when he pulled the drag rescue device on the guys jacket he ruined it...after you pull that against someones body you have to send it away to get re tested
Only the fire dept would chunk the old gear and get some like that i love that strap on there back so if a firefighters down that would be so much easyer for the firefighters i have a bad back. Well congratulations on the gear anyways hope it works unlike ours piece of shit gear we have
The new gear looks nice. What does the chief say about the gear at 0:39? I can't understand him. And does anyone know what the exact name of the bunker gear? I am looking for gear myself. Thanks and God Bless brothers.
In 2 years i will be a joniour ff and my city needs new trucks and gear like really bad,but the gear is ok just wornout a ton and the engine 1 is to crowded and almost never rolls, the newest truck is engine 2 wich is an 05 peirce.
It depends...aside from the turnout jacket, pants, boots, gloves, BA, helmet, hood, gloves and mask, some carry an axe in a scabbard...everything weighing up to maybe 40 lbs. with all the lightweight gear now.
generally the gear has to be replaced every 10 years to stay up to NFPA requirements.

@millwoodff21 No you don't. You unzip the inside of the jacket and pull the strap back in. So before ya comment. Check up on it.
