  • that's funking awesome

  • @suitcasechild hell has a special place for you

  • disabled people are hilarious...

  • which is this song?

  • @TheGaurdOfTime paranoid android

  • What resembles for the IAEA to look at his disability and that he pote pote do and do not put this question to the lady?

  • awesome ad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • beautiful ad

  • oooh I'm the 75,000th view of this video!

  • If a 'normal' person sang in a public space while listening to headphones, they would get odd looks too. The thinking behind that advert was lazy.

  • @planetrockford :) I think that was the point.

  • @Sarimperil I would have had a 'normal' person and an disabled person both standing on the platform listening to a song being played over the loudspeakers and singing along, the girl could have walked past them both. 'Normal' person is totally out of tune but because he is cute she smiles at him. The disabled person she passes has an excellent singing voice but gets the dirty "weirdo" look because he is disabled. That would have portrayed the predjudices that often occur.

  • @planetrockford You should make one then : )

  • @Arethriel Lol, I wish.

  • I love this ad, well done

  • shut it, chewbacca

  • to bad we're all gonna be extreminated like rats by the new world order

  • WOW!!!! JUST WOW!! :'''')))

  • WE TRY TO SEE THE PERSON! BUT COMMERCIALS LIKE THIS KEEP EXPOSING Disabled people!!!

Everyone has some sort of "disability" GET OVER IT.

Too tall, Too Short, Too Slow, Too Fast, Too Fat, Too Skinny, Too Dumb, Too Smart, too Ugly, too Pretty, etc etc etc.

The world needs to CHILL on the entire RACE and disability issue.

Just be kind, help everyone, and hire people who can perform the job correctly.

    Geezz people.

  • Amazing advert, just the message we need to be getting to out to people.

  • we had this woman from Scope come to our school the other day, and she showed us this ad, the disabled guy, his name is Joel, and he actually got an A in VCE English in Year 12, just another reason not to judge a book buy it's cover

  • No disability means faggot bitch

  • @Verbalbangz what the hell is your problem? disability does NOT mean "faggot bitch" maybe you should look in the mirror and really examen yourself because with your level of disrespect and ignorance, you will amount to nothing in the world. looking forward to seeing you picking up my garbage @jezzz101

  • @Verbalbangz You really don't get it do you. You said sad prejudice person.

  • fuck yeah

  • I'm sorry, I just don't see how all of these commercials help to get JOBS.

  • he should listen to lamb of god XD

  • nah, thats just youre stupidity.

  • @CHODESPAZ You don't really get the point of this advert do you.

  • @kostiss16 paranoid android

  • i dont know why, but that brought a big smile to my face....i feel really good after that lol

  • this is excelent..good job people

  • My God...Never thought there was even a chance to become a better person by T.V. ... amazing...

  • There are so many words to say..

But nothing is equally subversive with this..

    Amazing!

  • best commercial i've ever seen

  • the most beautiful commercial ever! by far!

  • just perfect....for me, there is only two perfect things in the world, my daughter and this video...

  • Great Message

  • lmfao

  • Have a look at our video on StrikeAcord. We are working with Aspire - a brilliant charity that provides practical support and advice for people with spinal injuries.

  • I cried the first time ! true

  • this is the sort of shit that i make watch my film PARALYSIS OF THE MIND on my chanel to see how my radical filmmakng techniques are utilated to bring hope to people who otherwise would be miserable

  • Good Message

  • @screeniedrop Idiot

  • i live at that station

  • box hill?

  • Yup.

  • It's good to see an add like this. While it advertises scopes services and facilities, it also makes people think about disabled people in a normal light. Very clever and very effective.

  • I really like this commercial. It makes people think before they jump to conclusions without knowing more about the person.

  • What's the name of the song?

  • duuuuurrrrrrh

  • awesome commercial aha id be best friends with that guy just cuz of the radiohead bond =D nice commercial

  • Big talk for someone on the internet. Ever killed a retarded person for entertainment or gratification? I doubt it, and I doubt you would. I dare you to go into Scope and voice your opinions and see if someone doesn't murder you, and it would be so ironic if it was a disabled or retarded person. My mum has worked at Scope, she's heard and seen some horror stories. If you pissed off the wrong person there they'd tear you fucking apart. Seriously, just leave these forums you inadequate cunt.

