Gillies and Wilson fought more than twice there may be only two videos on Youtube but they fought multiple time while Wilson was in Chicago and in the Stanley Cup Finals. So please save your opinion, Wilson could have been a talented defenseman but the Flyers wanted him to be a goon. A shame because the guy had some talent but he wasted it.

Im not an islanders fan because of were i was born, but i really enjoyed watching them play. Such a complete team with all the right ingredients to rule over the entire NHL for 4 seasons straight. I remember seeing this game through the more objective "Islander feed". In the typical Flyer cowardly fashion, Behn Wilson decided to maul, punish, and destroy Mike Bossy, an act that was dispicable. If that had been Gretzky instead of Bossy, Behn Wa would have been banished from the league. Intimidation is one thing, but the Flyers of those days practiced unadulterated cowardly thuggery.
Fortunately, the Islanders had a pair and would stand toe to toe with these pieces of shit over the years.

As a Ranger fan, I always respected the Isles. We were jealous of them, sorry to say. As for the Flyers, I hated them now, and I hated them then. It was always good to the Isles pound the Flyers. Of course, the Rangers DESTROYED Philly in the playoffs this season, then defeated the Isles, before they got drunk up in Montreal and lost the series.
