Need for Speed III tracks were a hell of a lot better than the other ones, like some of NFS II's tracks were just ovals and shit.

And the music is great. NFS III is my all-time favorite.

This happened with most games in the 90's... most of them has great music... now you play a NFS game with crappy rap and hip-hop shit... can't stand it. I remember a VHS that came with some Donkey Kong Country editions that has a great song for the intro, Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, NFS II, NFS III, X-Men Mutant Apocalypse, Donkey Kong Country, Goldeneye 007, Super Mario 64, Duke Nukem 3D, Mario Kart 64, 1080º Snowboarding... All those games has awesome music! Why can't things be the same way today?
