Sure she was fired at HP,after their stocks fell costing the company millions, the acquisition with Compaq was unsuccessful. As she failed she got a very nice golden parachute to the tune of $21 million. Hopefully with the more bail outs they do they don't allow these folks getting fired to walk away with huge amounts of money while the tax payers suffer for their poor management.BTW- McCain claimed this morning in an interview that he did not know about her $21 million parachute-yea right!

Why are they trying to spin this? He just wants to cut the tax rate across the board. It's called being fair. He's not trying to give your income taxes away to big oil. Liberal spin, that's all it is. What he should say is that by cutting the tax rate big oil saves the money. The same way you would save money with lower income taxes. Failed at HP? She cut fat. She cut deadwood. She merged with Compaq with the goal of having HP be the number on PC maker in the world. Where is HP now as a PC maker? Yeah...number one. McCain adviser Carley Fiorina did a great job heading off this barage of attacks. In economics it is impossible to define "excess profits." Government has tried before and failed miserably. Another tax on oil companies won't bring down prices or bring us more supply. McCain will lead us in a better direction with more positive changes!
