u r right nancy optical zoom is way better than the digital...wish i'm an electronic gadget lover, i am in a way but once i have one it stays with me 4ever=] like my olympus film camera circa 90's...would not buy a new one only if i can use it here with the comp./ internet,..so 4 mos. ago i bought my very first digital camera it's a sony t-33 and another sony hd but this hd one is not comptible w/ windows movie maker,so have to get the older model t-33,exactly like my husband's=]♥
