You know, people really need to stop sucking this franchises cock. We all now it's good and all, but using frases such as: "MOST EPIC PART OF MUSIC HISTORY!" is just being naive. Yeah it's good, some of the dialouge's kind of off, though. And it gets kind of dodgy when they try to push every aspect of the story in our faces at the same time as hearing Old Snake talking about nanomachines and foxdie. Overall good, but not quite brilliant. But Jesus, people, shut up!

I mean, a few years ago, Grand Theft Auto IV got game of the year over that. GTA may be a fun series to some, but no one can honestly say It has even a fraction of the spirit that MGS has. Call of Duty is another offender. So why moan that we try to give this game some well deserved praise?

It's like the academy, to a certain extend. Just because a fantasy or sci-fi movie is good, or great doesn't mean it's going to win the oscars. The oscars do not care for those games. The cutscenes could be shorter, the dialogue a little better, and a little more game play. That's right, gameplay. Hideo Kojima practically invented the term , video game director. I honestly think that the franchise could be better if Hideo was kicked off the team, simply by the virtue of not having so many god damn cutscenes!

Events between MGS2 and MGS4 HAVE to be seen as well as Big Boss's story between Peace Walker and the original Metal Gear. I still think it'd be sensible to re-release the early games with updated graphics. Shadow Moses was perfectly replicated in MGS4, include new versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2, fully voiced and in HD? Pre-orders would sky-rocket!

Gutted the main MGS2 theme wasn't in the game somewhere, even as a hidden extra. But it just goes to show how awesome a composer Harry Gregson-Williams is. He completely re-designed the theme and it's just as great :) All great video games need a great hollywood composer in my opinion.

So there you go. 2 big points:

1) MGS5 has NOT been confirmed as of yet by Hideo Kojima.

2) If it were to be confirmed, he would not be a part of much of the development. It's the same story with MGS Rising. Hideo has said he has merely taken a step back i.e. he has been really hands-off with the game, and merely allowed other members of the team to do most of the work. So really, I don't think he wants to do any more MG. He simply wants to pass the series onto someone else.
