  • Keep watching guys, cool.

  • reply to maselar thats easy for you to say

  • i am a common person :)

  • i love this song!! but i saw Jarvis like a month ago and he looks pretty old!! what a shame, he was awesomely handsome!!

  • still one of my favorite albums after all these years! this radio edit does not justice to the song. it sacrifices the best part of the song, "you will never understand what it means to live your life with no meaning or control and with nowhere else to go. you are amazed that they exist and they burn so bright while you can only wonder why."

  • Jarvis Cocker makes me happy. He must be the most amazing dancer I've ever seen!

  • Why, J, Love Girl In Blu Vhite.....Hahaha

    Violin good he tooo....,,,

  • 日本語ですいません。

    このボーカルのナルシスト具合が大好きです!

  • THE WEED IN TWEED!!!

  • he is a premium dancer!

  • Haha Jarvis= da fuckin' man!

  • This has to be one of the smartest and most damning social protest songs ever written. A two fingered salute to all the mummy and daddy 'darlings' who suddenly thought it was cool to slum it, without having to ever live the reality of being working class.

  • I acn`t decide if this is AMAZING or Underwhelming. It`s confusing...

  • shot thru the heart & you're too much ..JARVIS !

c'mon & do it all over again

i believe in time lords ..just like you!

  • only some parts sound like love drunk.

  • Looks like a new song called 'Love Drunk' by Boys Like Girls is using this tune.

  • oh my god. jarvis cocker, i wish i was a teenager in the nineties instead of now so i couldve lived during the awesome britpop years.

  • just count yourself lucky your still a teenager!!! but yea, those were the days!

  • do the math noob

  • I feel sorry for you - your generation sucks!

  • so do I...so much! britpop is so much better than all this crap american music today.

  • take sme back to when I was 12, fuck I love this band.

  • takes me back....cant believe it's been 15 years!

  • What dance moves! love this song so much!

  • One of the most clever lyrics ever. Believe it or not, I actually dig William Shatner's version with Joe Jackson and Ben Folds better than the original. The lyric really lends itself to spoken word.

  • Kids. Just hush your prissy mouths: listen and watch. This is not your average music video channel, now obey.

  • she sounds like a man @_@ Dancing is great though Love Shatner's cover.

  • Was this song out before fake plastic trees - radiohead. the shopping cart lol

  • and the full version??

  • Holy crap Jarvis Cocker is mad skinny.

  • I wish I had long, spindly legs like Jarvis.

  • Shatner? Are you kidding me?!?!!?

  • cool.i like the william shatner version better though

  • I couldnt agree more.

  • Tough call, Shatner did a great job, but he can make shit smelllike perfume, so comparing pulp to Shatner is like trying compare an average Joe to God.

  • This has a nice retro sound to it.

  • Retro sound? That's the one of the originals that has been copied ad nauseum...

  • It just sounds like something that could be played in an 80's pop movie.

  • 3:22.

    Love Jarvis' little safety dance!

  • I love William Shatners cover the most :D :D

  • Yeah, that cover is good,

  • sadie frost ....id fuck here till the cows come home

  • Too bad the full version of the song wasn't used for the video. The last verse is my favorite one in the song.

  • fuckin love pulp !!!! happy days :) bring back the 90s !!!!!!

  • Yeah man, the 90s were f*&king sick, i want them back too!!! Great time!!! Great music, great everything!!

  • yeah. blur, oasis, pulp, the verve and radiohead. what a decade. iwas born in that decade too so it gets even better.

  • theyre totally commin back next year just watch

  • I just like the way Jarvis dances; it's like the fingerprint of his sheer modernity

  • 90's bands are the best!

    top song

  • If anyone knows who the girl in the purple skirt and blue top is then drop me a message now. I dont care if this was in the 90s I bet shes still stunning lol

  • The bird in the purple skirt is smoking hot...

  • a great song, britains bands in the 90,,s where fantastic...

  • this song is brilliant! and the vid too

  • It took awhile to remember this song but now I've found it I'm making it one of my favourites, this is a great song and text

  • The song is great and the video is awesome! Another fine piece of art is bestowed upon us.

  • Probably my favourite song for 1995: I remember first seeing it when flying to New York City on Virgin Atlantic. Still really like the video.

  • :) :)

  • This song (and in the album version even more so, where they add another verse) actually makes fun of elitist people who think that "Being poor is cool." In the current times it could well be about Paris Hilton. People who will NEVER know what it's like to have to work to make ends meet, let alone what "making ends meet" means. "Laugh along with the common people, eventhough they're laughing at you. And the stupid things you do because you think that poor is cool"

  • wow! i was reading this comment and when i got down to the quote he started singing that bit! i was freaked out

  • Well said, Wouter J. I would add that there are so many private college, upper-middle class idiots who fall into the same category as the Paris Hiltons of the world--clueless, naive and childlike. I've had the misfortune of meeting people who don't know how good they have it compared to so many others. I've wanted to pummell these types, but I don't want to go to jail. Nothing wrong with being rich, but at least WORK FOR IT.

  • Finally found it.Brilliant song!!!

  • great song but they should have got a hotter chick to play the greek woman (or one who looked more greek)

  • Nothing creepier than the voice of super-effeminate rock star being lip synced by a chick with a huge gap between her teeth.

    *Shudders*

  • i reckon this is one of the best songs of all time

  • oh my god! this is one of my favourites songs from pulp! I love this band!

  • love

  • <3!

  • direction to perfection!!!!

  • that part with Jarvis on the shopping cart is suppose to make fun of Radiohead' Fake Plastic Trees?

  • this lyrics is amazing!

  • love the song , its great

  • ONLY 50000 views? This song deserves 10 times as much! It is one of the best songs ever! Great music, amazing lyrics, just perfection

  • PAOK-Partizan ortodox brothers for ever!!!!!!

  • Yea... no.

  • william shatner is a fat yank, why do you persist in ruining our songs, we dont have many compared to you but you lot always find a way to make them shit.

  • The world is acyually ruled by a group of gnomes living in the Earth's core. Their leader is a giant space-squid called Jimmy Swithers.

This is like 100% true. Believe me dudeman.

  • i believe

  • no, only half of that is true...their leader is actually a 'caps lock' key from a computer that was owned by harold shipman in 1996. before that the leader was a drop of super-intelligent water

  • fuck , i'm afriad of china, there are so many chinese people that i think they could invade a whole continent in a war, i hope they remain peaceful

  • Usa deserve a Grammy for the most stupid comments!:))

  • ENGERLAND ENGERLAND ENGERLAND

    :P

  • jajajajajaja yeah!!!!!!!! jajajajaja

  • Of course it does Adolf

  • no, USA USED to rule the world... now they're in a crisis and goin down :P like it or not!

  • Cool beginning. Who is that girl in blue top looping hot?!?!! Seriously she is H.O.T.!!!

  • If you find out can you let me know who she is - absolutely stunning

  • this video is, and im not exagerating, nearly perfect...every detail is nice and clean, color, textures, common people, i can see it over and over, and its just a master piece of pop art.

  • couldn't have said it better myself. god, i miss these days, Summer of 95

  • ROBER TE AMOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

  • I FUDGIN LOVE THIS SONG!!! rather apt for me, this is gonna sound rather gay but wen it came out a lot of my friends commented on it reflectin my life, im from a reasonably well off family and never flashed it about, all my friends are jus normal and they treat me the same, i had a supermarket job an did nothin over the top and still dont like to,
