  • I wanted some advice.I'm a martial artist and new at CC.I've setting up my system of defences.I wanted to keep it simple and decided that karambits and that Hideaway Knife will be my best options(knives with tilts). Is there a Karambit that you think is best and are there any double bladed Karambits that you think have some quality.glad your back.glad that you're thinking about a plan "b" now.everyone needs a back up and in all the important areas of life. Preparing makes you a leader. Thanks

  • LOL WTF THE TAGS Cutlerylover has bad headache today sorry honey no sex tonight

    LOL

  • Watch a news video about gun myths by John Stossel. He debunks gun control mercilessly. I was honestly surprised when I saw it too. Pro-gun news is too rare :/

  • wth..... with the tags?

  • just some info, if the people in the car had waited they would have been able to open the doors and been ok, they would only have had to hold their breath for 15 seconds to get out of the car and on the surface, the gunman only got them out sooner.

  • @rogantu "One of the girls had found an air pocket and was breathing fine but was trapped in her seat belt."

-"He said the other two children were lifeless, the boy upside down in his car seat and the second girl floating in the front passenger compartment."

Read the story, these where little kids, and its hard to calmly wait for water pressure to equalize while unconscious or suffering from panic and shock.

  • @Forgoten76 yeah f me I forgot they were kids ;(

I'm not trying to argue here, but Im trying to say the mom could have been able to calm them down or maybe she couldnt because the way she raised them. it is really hard to explain the psycology here without seeming ignorant so I'll stop

yeah they were kids so it was probably really hard and it would not really have worked but all the mom had to do on paper was wait, be as calm as possible and do the right thing which can be hard to do

  • it took only about a few hundred murders for 1 gun to save lives. yeah it's so worth it.

  • Logan Utah. It's called Sardine Canyon. There is about 10 of these accidents on the same bend every year. The man is a hero in my eyes. GUN and KNIFE SAVED 4 lives

  • dude should i get the knew benchmade but f u say no too bad cuz i like ordered it on blade play

  • couldn't just use a rock?

  • guns dont kill ppl....ppl dont kill ppl...BULLETS KILL PPL!!!!

  • @illogicalmethod There's a very distinct difference: They actually have to come within such a range that you can hit them back (except of course for throwing knives and similar, but far easier to dodge those than a bullet), and bruises and cuts won't stop your chances of defending yourself as much a a bullet wound. Also if it's a group you're quite likely probably screwed either way.

  • dude my eyes were getting a little watery while i was reading the story!

  • You ever listen to one of these videos with turtle beaches? Terrible sound quality.

  • yeah that man is awesome

  • Was it Logan, Utah?

    Btw lol at the tags

  • @ibleedhuskerred1394 Way to deal with my comment in a maturely. :), You need to stop blaming everyone for you issues resulting from grandpa touching you when you were a little boy :)

  • Its always a good idea to have a edc carry knife with glass breaking capability at the end of it. If possible, it would always be good to avoid firing a weapon in the presence of children/bystanders!

  • Definately goes to show you that a gun is a tool and not just a weapon.

  • @ZachandCodyCrazyLife Just don't use it as a power drill. One guy killed his wife doing that. lol.

  • Tsk tsk at the dangling modifier title! :)

  • lmao tags.

  • Lol I was waiting to hear a bear was going to eat the kids so the guy pulls out his gun bang saves 3 lives

  • wow they dont even mention a gun in the video

  • That guy did good bye me, I hope someone bought him a drink.

  • Cutlerylover has bad headache today sorry honey no sex tonight

  • check out the tags lol

  • that page wont work, but its on the main page of yahoo... mom shoots and kills intruder.

  • more dramatic "gun saves woman and baby" story. From today...

    gma.yahoo.com/okla-woman-shoots-kills-intruder-911-operators-okay-091106413.html

  • They barely put a story up on aol that says a young woman had men trying to force her way into her home and she called 911 asked if it was ok to shoot them and the operator told her to do what she had to do and the man wind up coming at her with a knife when he got inside and she killed him with a shotgun to protect her and her newborn son.

  • Thanks for reporting this Jeff. I don't think it'd change any anti gun person's mind, but still it's nice it was even mentioned.

