  • Goosebump stuff.

  • Pavarotti was a classic., and a one of a kind. But lets be fair---there were other greats as well and history has shown that---but if it makes you feel better than let this be said. He set the standard and at the same time raised the bar to such a level that we may never see in our life time another like him again ! If GOD were to be so kind, Than that would be to have him come back and raise the bar again and thrill us all to tears of joy ! those are the best tears of all ! Feel better now ?

  • i was the 201st like and the 101st comment :P haha! brilliant, never fails to impress :D

  • PAVAROTTI PARA SIEMPRE Y POR SIEMPRE........COMO EL MAYOR TENOR DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS........UNA LARGA VIDA DE CANTAR FABULOSO COMO LOS DIOSES...........POCOS O NINGUNO H APODIDO HACER ESO.......ESPONER UNA HERMOSA VOZ AL PASO DEL TIEMPO POR ENCIMA DEL TIEMPO...............OLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • muita saudades ele deixou pra nos

  • Why do my eyes have tears in them everytime I hear this man?I think when I hear him it makes me realize the beautiful side of human behavior, of what we are capable of in the direction of good, not the obsession with death and destruction of our fellow human beings. There is hope for mankind in that voice.

  • Like Gigli and Caruso,Pavarotti was unique. Probably every 100 years or so, a singer comes along who transcends all others and enters the realm very few enter.... They redefine their art and the world notices and looks on in amazement. Pavarotti was born with a natural voice that was big , bright and truly unique. He worked hard at creating his characteristic tone and even in his 30s had to correct his breathing technique.. And he left us with a legacy that truly is incredible. Grazie Maestro

  • A Worldwide Person

  • i never met him and yet i miss him ... this video makes me cry.. why can't there be this rule where magnificent people like Pavarotti and Diana could steal the lives of twats like nick griffin and gadaffi...

  • magnificent!

  • Levine (L)

  • Mario Lanza, Pavarotti y oros cantantes de música clásica nos alegran el espíritu.

  • RIP...... :-((

  • Благодаря!

  • @tenorississimo i have no idea wat you are trying to say LOL XD

  • Shut up and listen to the song. People cry at the simplest songs on the planet. People cry when a kid sings a sweet song. Sure there is skill and with skill in mind Pavarotti is the best, but skill is not all that is music. If you don't understand that then you cannot possibly understand or love it for what it really does to you. Speak the words of your heart.

  • you all are pretentious asshats and do Pavarotti injustice with your petty squabbling

  • спасибо

  • What made Pavarotti so special?

He was one of the greatest opera singers but, first of all, a great man.

How many times did he sing ill or with vocal problems? This made me simply proud of him.

  • seems to be written specilly for Diana;

    Tu pure oh Principessa

    nella tua freda stanza

    guardi le stelle

    che tremano d´amore...

  • @roeslerswiss This song was written before Diana was born. She wasn't even an afterthought when this song was written.

  • @ironhide20 Of course, is an aria from the final act of Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot this lyrics is sung by Calaf (The unknown prince) who falls in love with the beautiful Princess Turandot....That´s why I said explicitly "SEEMS TO BE" NOT "SPECIALLY"

Do you understand the meaning of the lyrics...

    Oh pure Princess

    in your cold bedroom

    watch the stars

that tremble with love and with hope...

I believe there is an incredible correlation with reality.

  • @roeslerswiss Qué belleza, sí parece escrito para Diana. Regards from Argentina.

  • RIP Pavarotti. . BEAUTIFUL, PASSIONATE, UNLIKE ANYTHING I HAVE EVER HEARD. YOU WILL BE MISSED . AMAZING SIMPLY AMAZING

  • absolutley amazing. there is nothing like him

  • No one cares! Learn to spell!

  • Vincerai anche lassù do ve sei ora ;)

  • Paul Potts ain't got nothing on this legend.

  • Seriously!

  • hahahahahaha

oh my god... I didn't know this... what a new!!

  • un angel...

  • lo mejor que pude escuchar en mi vida

  • nobody will ever deliver this piece the way he did ....

  • For Christ's sake, stop mentioning Pavarotti and others in one and the same sentence! There have been many great singers, but Pavarottis has been the one and only divine singer.

  • SO True! Pavarotti is the music.

  • Forgive me for my arrogance in advance but, have you ever heard of the ''Devine '' voice of Mario Lanza?

  • saddly God wanted he back so soon

  • Music is art....art is not the science of absolutes nor comparatives, but the offering of a medium to create an emotion within you.

