@imsleepyanddead: It's a marvel, I like both versions of the Danze Finale. And it plays almost perfectly in sync on my own dinosaur of an XP computer, meaning almost 7 years old! One can tell that the finger lifts a bit too late for the sound if one concentrates.

@ftsantamaria Yo creo que el Maestro Dudamel desidio de no hacerle una danza. Cuando uno toca una danza sin bailadores es aburido. El tempo mas rapido compensa la ausencia de bailarines para mantener el interes. En mi humilde opinion.

It was a bit faster than the tempo marking of 132 (dotted quarter). Probably around 134 ish. No matter, it was excellently performed. Speaking from experience, I know how killer the woodwind part is on the embouchure. And these guys did it perfectly! Well played, and well conducted.

Esta orquesta es una de las mas maravillosas del mundo; el autor es el maestro Ginastera, argentino, y el malambo es una danza gaucha de la pampa. Recomiendo ampliamente oir "La Suite argentina" completa: es una maravilla. Saludos.

Sí, estás en lo cierto. A tal punto que parece que se pierde un poco la esencia de la obra (el 6/8 característico de estos lados). Personslmente, me hubiera gustado que sonasen los cornos en 0:35, ya que le proporcionaría mayor riqueza en variedad tímbrica de la orquesta. En cuanto a la orquesta misma, como músico argentino que soy, considero que fué un asco la interpretación de los violines, porque se apuraron en 0:17 y 1:14, y perdieron el ritmo esencial de la obra misma.

la verdad es que para una sala de conciertos es formidable ese tempo, para la puesta coreogràfica si es un poco rapidito.. en el Colòn de Buenos Aires cuando se ha hecho, la tocan un poco mas lenta ,se disfruta mas y se puede bailar!

I remember the first time I listened to this piece. It was in Vienna, performed by the Sao Paulo Symphony Orchestra, back in March of 2007. Everyone was walking out of the concert hall with the biggest smiles in the world, and I couldn't stop smiling for half an hour until I came back to my hotel. This really is one of the most powerful and enjoyable pieces of music written in the 20th century.
