  • Polygraphs are bullshit alot of countries dont conduct and won't allow them to be used as evidence why does American law enforcement put so much faith in them.the cops where in on this how could they have missed a body

  • This was in the beginning days of meth..

  • Twang Twang.. Can you say DELIVERANCE?!

  • Did they not have an update for this and find the two girls' dead bodies in a barrel, or something?

  • My theory: the two girls were lesbian lovers. During the night of the sweet 16, they were found in bed by the parents which leads to a heated argument. They freak out, and the girl who hates her parents kills them both. The young lovers burn the house and flee.

  • Its sad that ALOT of cops are corrupt JUST like this....and will never be caught..

  • if the girls ran off they would have taken things with them yet nothing was missing of theirs. No cars were gone from the house.....

  • To this day, no one knows wat happened to the girls...

  • Something really wrong in that place. I mean, why did the sheriff take themselves out of the investigation? Who does that if you aren't somehow invovled? I also can't believe that they thought Ashley did it...and why would Laura go along with it? It's all very odd.

  • like how the cops r tryin to pin it on the two girls surely if they had done it they wud av taken the $200 out of the purse at least, def think it looks suspicious for sheriffs office and i find it odd that the officers supposedly passed the lie detector and thats the end of it but if it just a john doe off the streets passin a lie dector then they some how must have been able to fake the results, what a joke

  • this is very sad to this day no one has found the girls where r they and who did it ? professionals

  • if they don't take that Christmas tree down, their house too will catch fire. That thing must be a nice, dry piece of fuel at this point.

  • @es2642 Clearly its a fake tree. I thought it was pretty obvious, but i guess not to (some) people.

  • Anybody with access to a polygraph (cops) can easily train themselves to trick the polygraph. plus not finding that other body is a dead giveaway. Never trust cops, they are mass murders paid by the gov't, they use the people as scapegoats by making them prime suspects.

  • Oklahoma is a evil place with evil cops. You can feel the evil in this state.

  • oh,I was hoping it was Slender Man being real. either way,the sheriff is the biggest dick i've ever seen.

  • what about the boyfriend??

  • and if those girls had done it,which is a ridiculous idea to begin with, they would have been caught already.they're definitely dead. they were probably just taken to another location and killed later after further traumatization.

  • the fact that the relatives would even be able to go back and find a body that quickly AND not only be able to identifity it but could see the cause of death shows more than regular "bad police work".

  • The cops were let off only because they beat the POLYGRAPH??? GIMME A FKN BREAK! They're COPS, they know how to beat a polygraph! WTF???

  • b1naryd1g1t5, nothing they could have done justified what happened to that family, and especially not the innocent other girl. I believe the officers harassed them, and I know they know more than they're saying. The boy was a teenager and stole a car, probably on a dare. Big deal, that didn't justify cops killing him. The Freedman girl didn't get along with her father, big deal. Most teenagers don't get along with their parents. The dad dealing was nothing more than a rumor.

  • wow that is so weird. they could of been sold into those sex trade things, who knows. maybe they were secret lesbian lovers and they killed the parents coz they wanted them apart and fled. but still...why leave your purse with the money in it.

seems more likely they were taken. how come no neighbours noticed anything?

  • Thats sad especially for the Freedmon family they are all dead :(

  • Did they find those two girls????????

  • responding to a post below, people have passed polygraphs that were guilty before (example: Gary Ridgway, the Green River Killer), so polygraph tests are not necessarily a true determination of someone's innocence or guilt

I think the Craig County deputees (maybe including Cpt. Jim Herman, who is interviewed in this) took the girls from the trailer and probably raped (<that's what always seems to happen to abducted girls who are murdered) and then murdered them

  • @marehtseira on second thought, the drug dealer guys murdering all of them is equally possible

  • One strange case. I think it was drug related. It appears the whole Freeman family was rather rowdy (sun stealing cars and guns and then getting killed by cops -- dad was drug dealing, etc.) I think the fact that the Sheriff dept. voluntarily turned the case over to state police and the fact all of them passed polys should be enough to rule them out. The fact they didn't find the dad's body the first time is weird though.

  • i know this is an old show but have they ever found out what happened to the girls?????

  • Wow corrupt sheriff's department. This is why people hate cops :/

  • The brother says look at the sherrif dpt. Polygraphs are insubmisiable as evidence there are ways to pass polygraphs.

  • Apparently this jeremy jones character they arrested for the murder might not have killed them, he told them to look in a mine shaft and they didnt find any bodies, then he said he never confessed. But the Bible girl's mother said she still thinks he did it, and that he was at the trailer and was fucked up.

  • @MeesterCrumpet jeremy jones has confessed for hundreds of murders he probably never did.

  • Can't believe that they blame the daughter! How pathetic!!!

  • I wonder how likely it is, that its not one group thats at fault. They said the girl and her parents didn't get along very well. The previous person mentioned the son being killed by the sheriffs departments. Not exactly how to explain or word this but, ... nevermind I'll think of it later.

  • According to Trutv, Jeremy Bryan Jones murdered the parents. Ashley and Laura ran into his truck and he drove them to Kansas where he killed them, throwing their bodies down a mine shaft. Jeremy Jones was one of the unidentified men in that drug deal gone wrong.

  • @TheVoorwaarden Do you mind pointing me to the article please?

  • @TheVoorwaarden

whaaat? was that on a cold case files episode or something?

  • Comment removed

  • the guy in the truck was an informant for the police, and the dude recognized him as being one. Yep I would have to say that the shady police department had something to do with this. As far as them passing lie detectors, they put their informants up to it.

  • Why isn't the theory of a sexual predator killing the parents with the explicit intention of kidnapping the girls being more carefully considered? Or maybe it was, but not mentioned here?

  • @aristotrash A frequent scenario, similar to whats in my novels, could be that there wa a sexual predator that killed the parents, kidnapped the girls, and the police department, reluctant to declare something a mass murder, burned the house down themselves. The sherifs department then shot he son to death after he stole a car was it? When you look closely at the sons face, doesn't he seem a little off to anyone?

  • @Aluenvey

A word of advice, quit reading cheap mystery novels and look at how real predators are profiled

  • @MeesterCrumpet News flash, I already red true crime. There you go assuming something about someone you don't even know.

  • @aristotrash I'm just going to guess (Though I could be wrong) is that the son murdered the rest of the family, kidnapped the girls, murdered them and threw them somehow, and then finally tried to steal a different care, were he is finally shot my police.

  • @Aluenvey The son was dead BEFORE all this happened

  • @Aluenvey The son was DEAD BEFORE all this happened

  • I suspect the cops did it. A person can train themselves to fool a polygraph.

Not finding the second body is a huge red flag, and if the girls had taken off you'd think that Laura would have taken her purse with the ID and $200 in it. If they didn't do it then it's clear that the cops didn't really give a shit based on who's place it was.

  • @ryan489 Yep bout the lie detector...thats normal. The police obviously did it but like normal they cover up for each other.

  • I think the crooked cops did it the facts are there

  • what happened to Robert Stack's voice in this piece. Sounds like he's dying of thirst.

  • @t1a1j he was older, and his health wasnt the best

  • wow. what a dad.. he says he'll take both of the girls and raise them. thats amazing

  • a**holes.

  • pigs

  • The son was killed by sheriff's deputies. The parents threatened lawsuit. The father says look at the sheriff's dept. The family is murdered. I would say look to the craig county sheriff's dept.

  • Exactly.
