Nizlopi has to be one of my favorite bands ever, seriously most people only know them for the JCB song which kinda frustrates me. With so many amazing songs they never got the recognition they deserved!
this is probably my favourite song. the cords and lyrics are particularly fantastic the fact that its not very well known makes the song all the more special.
such a great band! You guys better not stop making music together! if you do I will hunt you both down >( whoever controls this account can pass on the message from me :D
Luke tells me the first part is a traditional greeting in Senegal, basically 'Hello'. And of course 'Je sus Mamadou' = my name is Mamadou, a very common name in Senegal.
This song is so beautiful. I love how ethical it is, you have told this story so well, I didn't know this went on in Dakar but now I do, thanks for spreading the word! :)
This song is heart-breakingly perfect. Cannot wait to see the guys in Portsmouth. We're gonna eat soul food, and then sing some, dance some, love some Soul Music.
oh my god! i fucking love this song, not only has it got nizlopi....but djembe and kora!!! what more could i ask for?!?!? cant wait to see you in portsmouth!!!!

@BartonBG
...and what i really don't understand is the name of the band.
Luke said, the name comes from a hungarian girl.
It's strange, cause i'm hungarian, but I never heard about that surname.
So, have an alternate name , and it's "Noszlopi", but Nizlopi...never mind.
By the way, they are one of my favourites.

@BartonBG
you have to remeber that both Luke and John are dyslexic....it should have been Nozlopi.....
