What reels do you guys use... i got a bill dance river combo that i use for carp and catfish and 2 penn 309s for sponnbill...my rods are bill dance river combo and the cheap 15$ ones from bass pro...nice vid
I'm not sure what they were using but personally I like using a 12' heavy action surf rod with a big spinning reel filled with 65# Power Pro. Also I tie on a leader of 50# mono so that if I get snagged I don't break off a bunch of expensive braid.
Were you guys fishing the Old Oar House tournament or the Snagmasters? I wanted to fish one of those so bad, but everybody always backed on me that said they would go. I'm going hell or high water this year though. LoZ is new territory for me though because I always snag down on Tablerock's James River.
