Dude is so off. Lil Wayne does not belong in the three examples you listed, people don't love his music just because he's "in," Lil Wayne is so smart and creative with his wordplay and talent. As are many other rappers. I can understand why you would say T-Pain or Soulja Boy, they really do suck. Not Lil Wayne. You're right, his music doesn't necessarily have meaning to it...but who cares.? He talks about shit people like nowadays, and his talent and skill are amazing.

Actually, AUTOTUNE was not meant to be an effect. It is a correction tool used to correct pitch and key of singers during recording sessions. It simply saves time and keeps the singer from having to redo a whole vocal to fix a small imperfection. I personally cant stand autotune  because its not new. AUTOTUNE is simply the new VOCODER when used as an effect. People have been using vocoder way before T-pain was ever even thought of.

Rap never was good. The only good rap song I have ever heard in my entire life is King of Rock by Run DMC. Wow. An entire genre of music with only one good song. A lot of people focus on the meaning of the songs. I don't care about that as long as it's not offensive.  I focus on the musical aspect of rap. If you can call it music. Which you can't.
