I had the whole soundtrack on tape back in the 80s but it was played so many times and became damaged. Does anyone know where I could get the soundtrack on DVD or the like other than a torrent?

The book was fantastic! But the movie hit pretty damn close to being as amazing and enjoyable. I didn't realize it was a series though... I'll make sure to check up on that! ^_^

yeah they had the book first, then made a movie and then an animated cartoon series with a few of the orginal voice actors in it

The series had the major plot with the efrafa plot and some others from the book, but then it also had some of it's own stories in there as welll, it was a mixture. Whatever the movie didnt capture from the book the series tried to do it
