  • they're sooo adorable and are amazing singers, we are doing this song for my all girls choir and these boys can hit the notes that some of us cant hit, it's just amazing! good job guys!

  • these boys can sing higher than me...

  • I found it very funny when I was looking through the comments and saw that someone asked why the boys' lips we so open and forward in European choirs. That is called singing. You have to open your mouth to do that. I personally do not see that style of singing as much where I am located in the USA, but that doesn't mean it's just European choirs that do that.

  • lolol? well i spent my childhood time singing excerpts like this in a very good musical school, and let me tell you - there is no possibibilty of distinguishing the voice of the girls (much more of us btw) and the boys at this age.

  • They are so wonderful!! Yes, they have made some mistakes, but honestly, how old are they? 10? 11? younger? They have done wonderfully for their age. bravo.

  • these kids have done great for their age.. adults struggle to get this piece straight..(although this is the most simple vivaldi). so why not appreciate these children. and boy kids can sing this, why not? if in vivaldis t ime if boy kids could be castrated to keep this high tone as in women, why not these kids sing?... learn to apreciate talents. these kids sound so good. bravo bravo.. keep singing boys

  • These are such cute and brave boys. I couldn't get any of my kids to do that so young. I'm so proud of them

    ~a

  • the only comment that I have is that this song is something girls should sing not little boys. that seems very odd to me and I was very uncomfortable watching it.

  • @Sefardess if singing Tolzers make you "very uncomfortable" may I suggest you never go outside and avoid most activities related to an active life.

  • su boca esta exagerada ...parecen peces y los peces no cantan.....

  • We would all sing so much better if we would hold our mouths in those positions, tall, open wide, and upper teeth exposed. Unfortunately, most of us are more concerned about how we look than about how we sound. It is wonderful that these boys are following the directions of their director and teacher.

  • They are just cute and nervous.

  • Awwwwww! So cute. I really hate it when people use the word retarded. It is discriminatory and offensive. Can't we all just be nice?

  • Aww I enjoyed this :)

  • Bloody awful!!!

  • Oops! Second boy missed a phrase! And they're both a little sharp at times, but other than that, very good!

  • wackojacko357.. YOU are calling THEM retarded.. you can't even construct a grammatical sentence... and you've made a spelling mistake. Let's just say you're too DUMB to appreciate what they are doing. Uneducated twit.

  • @ekofisk24j

    1. it wasnt a response to him (he will never know about your comment)

    2. a singers face always looks retarded. its just natural (he just was alittle bit captain everybodyknowsitbutipostitanyways)

  • HAHAH there face looks fucking retarted

  • Comment removed

  • dont forget!! Haydn and Schubert started like them! they were in a 'Knabenchor'!!

  • excelente coro toelzer

  • I don't know a musician who never made a mistake in a concert.

Sometimes mistakes are so evident and sometimes tehy are not.

The most amazing is "to have guts" as that boy had. He stood firm there until he could get an entrance again.

  • is it a young Jörg Lehne you can see in the left corner around 0:27 ?

  • Yes, i believe it's him

  • Comment removed

  • @Zerlina12

    It does look like him!

  • Obviously too difficult for these two boys. The music seems to stand still instead of flow like it usually does.

  • Pauvre tâche!

  • This is too cuteee!! ^,^

  • is there a y tube of this performance that does not abruptly cut off??

  • As far as I know, this was a parents concert..They were still learning the pieces...It was just a practice..They need to start early too achieve perfection when they are 12-15...

  • These 2 boys look very young. The piece seems to be too difficult for them. I don't see any sense to let children sing such difficult literature. They look (and sound) really stressed

  • They are young and were just practicing and performing for their parents...Sure, they were nervous It must be terrifying to start on the wrong note ...But they both kept singing and Paul came back and this a achievement even professional singers often can't do...The boy soprano voice has only a few years to develop, therefore they need to practice early...Fully developed they sound more then beautiful...

  • i can assure you that this is called concentration and not stress. the piece might be difficult but they weren't forced to sing in that choir so it's np

  • i'm so sorry for the kid who forgot the word....I must have been busted so bad

  • The boy on the right (what's his name??) remains admirably calm after messing up. ;)

  • Can anyone tell me why the boys in this choir and other European choirs sing with their lips forward like this? It does look strange.

  • some singing teachers believe it helps projecting the voice.

