RIP Dexter, maybe you can play with my Buddy in heaven now! (a mix: black labador & Golden Retriver)! He LOVES to play with other dogs (and take care of them too)! He and I grew up together and I felt so guilty leaving him with my parents when I got older and graduated, I never got to see him again. I think about him everyday!
I know exactly how you feel i just lost a dog to old age and cancer its hard and you will make it through i did and i am 13 i knew him forever and my dogs name was Bandit ha was 16 and i hope you the best and our dogs will meet in heaven

Accidently happened across this video when I linked to a Blue Cross video. I thought it was another dog available from the Rescue centre....then, listened to the words and realised what had happened. I've never left comments anywhere before, but I was really moved (to tears!) by the beautiful compilation of memories you have of Dexter-what a fabulous dog and what a terrible accident. So sorry for your loss. We recently got a puppy (now 6 month lurcherxsetter)- these things are a real worry.

I have a 7 months black labrador, which I rescued in the streets of downtown Bogotá when he was 6, 7 weeks old. My previous dog, a 1 year old bullmastiff, died during emergency surgery and it was quite hard to take. 2 weeks later, a sunday morning, I was walking and saw this black puffy thing sleeping inside a cardboard. I took him up, he first bite my thumb and then started playing with it. Since then we're inseparable. I can see the beautiful life you've given to Dexter, and vice-versa.

Thanks for all your comments. Dexter was hit by a car. He was usually pretty road smart. Although on this occasion he saw 2 dogs on the other the side of the road that he knew and there happened to be a car right there at that time. It happened so quickly. @Blizdegs It is a tragedy when ANY loved pet gets killed by a vehicle and a comment like yours is deeply offensive and callous. I can empathise with the enormous pain and loss that this viewer is suffering and comments such as yours are unhelpful and painful to anyone whose cat has died as a result of being hit by a car. Please act more responsibly in future.

Cute! I'm From Dominican Republic and i can tell you, black Labs are the most intelligent Dogs Ever! and it's very very close to his loved ones....
