@Dogheadj I said something very similar in a YouTube Please, Please me video comparing the essence of Paul's bass in The Beatles to Jack Bruce's in Cream. Paul is a GREAT bass player, and, other than for one or two songs of his, I am not a fan. The man can lay down a track, however.

@hupajupa OK, I've listened to Les. There's no doubt, he's a great bass player. However, I still believe Paul to be the best and most inventive overall (all styles) bass player I've seen in my life (extending bck to 1954, I'm afraid to say).