  • Hi question for the boy on the right,

is the boy on the left still in the choir?

I notice him in the group picture on the

    Toelzerknabenchor website.

Thanks Wem for uploading the video.

  • hi, I m the right one. I am not with the choir anymore. and yes, of course I was nervous and now I got my voice break or whatevewr you call that

  • Hi! And did you meet Robin Scholtz and alexander lichske?

Do you have videos of Tolzer's, to upload... Because people isn't uploading Tolzer's videos anymore...

  • hello,

I had written for my cousin, who is the right one in the video but does not have an account here. I have no idea wether he got any video material. I also cannot answer the other questions. Sorry.

  • Thank you! xD

  • This is a training exercise. Of course they look slightly terrified and bits and pieces will be less than perfect. So what! They're 'right up to snuff' for where they are in in their development cycle and in a couple of years they will be, as our American cousins say, "kicking ass"!

  • yoooo so proo ! :)

  • They seem terrified!

    But quite good, considering...

  • they are good and have lovely voices but force their sound and sing extremely out of tune

  • Epic Voice Lessons were used in the making of this film. =]

  • They are NOT retarded, for your information.

I heard this video was recorded in May 2005, and both the two soloists were really young there. they were just practising their singing skills in public, and even the greatest singers can make mistakes. Don't be too hard on them.

  • Singen diese "Jungs" (Buben) auch heute noch

    bei den Tölzern ?

  • If you read all the comments,5 pages'

    maybe you find the answer.

  • WHOA THEY ARE SO GOOD!!!

    wHOA

    good jobbbb

    how old r they?

  • que de fausses notes... :-S

  • wow! they started off rocky, but they are SOOOOOOOOO good! And so young to be doing something this advanced!!!

  • Thats sad

  • I miss Leonhard.

  • Yeh. wht happend to him? Vociebreak?

  • He left the choir before his voice breaks.

  • Why?

  • As far as I know, personal or familial choice.

  • Damnnnn Were singing this in my FRESHMAN chorus class and there better than me and im pretty damn good

  • woah i sang this song in choir and just the 2 of them were louder than my whole choir..lol..

  • They are not just good,

they are excellent, the very BEST!

    Thanks for sharing!

  • You'r right! They really are the best !

    Hans NL

  • Ach so, they are choir 2! Ich kannte den Namen dieser Buben nicht, ich werde weiter nachforschen. Ich bewundere zutiefst den Tölzer Knabenchor!

  • Oh my gosh, this is absolutly adorable! My girl's choir did this at Contest, but these two are impresssive! How old are these two at this performance? Absolutely wonderful, despite the few mess-ups!

  • How long ago was this, and how old are they now? Are they still in the choir?

  • Perhaps before april 2005.

Leonhard left, I don't know for Paul.

But Jörg is always there (he is the one before the two soloists).

  • LOL ! poor soprano 2 ! he missed a note and let the soprano 1 by himself ^^ good job thaugh :)

  • im in chorus at my school we sung this song its a very hard song to sing and they did really good to be so young

  • They are doing an excellent job! This is not easy! Lots of blood sweat and tears behind such a performance!

  • yea we have to sing this at our concert but its a whole chorus class but um ur good funny but good!

  • lol cute!! im singing the same song in choir x] but we're all girls

  • Oh My God. AWESOME! Ahahhaha! Im singing this in my choire and this is just too funny for me. XD

  • Yes, you have right Maestrovoci. This boys are good. And the song is not easy to sing.

  • It's really not fair to compare this parents' recital with the fully professional performance by the Polish Nightingales, since these two are obviously singing it in public for the first time. You have to admire Paul's courage in coming back strongly after blowing a couple of entrances in a row! I think I would have fled the scene myself! LOL!

  • Am I correct in thinking this is one of the beginner choirs instead of the touring choirs?

  • Although these boys are now in the top performing group, at the time this was videotaped, they were in the second (preparatory) choir.

  • I was thinking they were in the Repertory choir, which would have made them 8! But if they were in one of the younger choirs, they would have been 6 or 7! Regardless, they are very precocious, musically. But then, aren't all the Toelzerknaben?!

  • How can I have another opinion as the one of Maestro ? ;-)

I think it's no so easy to know how old is a boy knowing in which choir he is.

I believe that is choir 2 and the director is Ralf Ludewig.

  • Not every tone right, but they are good
