i think with the other contestants, they are all very good, they could make names for themselves in what they sing but i think that jacob is EPIC....like the late greats...and will make an even BIGGER name for himself. he's one that no one will ever forget. other winners from past American idols have become hits and made it big, but i think jacob will have a lasting effect on music. like stevie, billy holiday, chuck berry, etc. (oh yes, luther, too).

Nevertheless, when it comes to Jacob and Lambert, this is how a male pop singer sounds when he hits such high notes. Not your cup of tea? Fine, but comparing such high note male pop singers, of which historically there are few, to mid-range male singers whose strong suit is timbre, is apples and oranges.

i think with the other contestants, they are all very good, they could make names for themselves in what they sing but i think that jacob is EPIC....like the late greats...and will make an even BIGGER name for himself. he's one that no one will ever forget. other winners from past American idols have become hits and made it big, but i think jacob will have a lasting effect on music. like stevie, billy holiday, chuck berry, etc. (oh yes, luther, too).

I also stand by my statement that my objection to racism is supported by the many racist statements said previous. The election of black a president does not make this country post-racist. Honestly, my favorite pop singer was Jackie Wilson, whom I never saw in person. He could sing anything from light opera to standards to R and B. Second is a tie between Sam and Nat Cole. Third is Ella. On stage, Ben E. King may have been classy to you, but off stage, many thought him a jerk.

Along with Pia. sabastian, I saw Ben E.King more than once at the old Murray the K shows at the Fox theater, and he was a fine singer until age and alcohol ruined his high end. Nevertheless, when it comes to Jacob and Lambert, this is how a male pop singer sounds when he hits such high notes. Not your cup of tea? Fine, but comparing such high note male pop singers, of which historically there are few, to mid-range male singers whose strong suit is timbre, is apples and oranges.
