Not updated like yours in engine (yet) A few months later I took my 2006 Holden Commodore (3.6 litre) out against it (my son in prelude) & got blown away. At speed ludes are made for speed - i.e. aerodynamics (I know as pro pilot for 30 yrs). I'd like an engine rebuild for him, but I have to say, after seeing your vid - as a father its scary to think of what a built lude can put out.

@Halocon The H22A4 is newer and has 7kw more power. I've got a H22A1 prelude with upgraded headers and air filter and it's 120kw at the wheels. The H22a1 seems to be 4th gen, h22a4 seems to be 5th gen.
are they the illumanescant dials? if so that may explain why the needle is all over the place, to the dumasses sayin learn to shift listen to the fuckin engine noise the engine isnt makin noises that corroborate with the rev needle. also i live in england had a jdm h22a and that mother revved all the way to the end of the redline, which im guessin was about 8400rpm so it appears its quite easy to adjust limiters. and just for the maker of the vid, that lude of urs movess dude!! nice vid!
@Uberman170 Thanks bro - yea the hondata ecu has an option to have the rev limiter set to be either fuel cut off or both fuel and ignition cut off - so i went with the fuel and ignition and so now the rpm guage shuts off for that split second that the ignition shuts off :P

Apparently a lot of haters are on here. top speed is based on the gearing and rpms... stock h22a4 with the stock trans revs to 7200 i believe. On stock/none chipped ECU. The dude here has hondata which removes the stock rev limiter and put his fuel and ignition cut to his new rev limit he set. Stock h22 tranny goes to 155 at 7200. he revs to 8000 rpms. 800 more rpms is enough for 160mph if not a little bit more....

@sk84life53 The SRS is on because i have a Sparco Steering wheel. Did go 160 because a stock prelude only revs to 7,600rpm - so if you raise the rpm, you raise speed. I can shift - it aint that hard.... i just hit the rev because i wanted to - i had no rush. something everyone needs to know is that the speedo needle lands on the window for the odometer right at 140 and you can still see the rpms going up thus the speed increases. and also 8000 shouldnt hurt this engine because he has a built valve train to eliminate valve float
to anyone saying he only did 140mph... 1:42 140 MPH @ 7,000 RPM's multiple 140 by 7,000 and we get the gear ratio.. easier way to put it hes getting 20 mph per 1,000 RPM in his final drive gear. so what is 8,000 RPM's multiplied by 20 MPH?? 160MPH case closed.

@Dudeman9339 on any stock car the rev limiter will limit the top speed before the gear ratio. as long as the engine wont blow at high rpm's, the gear ratio will not determine a top speed. i guess you need to know mechanics. the only reason cars even have gears is too keep the engine running at a safe speed

i think everyone needs to quit hating and agree that if you had a different tranny your car would be able to go above 160 because it already has the power to redline 5th... what tranny could help you honestly idk but if your car can redline 5th your setup is doin somethin right

@vtecgogos you might be right but no way to tell.. i think that most likely your at 160. cuz yes ajdrsx was right about 155 top but you run out to 8k you might get 5 more mph. anyways dude. car sounds sick. i use crower 280/280 in my gsx. my buddies got a lude and i like em alot. i might trade the gsx for one.

@vtecgogos i have a 92 acc cpe with a H22A that puts down 194, i sent the block to the machine shop to get it assembled, i have S2 cower cams, super tech over sized valves,retainers and springs. i have eagle rods, 11.6-1 mahle pistons, i hopin to put down 230, i rip mostly everything now in its class,rsx-s, wrx's, g35's, 350 a/t, some mustangs,all tiburons, cant wait to see what it will run like

@vtecgogos no... RPMs are not what limits your top speed. your gearing ratio does. your an idiot and know nothing about RACING. go run around a track for a week or 2 then start talking shit.

@Dudeman9339 on any stock car the rev limiter will limit the top speed before the gear ratio. as long as the engine wont blow at high rpm's, the gear ratio will not determine a top speed. i guess you need to know mechanics. the only reason cars even have gears is too keep the engine running at a safe speed

@Dudeman9339 dude, it all depends on how fast your motor can spin to keep that tranny spinning, if your motor goes to 10,000rpm, your tranny is too buddy.

Nice can't believe it was still pulling after 140+ mph plrelide fanatic here man I have a 92 prelude 22ha1 still stock but obx full fatback system and arm intake system dropped on 17 in 5 sigen RS5 rims black on black oooohh how I love preludes!!! Can't belieive these people are blind and still thinks it 140 mph it was 140 +++ mph

I set the rev limiter to be fuel and ignition cut-off so thats the effect it has and my rpms kept going up after the needle stopped at 140mph meaning... that the car is still moving faster.... man i feel like im talking to a bunch of idiots wasting my time explaining it...
