@Douhnutz the geo is milled better and is easy to point with it has that ego type feel, the dm has a smoother shot and is much more comfortable to hold on to, it's like a pillow in the grips lol I have both and they both shoot great, depends what your looking for, control and accuracy, I'd go with the geo. But for smoothness and comfort. DM all the way!

@douhnutz DM9 in terms of shot. The DM's are balanced spools so they will naturally shoot better than Dump valves such as the Geo's. But the Geo's do have an LCD screen. Take your pick.

slick honey is my dm's lube nothing beats it =) virtue board check, but upgrading the barrel??? come on mike... seriously? its an UL, it shoots great the way it is, and you know it better than me ;) save the money kieep your UL the way they are... bores a bit overrated in my opinion .688 is working fine, i'll only change when the paint gets small enough for me to notice it shooting different

The DM series guns come Caked in lube... And by cake I mean like a quarter inch of lube on the whole bolt. If you're getting one I'd suggest taking the bolt out before airing it up because it won't shoot well with the exorbitant amount of lube they use...

Just got my dm10 and it's all that I expected it to be! A little Bummed i didn't realize the all black gloss ultralite that was on it instead of the stock two tone :/, looks like i'll have to make the cf boomstick upgrade! Anyhow great videos techpb! @airsoftdevin ego10, less work required to keep it up and running, more reliable. Dyes can be tempermental, Ive used an ego7 since 2k7 every event and practice, and its been down once, a 50 cent part.

@rejectyourreality10 Don't shoot with a barrel tip and don't use a hopper. The gun it self is already light. If you think it's still heavy then it must be your tank or hopper that is making your set up heavy. Or work out a little.

@HERBERT265 yes they both work but the gun works best on HPA, sometimes LPA will force you to change a setting or two but besides that there isnt a big difference... the only time tank pressure matters is for angels and mini's where a LPA matters because the regulators and the rest of the gun will become damaged over time... causing the gun to last less long

I just have a quick qestion since I am looking at my DM9 I took straight out of the box and shoot a full Dye Rotor and 3-4 Locklids (160 each) with a 0.7 tank 4500psi filled with 3k (since our fields don't deliver higher fills). Does that sounds right or am I not getting enough paint out of the bottle?

hey mike is the efficiency test going to vary because you used a low pressure tank??? i use the same reg as you did here but high pressure.

mike u said the stock lpr setting is 3.5 turns out. The manual says stock settings is 75 psi and when the lpr is set all the way in it starts at 10 psi and 180 degree turn out will give you 5 psi.

So based off the manual, 3.5 turns out will be 35 psi plus the 10 psi having a total of 45 psi. So who is right, the manual or Mike?

Hey, Mike-

I recently purchased a dm9, and am still in the process of breaking it in. I recently got back into the sport- the last marker i owned was an intimidator z.

i've been researching things to tinker with on the dm9. Specifically how to make the dm9 be more consistent, and shoot quieter by tweaking the LPR,HPR, and dwell. Honestly- i think the dm9 does both these things well already. But 1. can they be improved upon and 2. if so have you made a video,lol?

personal preference really. Spool vs Poppit markers. Cant go wrong with either. I'm partial though because i just bought a dm9 and am very, very impressed. Spools (according to my research) are less efficient with air which wasn't a very high priority of mine. Both markers are very reliable it seems, but for me, i know its stupid, i love markers with super quiet sound signatures. The dm9= the quietest i've heard - besides a lux. MUCH quieter than an ego.Less air efficient though. Both get kills

couple comments:

-at 16:45 you say the lpr screw being turned all the way in will cut pressure from the lpr. This is false, it will set the lpr to 25 psi.

-later you mention that the lp air only moves the bolt one way. this is not true, the lp air pushes the bolt forwards AND backwards. It always has on the fuse bolt design. what you saw in adjusting the LPR is the slight forward bias that dye has always had in their bolts to counteract bolt stick.