  • Ok, how is this pro-gun? Its just news and the newsvideo never mentions the gun? Also: how did the father end up outside of the car and his kids locked inside? Second: somehow people always try to breach the door windows, not realizing that its hard to do that, even with a baseball bat: go for the back window as it usually is not as reinforced as the door or the front window. Also: I have a lifehammer in my car. Smashes any window and cuts seat-belts too. The real hero is the guy that did CPR!

  • @f0xmuld3r Well, first of all, the father freed himself of his seat-belt than tried to free his children.

When the former officer(one that used the gun to break the window) showed up, the father was right there a long with him, trying to free his children still. Despite likely being freezing and suffering from hypothermia..

He's clearly stated in interviews that it would of been 4 funerals, had those people not shown up... He would of died trying to save his kids and he knows that.

  • If you want another pro-gun story look up Sarah McKinley. She shot and killed a knife-wielding man with her shotgun after he and an accomplice kicked her door in, protecting herself and her 3 mo. old baby. Even commie George Stephanopolis couldn't bad mouth her. The stories are out there, there's LOTS of them.

  • a gun is neither good or evil it is a tool used for either good or evil intentions

  • @iamhudzilla The car was under water so it would have been hard to achieve the velocity needed to smash the window with the but of gun. Plus in freezing water seconds count because you cannot hold your breathe as long. The boy had to be revived by CPR so it was a good decision to shoot out the window in a safe direction.

  • recently, a mad man was standing in the middle of an intersection shooting at cars passing by in Hollywood, CA. He was taken out by an off-duty cop working on a nearby movie set. Unfortunately, there was one victim who lost his life but, it could've been so much worse had no one been there.

  • was pretty quick, well done jeff! I am proud of you

  • That is an awesome story! Thanks for sharing, take care.

  • @cutlerylover

You can't say a gun saved someone's life. You can say a responsible gun owner used his weapon to save a life, but the gun didn't walk by and say "I need to rescue these folks!"

Guns don't kill people, people do- and the same goes for lifesaving.

But thanks for bringing this news story to my attention.

  • what makes this story ultimately great is that no one got hurt. It wasn't a story where some violent person was stopped by a gun. It was just a random accident that could happen to anyone where lives could have been lost if not for the smart and safe use of a firearm..

  • Im all for guns... but... couldnt he just have smashed to window with the butt of the gun?!

  • @iamhudzilla Under water it is difficult to swing something with enough force to break a window. There is too much resistance. Shooting a gun under water does have its limitations but that close up the projectile will have enough energy to break the glass. And before you ask how I know, I've been a scuba diver for almost 30 years and have a very good understanding about resistance under water.

  • @iamhudzilla

Well, he had training that gave him the experience and knowledge necessary to effectively and safely use his fire-arm to break the window.

Given how the car was at the time(upside down/under water), he used the most viable option he had.

  • @Duker89 sounds like youve been brainwashed with liberal propaganda and full of fear. You cam defend your family with a butter knife Nancy, and i'll defend mine with my firearms and most importantly my pride and ball sack!

  • YEAH!!!!! I gotta show this to my mom... lol

  • omg guns are dangerous :O

  • @FatGuyWithAKatana So are fat guys with katanas! :D

  • NRA must made this up.

  • the awesome tags are back

  • LOL @ the tags

  • Your god damn claps hurt my ears... just mime the claps next time

  • @Duker89 you see guns are like cookies for small children. Once you take it away, the child will start crying, begging and soon, they will try to take it without permission. I'm only speaking for irresponsible gun owners here. Forgive me if I offend anyone.

  • @Duker89 I agree with your statement to an extent. However, if guns were restricted, even more people will commit crimes with guns because only criminals would be able to use them. And a person who would have been allowed to carry a gun that could have stopped the crime would be defenseless and could possibly be a casualty as well.

  • @Klayperson Words of reason? How about these: I don't feel comfortable living in a country where people want to walk around freely with guns. Guns are made to cause injury or death, that's a simple fact. If guns are properly restricted you won't need a gun for defence either.

  • @Duker89 Illogical...

