@chococrisps6655 actually, there is an episode in which Blair eats all this food, &then goes to the bathroom, &vomits it all up. I'm not exactly sure which season or episode it is, but yes, it's definitely there.

The problem is, the show begins and ends with the glamour of the characters' lives, and the juiciness of their drama. I read almost every one of those books, and I saw the first season of the show, and I know that there are a lot of young girls out there who model themselves after the characters. While the show certainly doesn't promote bulimia, it fashions it through a character girls aspire to be like, and therefore inadvertently advocates it.

They need to focus more on Blair's bulimia in the show. They did a good job with it in the thanksgiving episode in season 1, but not in S2 and I doubt the y are in this current season... which sux

She's got this spaced out confident air to her. Young girls look up to that sort of model, and observe how slim she is. They then want to imitate that. So the disease spreads.

End of day, what is the most attractive is fit looking bodies, not skinny bodies. Skinny bodies are gross and disgusting. The right fat in the right places. Smooth muscle tone.

I mean, if girls want to look attractive, the answer is NOT in "low weight", not by an astronomical long shot.

wow she's really intelligent here and really talks about a tough issue well.

but i actually am disappointed with the gossip girl writers on the bulimia issue. they started out incorporating it into the show, but really just cast it aside. i don't know if it was because it was too graphic or something, but it really should be more of an issue on the show.

anyway, leighton is amazing and blair is my favorite character on the show.

Well really her disorder is played through out the whole of season one and two. If you look closely you can see it. She hardly eats in any episode, always being told to eat etc.

trust me, her bulimia is the least of blair's issues. they put it in many episodes, its just not that upfront. if u read the books blair mostly made herself puke out of habit and to make herself feel better, not necessarily to make herself thinner (i guess they changed that for the show). i hope these actors at least read some of the books, its the best way to get to know the characters (even though the changed alot of their personalities for the show)

Yeah, in the thanksgiving episode, they remixed some scenes from old episodes to show that whenever Blair got upset she would go to the bathroom to throw up.

i think they really did kinda bypass the eating disorder. it was shown for like only one episode and that ea it. you dont just get an eating disorder one day and then ur fine. i think they should continue to show that and he getting help for it

I liked how they addressed her bulimia moreso than in the books. In the book they brushed over it and made it glamorous. Here they ACTUALLY said 'this is bad. Don't do this' and it was good they made her get help. I think it sent out a good message. They also talked about in the 13th episode and I'm sure they'll talk about it more.

I think it's awesome that she wanted to portray this character. I've struggled with an eating disorder before and i'm always looking for ways to advocate against anorexia or bulemia and i think it's great that she uses her acting skills to play such a real part in this show. :)

I love Leighton Meester and the show, but I'm rather disappointed that they have yet to portray Blair's bulimia. I have been hoping that the show will show it eventually, but it hasn't happened yet. Maybe it's been written off? However, I do like the show's little subplots of Blair and Chuck. I for one, believe that Blair will end up with Nate (no matter how long that will take) but I sort of like Blair with Chuck.

i've seen..two scenes so far. the part where blair was staring the reflection of her herself in her mirror where her mom said "you'll never be more thinner than you already are." something like that.

and the second scene i saw was when she was really stressed out and started eating large amounts of food and throwing up.