  • have a cry you weakling you are nothing compared to me

  • this is a brilliant advert. and very very true.

and no it would not be likeable to see someone pushing him infront of a train. that would be disgracefull and whoever thought of that is sick in the head.

  • Good video.

  • the add has nothing to do with the title. how is it porrible for the disabled person in this clip to do anyitng worthwhile. not to be disrespectful but its a sad fact, that the person is in such a state that his disability actually means impossibily.

  • Well it actually doesnt mean this. What you may concider worthwhile, will differ from what me, or others will view as worthwhile. Nobody has the right to dissmiss anyone' possibilites.

  • This video means so much to me! I have a condition called arthrogryposis and created a video that explains what it is like to live with a so called "disability".

  • This is awesome!

  • go die ina hole

  • WOW!! Incredible; so simple, yet hits home like a bullet between the eyes!! See the person first and NOT the disability!! As a person with a disability (i REFUSE to call myself physically challenged!!), this hit home!! FIVE stars!!

  • Brilliant ad! Just brilliant, and it doesn't lose it's effectiveness on repeat viewings either. It hits home the point that people with disabilities are the same as anyone else, it's a shame there have been comments made about this ad out of pure ignorance and discrimination.

  • I think this ad would be an utterly failure if the guy was listening to something like nickleback

  • nickleback and failure go hand in hand

  • you're being mean :)

  • I agree. Radiohead made this video great! Great thing he isn't listening to nickleback!

  • this is a strong commercial. what's that????

  • disabled persons have a soft spot in God's heart.

  • I dunno man, Radiohead fans kinda freak me out...

    ;0)

    Love this, it's so great!!!

  • I think that this add is fantastic, i guess im bias though because i work for scope as a disability support worker. Anyone with a negative comment to someone with a disability, u r pethetic.

  • What an ignorant moron you are. The one disadvantage i and other disabled people have is having to live on earth with a waste of space like you. Go to hell. For the record you stupid twit i'm not a retard.

  • i've always loved this comercial form the first time i saw it. I'm in a whhelchair and definatelylove the disability means possibility motto

  • i definately wrot all that too quick and stuffed up a couple of times lol

  • Being in a wheelchair is not always a disadvantage. My friend Dave uses a wheelchair. If he is rolling at his normal speed, I have to pick up the pace to keep up with him. So on good terrain, a wheelchair is faster than walking. Getting to your destination faster isn't a disadvantage in my book.

  • Disability is evolution.

  • i've been to that train station

  • Fuck YOU eatmyplum

u should consider urself lucky for hu r u

switch scence for a sec mate how wood u like to be that guy in that commercial? huh?

think b4 u say anything. dick head.

  • disability means you are disabled and have less possiblty than no retards. duhhhhhh get outa dream world

I am disabled, but not as this guy in the video, but possibity is for eveyone everyone have the right to live right! so everyone have the right to have dreams why should disabled people dont have the same rights? where are all human.

  • humans are scum. the earth would do better without us.

  • then kill yourself.

  • he wasn't a retard either, he had cerebral palsy which doesn't usually affect IQ but the control people have over there body. You have the internet, go learn some stuff and maybe you won't seem like the retard yourself

  • you are quite a sad individual, i say this because you are sitting on your computer trying to get attention in any way you can. most of us can go chat with friends when we're bored, obviously you don't have any

  • Dear sw1q,

This was filmed in Melbourne - the station platform and floor of the train (when the doors open up) are at the same level - no steps. (great for wheelchairs, prams etc.)

    Cheers, Gayle

  • Can someone tell me how this fellow will be getting onto the train, when it comes; there is a big step-up.

    .

Is that girl thinking ...are the station staff aware of this fellows, imminent need of their help, with the now approaching train?

    .

    I wonder.

    Cheers.

  • ik kreeg toch een beetje kippenvel van deze hoor, erg mooi...

    radiohead maakt trouwens geweldige muziek!