Firstly, the absence of guns does not prevent others from killing people.

There is an abundance of knives, sticks and well, large groups of people that can and will kill.

The simple fact is, a gun can even the odds against another gun. It can also even the odds against an attacker with a knife, base-ball bat, or a couple friends.

  • I used to read top comments and then watch videos on youtube. I never expected that I would read tags before videos!

  • Sadly, this story probably won't be shown on any mainstream news source over here in the UK, because they're so fixated on this shooting-spree in Durham (to the extent that they aren't even letting spokespeople from the NRA defend the sport).

  • @Duker89

It doesn't matter where you live, you will always be within close proximity to a gun.

I live in Paisley, near Glasgow and on the 21st of December Steven Pollock a 21 year old mans body was found riddled with bullet holes. And for a country like Great Britain who have a NO GUNS policy, that's a pretty poor show!

  • @dmc101096 It's not totally "no guns" Theyre just heavily restricted.

  • So a gun was used as a glass breaking device and luckily got the job done. I think the lesson here is not that guns save lives but that everybody should carry a glass breaking device and preferably a safer one.

  • if you subscribe to the nra on facebook they share all kinds of links like this daily

  • @HunterRyngo A man, with or without weapons, will still be able to hurt a fellow man. It's not enough to confiscate and destroy every weapon in the world because someone will always have that darkness inside and will find a way to hurt. He can use his fists, a rock, a stapler, anything. It annoys me to know that some people have the mindset that "guns kill people, people are influenced by guns". It just doesn't make sense

  • Lol tags...

  • Jeff can you make a tutorial vid so I know how to move my finger down a bit and click the link, I'm stumped here :P

  • One of the helping bystanders also had a knife and cut the seat belt off one of the kids. Great story!

  • Couple days ago I overheard a conversation in a restaurant, where a guy explained his idea to confiscate ALL the weapons from EVERYONE (including military) and destroy them to prevent future wars. No guns, no wars, because people wont have anything to fight with!

I was shocked, and now I'm angry again... How can be someone this idiot!

  • Good to hear. On a side note, when I first saw the title for this vid I thought it said "Man saves man and 3 chickens" lol

  • If you think guns don't save lifes we aren't speaking German rightknow because of guns

  • Also a nice part in the dailymail article, for the european law makers to think about: "Willden cut it [the seatbelt] with a folding pocket knife and pulled her from the rear passenger window."

  • The pro-gun attitude is very honestly frightening to me. One of the biggest reasons I'm glad I'm not living in USA.

  • @Duker89 i hear words of fear but none of reason

  • Comment removed

  • When people say guns save lives it basically means it saves the owners sorry ass, not many lives u can save elsewhere

  • I always say that to ban guns is to limit peoples ability to do the greatest charity: Save Lives.

Imagine if you were banned from performing the Heimlich Maneuver. It's the greatest blessing and highest calling to save a life. Banning firearms is to take a life-saving tool from life-saving people. This story is further proof of that.

  • LOL read tags!

  • He also used his knife to cut the seatbelt! Edc for the win! Probably spyderco or sebenza! :D. Now I'm speculating...

  • If the media keeps up the good work on showing positive stuff about guns, hopefully in the near future, everyday normal citizens will think carrying a gun concealed is perfectlly normal.

  • Definitely a great story! Some of the articles I pulled up started with things like "FORMER POLICE OFFICER SAVES ..." just to make sure everyone reading understood that only current and former law enforcement were ok to carry guns lol. Oh well, it's the media, what can you do. This is the first thing in recent memory with a positive slant; let's hope we see more of it!!!

  • awesome!!! listened to the interview...... way to go

  • show us the lantern !

  • Do you still have that jaguar balisong, if you do i will buy it for 10 bucks

  • It was in logan utah i live like 30 miniutes from there and i herdabout it

  • i live in phoenix

  • @397pollo

    Congratulations?

  • Jeff, please give us a list to some people who you subscribe to and you would recommend. Ive looked at all the people you have on your YT page but I'd like to see more and expand the people I sub to. Also anyone that see's this feel free to reply with any good channels or shoot me a PM.

