@The1997ChevyMan 15-20 mins between all coats, clear, color, prime. And wait 30 minutes before moving from primer to the color and if you are applying the clear coat, wait 30 minutes before you start those coats.
so yea...uhh, looks nice and all i like it but when the rims get dirty and wear out, can i just use your basic rim cleaner without messing out the finish?
one more thing, going to be paintin my rims soon and I too dont have them jack stands. going to make some out of 2x4s so ill try and make a vid to respond to this one. hope itll help if you do this kind of thing often.
hey thumbs up on the vid. was wonderin how much you know about the type of paint I would want to buy. would ya think Id be safe as long as the cans have something to do with auto? auto primer, engine enamel, etc... do you know if the clear coat comes in a satin sheen? goin to do my truck rims but dont want em glossy. I really like the clearcoat idea though. most vids on paintin wheels dont mention it and I was worried about chippin and scratches. thanks
@SethBroNasty the link doesnt work but it must be my friends account. I created the video but since it was his car i gave him the video for him to use as well. So i see no harm the rights of the clip belong to me. But his a good friend of mine and i dont see any harm from him showing it off too.
@SethBroNasty okay i got the link to work. Yeah thats my friends account. But for the record I did the recording and the editing. And i gave him permission to use the video. So im the creator of the clip if thats what ur asking. cheers
did not like the results, actually the shinny wheels takes away from the black rim effect which is suppose to be a racy rugged look. Video was very rushed, not enough detail on products used.
@MrDCJSr The shiny coating is not for everyone. But i like it, Ive tried the matte look and when the wheels get dirty they look horrible. Also The products used are in the description below.
use jack stands for front and jack for the rear. problem solves