Art is the ambassador of emotion, giving you full control of weather or not you enjoy it. Art promotes choice. Choice is the greatest gift we have. Art does not care if you love it or not, but merely that it exists.

It is impossible to argue weather or not a form of art is "good" or "bad".

Someone thinks the worst singer on earth is music to their ears.

  • i'm laughing my ass off when i read someone try to compare the great luciano pavarotti with an idiot faced singer.

nothing could compare luciano's voice and charisma, even at luciano's early years in music

  • i would have loved to see him live. to witness the magnificant gift he so easily shared with the world...truly amazing

  • are there any high definition pavarotti clips? Because all the ones I find butcher his beautiful high notes :(

  • i read on another page that paul potts sings this song better than pavarotti. they said that pavarotti is a great singer but paul potts is better as he sings this piece with feelings. go get F****d i say. you know nothing about music if you can say that about a deceased man. R.I.P maestro

  • I could sing like Pavarotti.

However, I would require the man's DNA and the use of reincarnation^^

  • None must sleep! None must sleep! And you, too, Princess,in your cold room, gaze at the stars

which tremble with love and hope! But mymystery is locked within me,

no-one shall know my name! No, no, I shall say it as my mouth meets yours when the dawn is breaking! And my kiss will break the silence

which makes you mine!(No-one shall know his name, and we, alas, shall die!)Vanish, o night!

Fade, stars! At dawn I shall win

  • Where can I get the English Translation? From Which opera is this piece, please?

  • It's a piece from "Turandot" by Puccini

  • the sound quality sucks, but Luciano remained a god.

  • this guy was awesome

  • tu nombre sera recordado como una leyenda por la eternidad... gracias maestro!!!

  • you can now sing for God and all of his Angles Luciano Pavarotti; we love you and miss you.

  • you are absolutly right. no one will ever sing it like the great Luciano Pavarotti.

  • Thank you!!

  • The TRUE God of singing

  • THAT is music !

  • Impareggiabile !

  • Noone will ever have anything on Mr. Pavarotti...he will be forever the greatest...I'm sure he was and will forever be flatered that so many wish to emulate him. Rest well Mr. Pavarotti, your voice will echo through eternity...

  • Paul potts is a very good AMATEUR. Pavarotti is the greatest tenor ever.

  • paul potts? please... harry potter vs Don Quijote

  • the greatest!!

  • Bravo Tenore!!!, I agree... Pavarotti was in another level, and I'm sure Potts will agree too.

Come on, years of experience and incredible natural talent!

  • have this potts fellow claimed that he is better than pavarotti? are you fuckin mental

  • paul potts, don´t fuck me!!! Pavarotti was a professional!!!

  • paul potts should not even be mentioned on the same page as Pavarotti

  • +1 to that!

  • +1 more to that.

  • +1 more to that!!

  • Paul Potts is awesome in his own right. I'm not saying that he is an equal to Pavarotti. It is like comparing apples to oranges: As of now, comparison is impossible. Remember this: they both came from humble beginnings. Please don't berate Paul. All he needs is some time to establish himself as a name in music. Pavarotti came along many years before Paul, and I believe he would be ashamed of all of you who would be so petty as to berate a genuine talent as Paul Potts.

    Rest in peace, Pavarotti

  • I love Paul Potts. But certainly not as an opera singer. To even mention him in the same sentence as Pavarotti is a dis-service not only to Luciano but to all singers who have spent years training to be opera singers.

  • I can not call this a disservice

A disservice I can call when Singers or not Singers occupied them with who is better and who not

Oh my God I am an opera singer but I let people to like what they want

Personally I like Paul Potts and Pavarotti

  • Pavarotti coulf be shame if he looks at his own tube ans see that People argue like children about Who is the best singer

I think he never had this problem to compare himself to others

Every singer has his own originality and personal expression

Pavarotti was Great and Pots is good too

I cried when I heard Paul Potts

can you permit it to me?

I admired when I heard Pavarotti

is two different impressions not comparable because everybody is unique

    Potts is

  • The best lyric tenor of our last century. God Bless you and rest in Peace!

  • good woice rest in peaseeee

  • good w

  • his soul might be gone but his honor and glory still stands may he rest in peace

  • I love this aria. Have you seen Paul Potts do this at BGT?

  • paul potts is a an amateur who enjoys opera. Pavarotti IS opera, its like comparing a midget hockey player to Wayne Gretzky, please dont.

  • A voice goes silent. Rest in peace.

  • One of the great voices of our time! Amazing!
