky, you are actively engaged in two wars and looking to get into the third (Iran). You might want to try and keep the few allies you still have.

  • @AK47oyd Leopard 2a6 is actually better. I respect the U.S., but not the cockey full of themself people who think they're better than anyone else. Respects to all NATO forces in the war.

  • Comment removed

  • @AK47oyd nahh, while yes it is advanced and combat tested, it's a bitch to maintain and requires a large logistics chain to maintain, so it is difficult to use and deep invasion scenario in heavy country. The Leopard 1 and 2 are not only more inexpensive they are also far more robust and easy to maintain, perfect for long deployments and even tank-hunting guerilla tactics, a strategy the Germans planned to use against the soviets. An enemy can simply wait until you run out of money or fuel ;)

  • @AK47oyd So, you can't spell, your an United States Patriot, you assume that your weapon systems are better then everyone else's, and your nickname has a Russian made weapon in it. Hmm?

  • I think crew training is one of the most important things when operating a vehicle of war. That being said, the Germans definitly make some of the worlds most kick *** stuff and I think we definitly made the right choice in buying this for our forces.

  • WE HAVE MORE VEHICLES THEN LAV 3'S

  • what is this song called?

  • hell yea. im on week 11 of my basic then sent to gaugetown to learn to drive one of these bad boys. fuck yea.

  • If you hope to get any of your mail, you might want to learn how to spell. It is Gagetown, not gaugetown. PS.... learn to love balckflies, mosquitoes and mud.

  • @cf80to01

Doesn't matter how you spell it. You spend a year in D-24 and you want to shoot yourself.

  • You are preaching to the choir! I spent a couple of years in the shack in Gagetown before they had the ESQ's. They were quite a step up, and a lot less stumbling distance from the Camelot. Is D24 the shack on the west side of the old herbie parade square?

  • @cf80to01

I'm just trying to picture a map in my head. They're in the same row as the old RCR barracks. Its not like I'm going to see them any time soon... my next trip there is going to be spent in M5.

  • The shacks around the herbie parade square must be the C-lines then. It has been some time since I was there. Good times though. Gagetown was the best kept secret in the CF...... everybody hated the base, but most had only been there on exercise. As a posting it was great..... other than trying to mow the lawn with mosquitoes that could suck a housecat dry.

  • @cf80to01 blackflies not balckflies haha

  • @dhmancam lmao good luck... your lucky your armored and not infantry because gagetown is just a big swamp