  • @Dimebag5104 @bdosbalisongtutorials has great vids

  • Jeff your clapping scared the hell out've me!

  • Im sure people would enjoy ur vids alot more if u had an hd camera for vlogging

  • @nromando u just contradicted urself fool. If guns dont kill, people do, then guns don't save, people do. FOOL.

  • He used a gun and a knife. It is very positive and proves that knives and guns are capable of saving people.

  • who said guns don't save lives

  • @SuperExtremeAirsoft Every "my shit don't stink" liberal? Not every liberal, just the Cinnamon Bun Smelling Feces ones.

  • Hey that was me!

  • Good God son get to the point, talking about kerosene stoves and northwest and southwest and your laundry.... I could have got this on a telegraph by the time you spit it out.

  • Also because if your review of the Spyderco Sage I have one on the way. Happy Birthday to you, and mine is on the 9th so Happy Birthday to me. Hope you have a great day.

  • Thats pretty awesome! Ive been longing for positive, public news on firearms. its a shame we dont see it as often as it happens

  • Great to hear. My wife works for the police here in Las Vegas, well last week a pawn shop around the corner from us was robed, well the manager pulls his gun as the robber fires and misses. The manager didn't. And for once a criminal doesn't get away. In my book, well done.

  • Go Glock!

  • woot woot yeah i bet he watches your vids

  • nice tags

  • Forgot to mention that he "cut it(the seat belt) with a folding pocket knife and pulled her from the rear passenger window" WIN!!

  • Great story, but the whole 'only cops and soldiers should have guns' vibe is still in the article because they say 'Willden, a Department of Defense contractor with a background in law enforcement...' and 'He noted that both he and his father are both former military/civilian police officers...'. They're trying to emphasize that he was a cop and not just a nobody with a nobody background (in military/LE) like you or I. Those dumbasses in the MSM wouldn't give up that easily.

  • I got a lantern from walmart. it's not terrible. Just watch out for leaks. If you want to ensure that it doesn't, scratch the paint up with a scotch brite pad around the seam and put a coat of JB weld over the seam, before filling the lantern.

The metal is thin and so is the glass but for 6 bucks it's a pretty good deal. i really like oil lanterns. I want a genuine Deitz too. Would like to see a video on it.

also great to hear about the real topic of the vid too. finally some good news.

  • a responsible gun carriers can save lives and even your own im not 21 but when i turn 21 ill carry a gun and a knife for protection, i lost my cousin from a drunk man wielding a knife and it was the one day he didn't carry his gun and he died if he had his gun or another person had a gun he could still be here today.

  • Great job by that guy! Victorinox Rescue Tool is a part of my EDC in a sheath on my belt: it has a glass breaker, a one-hand-opening locking main blade, a seatbelt cutter and a freaking WINDSHIELD cutter! Hope I never have to use it.

  • 5 people sell glass breakers! XD

  • Made my day.

  • my knife has a glass breaker on it. no need for a gun in a situation like that.

  • logan, utah

  • I can't believe it! literally 30 minutes from my place! Thank you for posting Jeff!

  • jeff, loved the story, its great to hear this kinda stuff happen... but... what the hell is with you and your tags

  • @mrfurball it's quite easy to obtain a RPAL. A carry permit (ATC) though, is pretty much impossible to get.

  • I am quite liberal but guns save lives. Guns do not kill, people do.

  • @nromando

    people save lives too

  • @nromando there is a big difference between a gun and a knife. One is more powerfull and its easier to kill for those who have bad intentions or are irresponsible.

  • @nromando If guns dont kill people, people kill people then gun dont save lives, people saves lives. Same kind of logic.

  • @heuykiller My friend, your logic is invalid.

  • @heuykiller Its a tool, If guns kill people- Pencils misspell words.

  • @heuykiller You're right, guns, like knives, lighters, shovels, and cars, are just tools of people

  • Here in Canada handguns are do restricted that its near impossible to attain a permit that only allows u to shoot it at a shooting range, yet there's gang shootings all the time involving illegal guns. Laws are only for law abiding citizens , and good people don't get involved in criminal activity . Gun laws are only in place to remove the ability of good honest folk to defend themselfs .