  • Check out tags, dla benefit, disability covers ? everyone ?

  • to be fair this is a lovely video....it really shows how they feel about them selfs...and also nothing wrong with singing out loud im not disabed but do it all the time!

  • Dear zm,

How will this fellow board the train with the big step-up?

    .

    Hope you can help.

    .

    Cheers.

    from,

  • I love this PSA!!! Thank you for spreading positive awareness for our children!

  • Thus is great./

I'm a rush fan with Cerebral Palsy and I regularly sing to their music while riding the T in Boston MA while listening ti my ipod. Nothing wrong w/ that if it changes folks' negative attitudes about us.

  • Dude, Rush are an amazing band. Good taste.

  • that is a fantastic way of showing disability....please make more cause it makes them all shine!

  • and the reson i said fi enough become team up of us of whats left and use the the citezens arrest and the patriot act against these fools we can take back whats ares

  • HELLO

WE MAKE ONE NET OF OPERATING?

  • The differing views of commenters certainly demonstrates the effectiveness in such an ad. People thought about it. Still came up with opposing views, but thought, nonetheless.

  • Yes! You are right, absolutely right.

    .

Thinking is not the same as reacting.

    .

Folk can easily respond, as seen; without thinking at all.

    .

    Cheers.

    from,

    del-boy.

  • The video was shot in Melbourne and the point is simple: people with disabilities are more than just a "disability"....look beyond the outside. (In this super short video alone, he is a train traveller, iPod user, radiohead fan and a bloke just doing his own thing)

It is a grand video and I'm sure radiohead were very proud to have their music used in such a thought-provoking and unifying way.

    VERY, VERY COOL!!!!

  • Dear ga.,

The owners of the copyright would have consented and been paid, for the use of their property in the making of this video.

    .

The proprietors may have made a separate donation to a charity; giving away for free, is very complicated to do in accountancy, for media agencies and for marketing consultantcies.

    .

    Cool, nonetheless.

    Cheers.

    from,

  • I thought it was wonderfully done and im sure it was approved by raidiohead so no offense was taken.

  • Love it!! Check out the videos produced by disabled kids at Shake-A-Leg Miami. Inspector Kenny in particular has become quite famous. Kenny Civil is 12 yrs old and has cerebral palsy and has his own movie series and has lots of girlfriends!!

  • Disabled and retarded people get sex too. My mum is a carer and some of them do have partners or use prostitutes. Don't try to use comedy or cynicism on this, the add isn't about how much cunt he fucks, it's about how human disabled and retarded people are.

  • ". i just love this vid, seen it 3 times in a row...which is a song so filled with emotions, and you don't have to be that fucking smart to feel them, anyone with a sensitive mind can. i'd rather hang out with that guy and listen to radiohead than with some selfabsorbed prick, telling me what shitty music this is cuz a hot girl can't shake her booty on it!

  • Bellissimo video!

  • sometimes it's hard to see the person...

  • no, it seemed to me that this clip was mocking Radiohead fans as well, by portraying them as idiots. But apparently that's not the point. Is it?

  • no, it's not that radiohead fans are idiots, it's that "idiots"(and before anyone starts, i don't think ppl with mental disabilities as idiots, k?) can be radiohead fans, as in: "we're not so different you and i"

  • WOW!

  • Of all the videos on you tube this has to be the best educational piece about social development i've seen. It totally rocks. Doin your own thing, waiting on a train, singing to favourite music, being who you are just like everyone else does...more, more, more

  • This is brilliant.

  • What a BRILLIANT video. WELL DONE to everyone who made it, and was involved with it etc- i think it totally rocks :)

I agree with vagabundmmm about d4nmy3rs that they are a person that see's the dissability not the person. The video was not anything to do with raidiohead music- it could have been any music... d4nmy3rs did not get what the video was about at all.

  • I also think this is a really well thought out and done ad.

I get the feeling that they shot it at Box Hill train station.

  • Wonderful!

  • i really like this commercial

and d4nmy3rs is just one of those people who see just the disability and not the person.

  • I thought this was really well done

  • im not sure if this is supposed to be comforting... or offensive toward radiohead...
