On the C-Serpent when he shoots flames you can jump over them onto the square in front of you and do a fury of attacks. That's what I did.

Nice Job with all the bosses. On the C-Serpent if you're good at jumping you can jump right over both Fire's that he spits out. I've done it every time I play and you can wail on him with the Yo-Yo. ((Or Island Star)) Soooo many more hits in on the snake than the fire.

It's cool. I also heard that if you can time it right, you can jump right up near the Cyclops' heads and pummel them. I haven't seen it done, or tried it yet, but I'm gonna give it a go on my current re-play through ((Not for my LP, but just personal))

im guessing you either played this religiously as a child or you have practiced on a PC with save states..or you are just really good at hard old games and don't die on the boss battles which take a long time to learn how to defeat properly. 90s kid or new age imposter!

I loved playing this game. I bought it used at a garage sale, and halfway through there's a 3 digit code you have to put in to continue (which is in the manual). I didn't have the manual, and there wasn't internet at the time, so as a kid I just sat and entered every combination until I could continue. It was lame.

Hahah I remember that as well. I got the game second hand and didn't have the parchment letter that came with the code so I had to use the Nintendo code hotline which cost $2.99 per minute to get the code.

This was one of my favorite games as a kid, but I was such a lousy gamer that I couldn't figure out where to go after the first boss or two, I didn't comprehend RPG's at all. I just loved the game for its artwork and enemies, especially the manual art of them. This is the first time I have ever seen the bosses past Magma Giant...I love the seashell monster, it's just bizarre! Hoodoo is also awesome, based on those weird artifacts.

I always got the tar beat out of my at the magma boss, my grandmother and I would take turns playing, thats right, my grandmother, she would play super mario world 1 and 3 every morning for 4 hours, by the time I would wake up she had 1 beat and was in world 8 of 3, gave herself trigger thumb playing nintendo, she sticks to computer games now

Littel trick I've learned about Zoad form 1, you only need to hit him four with anything times to kill him. However, each hit must be on a sperate appearance of his head. Basicaly, each time the head shows up, hit it once, then dodge. Repeat this 3 more times, and he will be dead on the fourth appearance of his head. I learned this trick from a StarTropics forum and yes, it works.