  • @mrfurball all the time? canada averages around 300 gun deaths per year lol

  • @kingmigget yeah its a bit more than that but not much more..... but still all of those were with illegal fire arms....

  • Final Destenation 6

  • coulda used a knife too

  • lol @ the tags!!

  • Great. i like to hear pro gun news, but the truth is, most people dont. for some reason, humans enjoy (mostly, in a way) hearing bad news. this may happen every day but the news is gonna report the sad news of some guy shooting two people in a mugging, or something. its good to see some happy gun news.

  • °sheepdog

  • Logan Utah!!

  • i live in NJ but i have a concealed carry in Georgia with the new law being passed i can carry in any state if i wnted to

  • @ward0q1 Only if that law passes. Hasn't yet.

  • Utah!

  • Comment removed

  • Mainstream media is here to make ppl dumb. There trying to take our guns away.

  • ahahahaha nice tags Jeff.

  • he shouldve had one of those res-q-me tools on him...that would have been much safer. It woulod have been a horror story if the round ricocheted and hit one of the kids. Not trying to take away from the story and no im not one of those gun safe nuts that say "dont muzzle the camera" but yeah, was not the safest way to do it. And I am pro gun btw but still makes me cringe. but hey i guess you gota use what you have on ur person when the need arrises. +1 for the good guys i guess!

  • @ParamedicPants Ideally, yes; but most people don't keep one of those hammers in their car, much less carry one of those on their person, unless maybe they're looking to break into other people´s cars to steal.

  • @YoungBrave2006 what im talking about is not a hammer. it is a tool that is probably no longer than 2 inches long x 1 inches around and it has a sping loaded window punch and seat belt cutter on it., jeff did a reveiw on it. and as far as most people not having them your probably right but i think ur average person who carries a gun probably had something else on him to break the glass rather than a pistol round. just sayin...

  • @ParamedicPants ah, yes, the glorified center punch. I used to work construction and even then I didn't use those. Anyways, there's something to be said for the happy outcome, instead of worrying about what might have been; but wasn't.

  • @ParamedicPants I would have used one of those glass breaker thingies too... the gun wouldn't really enter my mind, but if I didn't have one of those and really had to get the people out, then the gun would be a good thing to use.

  • LOOK AT THE TAGS

  • @hitemup0211 oh gawd. roflmao

  • There were more people involved with the rescue, not just one guy with a gun.

I understand that it'd be nicer to hear some positive stories, but this sort of things make it seem kinda desperate for the "good gun-stories". Being prepared for things can be good though, I suppose.

Learning things like CPR saves lives... Thats the sort of stuff everyone should learn.. but why isnt anyone trying to put that message out to the people through vids? :p

  • @Foksuh Ever heard of the Red Cross?? Yeah, that's their job.

  • (then 300 stories of children killing eachother with their parents guns are in the news)

  • Comment removed

  • im surprised to see it get a positive look, i feel like a lot of people would say oh you could harmed the kids

  • That is refreshing Jeff....that's great!

  • Here in Indianapolis we just had a Kroger employee breaking policy (by being armed at work), but not the law, shoot and kill an armed robber. Huge support for the employee that shot and killed the previously convicted armed robber that was out on parole pulling another armed robbery. December 2010 we had a diner owner shoot an armed robber in the shoulder with a NAA .22 magnum revolver. I do love those storied where the good guy survives and lives are saved.

  • @ibleedhuskerred1394 Not a place for a joke mate...Grow up...

  • Sex makes headaches go away...

  • @The1WhiteFox I gotta remember that one. I've never had that excuse used on me yet; but it's good to be prepared for all possible contingencies.

  • unpossible, it's common knowledge that everyone carrying a gun is batshit crazy. Leave heroics and policing up to the government as they know what's best for you silly citizen...lol

This is a great story and I'm glad everyone is safe. He could have grabbed a rock but quick thinking and using the gun was a great idea and I would have probably thought similar. Once you know how a gun works, it's just a tool at that point. Great story.

  • Logans in Texas, i think...

  • thats very cool as u know I can't carry but totally support anyone who can
