  • Shwoops.. I don't think they're going to win

  • YOUR A SMART MAN !

  • ireland wont win.. the winner will come from the southern hemisphere.. most likely the All Blacks, but Australia will be next favourite. It will be NZ-AUS final

  • it's the year of the MANU SAMOA!! cheeeehoooooo...

  • SAMOA MO SAMOA! yur predictions are tru! haha ! cant wait for RWC

  • not really..they beat the auzzi secondary team..TONGA will win after they beat all blacks..then the road will be open..GO IKALE TAHI...

  • This is a old video, you should see the last Pacific Nation Cup when Fiji and Tonga the Manu Samoa really bad..

  • @DBOATYZ yeah that was samoa's 2nd side all of the players were in super or the avia prem. Samoa first team was the one they put up against australia only a thew players were mising from that side henry tuilagi.

  • Samoa need the Tuilagi brothers to lead from the front. They are the reason Samoa is going as good as they are

  • it's a fair analysis mate, Samoa have always produced great athletic backs, but it's to note that the forwards is what has changed over the years. they have become more committed to the break downs, now we have size, power, strength, and speed to match any forward pack out there. Most important we must have the will to win against all odds, if we're down in a game, do we the heart and fortitude to bounce back?....I believe so...I BELIEVE IN SAMOA . " IA TOA LE LOTO"

  • CHOOOOHOOOO>>>>>> I LOVE RUGBY>>>>>I LOVE MANU SAMOA EVEN MORE !!!!!!!!!! Go Manu Go....thanks for the statement......BLess UP

  • yes but they'll have to manage Bokkes and Welsh ... fierce battes incoming !

  • After their win over the Wallabies this prediction doesn't sound as shocking as when he recorded this. Can't wait!

  • i agreed totally..samoa now has the potential..they have a great chance to win it jst liked the big teams..they have the skills, pride and heart..good luck Samoa..cant wait for the world cup..

  • SAMOA JUST BEAT THE WALLABIES ! BOOOOYAAAAH

  • don't forget the tuilangi brothers are playinq in the samoa teaM :D

  • you're an idiot - While some of your points are valid (just about) your first statement that they might win it is ridiculous!

  • Samoa has always lacked in the technical aspects of scrummaging, line out, defence and the old age problem of aerobic fitness. But since the exposure of consistent rugby 7 games to only Samoan based players and exposure to more top level competitions worldwide, we are becoming a more disciplined & educated outfit still with the pacific flair for the spectacular. Good luck to all the Island nations in the WRC 11

  • I'm going for all the pacific nations for the world cup and argentina... can't wait...

  • mate... "samoa could win the world cup" is the biggest joke i have heard. you are analyzing based on fiji's local players who played against samoa's full strength team... and yet fiji and samoa finished on equal points in the pacific nations cup.. samoa edging fiji because of points difference... u havent got a world cup preview on fiji, just goes to show you lack knowledge about fijian players who are playing in france and england... good try but i don't agree with your prediction

  • @TKHARI Fiji didn't play Samoa's full strength. Tuilagi, Mapusua, Fotuali'i, etc, didn't play. Anyway, both Fiji and Samoa are tough as a nail on a good day, and I hope they both make it out of the pool stages, including Tonga.

  • your definantly spot on there mate, its always going to be the defense thats going to cause samoa problems, they are their own worst enemies but like you said if they can tighten up there "D" they will surely be a contender in the world cup.

  • I think one MAJOR obstacle block for Pacific rugby nations such as Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, is the IRB laws. The NZRFU have a landmark law that doesn't permit Players of PI descent to play for their home countries. This is the PROBLEM!There was/and still is a threat to N.Z/Australian rugby as they are afraid that Pacific nations would get stronger and or even better than the ABs. If the IRB was on the Pacific nations side I don't think the ABs would have a chance.POLITICS n POWER!

  • @opopo6 they do allow Pacific players to play for the countries, but they can only allow a certain amount of overseas players in each Super Rugby team. Fa'atau, Nili Latu, Fotuali'i, Bobo, Lima, Perenise. All play/ed for their PI country and Super Rugby. Each country has the goal to develop players to reach the highest level however NZ realised that it hard when all their Super Rugby teams in the late 90's and early 2000's had Pacific based wingers. What our PI countries real issue is, is money.

  • @opopo6 if the Pacific Island rugby unions could somehow work together or something and get a Pacific based team or two into the Super Rugby competition, it would be awesome. Probably not likely but it would be a nice stepping stone. Pacific players are everywhere in rugby, just seems unfair that there is no big club competition in the Pacific for them to play in

  • Manu Samoa will win RWC big time if we place Pili The Kid on jersey #1 and Etuale for jersey #16 and no one will ever manage to stop the force of jersey#8 and a half,Ma'anono

  • I think your right about them working on there defense..every world cup samoa have been in brian lima has played a big part with defense,he was always after the guy with the ball and made crucial saves in every game and now that he's gone who's going to fill his role?...Samoa need to take advantage of this RWC cause it's in NZ the closest thing to a samoan world cup where they will have strong support....C'mon Samoa improve on Defense,Scrum and Possession and i'm sure we do better then past WC's

  • Dis guy is right SAMOA will Win

  • Yeah they're only real threats in pool play are gonna be the bokkes and wales. The pack will be set against wales being as they have a lot of new lads and a pretty much all new tight 5 but the welsh backline will pick them apart if they leave too many holes or easy chances. I love Samoa though I have the new alternate and am quite pumped to see them play!

