This episode went a completely different direction than I thought. Usually, when a cartoon uses the concept of a stupid guy becoming smart, he becomes dull and smug, and everyone hates him for that. With this, however, Gonard doesn't want to be smart but has to accept that he's becoming a man. This has a very good moral about responsibility, unlike in that episode of Spongebob. Patrick chose to give up his brains for his friends. What kind of moral is that?! Popularity trumps knowledge?!
What don't you get? This episode was different from what I usually see in other cartoons, which was refreshing to see. Did you ever see that episode of Spongebob I mentioned?
