Not really, python is a programming language. Qt is cross-platform library (GUI library + some other nice stuffs). You can even use Qt with python.

Nope, S60 is far ahead, you can develop in over 4 languages, like Python, C++, WRT, Basic.

LOL sorry. brain fart. Anyways...have you seen the iphone SDK and IDE? It's light years ahead of symbians. While python and QT are awesome, WRT sucks -- it lags, very limited fuctionality, have to hit "yes i want this app to have access to X" EVERY TIME you run the app, and basic..yuck...also not to mention that all the APIs are different when using C++ on every symbian phone...for example, the compass API is completely diff on nokia phones than on samsung...Symbian is just so unorganized.

Actually the crappy iphone just has one objective c. python is supported unofficially. Symbian officially supports c++, open c, python, qt, ruby, flash, java etc...