  • @SouthernTunes 3when i wrote that comment they were playng decent. now they are not :P

  • Where are the rest if the vids for the other teams?.

  • Have you done the Ireland video yet?

to be honest no team has stood out as "Favorites" this year the South Africans and Aussies have had their day and are beggining to lag behind. So Samoa, Fiji etc.. could be in with a chance.

my choices are NZ, England or the Irish. However the Irish probably wont win knowing their luck and end up losing by 2 points once again lol!

  • @cafc543

Nah mate, not made the Ireland vid yet, ill try to soon if u want :)

  • that tongan dude stuck dat one samoan dude b4 dey tri

  • rvdrocks, I have been thinking along these very same lines, particularly the point you made about them hitting the rucks. they are big BIG boys and after watching the PNC it was definetely some of the hardest hits ive seen for some time.

and i definetely think they have a chance. anyone remember fiji v south africa 2007? or even samoa v wales 2009?

like any pacific islander team, once they get a sniff of a victory, their confidence becomes their main strike weapon and they can beat anyone

  • my 30 man SAMOAN Squad for the 2011 world cup Forwards 1 Sakari Taulafo (James Afoa) 2 Mahonri Schwalger (Tii Paulo) 3 Anthony Perenise (Cencus Johnston) 4 Felipo levi (Kane Thompson) 5 Dan Leo (Pelu Pevihi) 6 Jonathon Fa'amatuinau (Alafoti Faosiliva) 7 George Stowers (Manaia Salave'a) 8 Joe Tekori (Henry Tuilagi)
  • Backs

    9 Junior Poluleuligaga (Uale Mai)

10 Fuimonu Elliota Sapolu (lolo Lui or Fa'atonu Fili)

    11 Sailosi Tagicakibau (David lemi)

    12 Jamie Helleur (Anitelia Tuilagi)

    13 Seilala Mapasua (George Pisi)

    14 Alesena Tuilagi (Mikaele Pesemino)

    15 Paul Williams (Gavin Williams)

  • @ws4lyfe Your teams great, but you need Mikaele Pesemino to start. He's young, starting him will form him to be a world class winger in the future, even more than he already is, and Tuilagi hasn't been AS spectacular as would be wished in the G Prem

  • @rvdrocks Yeah I suppoose Im picking Alesena from what ive seen from him in the past as I havent seen much of him of late. Though dont get me wrong Pesimino is an exciting talent and has major upside as he is still young. Once hes up North playing top flyte Competition, Im sure he can one day be one of the premier wingers in world rugby. Yeah keep up the good work. Your video was a great watch and will be interesting to see what you say about the rest of the pacific nations.

  • @ws4lyfe I'm working on a Japan video, then I'll try to move onto the other PI teams :)

  • very interesting comments you made. But to say Samoa has a chance to go all the way and win the world cup is indeed very BOLD. While Id love to agree with you, The Samoans lack the organization when it comes to the set piece to really challenge the elite teams. I agree with your comments about their defence while they are reknown for their big hits, their defensive structure can fall apart in the latter parts of matches which will again coast them dearly against the elite teams.

  • Their Tactical kicking isnt good 2. This combined with a set piece which isnt too great will cost them dearly against the elite teams as they will expose this weakness by playing arial ping pong and targeting getting possesion inside samoan territory by turning over the set piece.

  • However their Strengths are in their world famous bone shattering tackling and intimading size and power. This will have teams reluctant to run head on into the Samoans and cause a few turnovers. While set piece is a weakness as i pointed out, it is on the improve particularly the scrum. I agree with your point about their depth which is looking alot deeper then the last two world cups alot thanks to the success of their sevens team, and developing players through both the Pacific rugby cup and

  • pacific nations cup. Also Having player contracted In the proffesional leagues in the northern hemisphere playing regular top flight rugby is a great way for the player to develope their skills at the highest level. For Samoa to do well in the next world cup theyll need to play to their strengths which is Their hard hitting defence, running the ball, making the most out of their opputunitys in loose play, and to drastically improve on their Set piece, tactical Kicking, and defensive structure.

  • Also keep their discipline in check by not leaking soo many silly penaltys that result in yellow and red cards and to not tackle late and high too often. I think realisticly Samoa can aim for the qtrs with almost certain victory over Namibia and tough crunch games vs old rivals Fiji and Wales. If they can win those three games would set them up likely with the Australians or possibly Ireland in the Quarter Finals which would would be very tough for them to progress any further.

  • @ws4lyfe What I mean is that they could with like, ALOT of luck. It's seriously unlikely, but I believe they have the foundation that wc winners need. I think realistically, they could even make the semis. By the way, I'm making one of these videos for all the teams in the world cup if your interested.

  • @ws4lyfe bro Im samoan I think samoa will never win a world cup because what you just mentioned thanks bro
