With limiter off, you need to seriously be around level 200 to win, but when you turn the limiter off you can access a bonus dungeon that will level you easily, max level is 255 (unless that is one of the things they changed >.>) and there is some ownage shit down there to top it off.

This is such a hit or miss boss fight. It's either an absolute breeze and you'll kill him in thirty seconds or he'll fight back really hard and take half an hour.

Because his name was Gabriel in the PSX Japanese version of Star Ocean 2. They changed his name in the translation to avoid possible religious issues.

IN the first two games, you can just surround an enemy or push them into a corner and stun-lock them to death. Tales tries to prevent this by making bosses have AoE attacks, go into overlimit, or teleport away.

It took me 10 plus tries to bet him. I spammed claude's air slash and had leon, celine, and rena summon spells. The only way to bet him is to find a combination that keeps him from using his most dangerous spell. I can't wait to find ashton and the others when I play with rena from the beginning. Cool game. I am glad I bought it.

Note that he can only be recruited in Rena's scenario.

To get Ashton, you need to clear the storyline event in Marze, then go to Harley and talk to the two men near the entrance. They will say a dragon appeared in the Salva Mines. Head there and go into the west area to find the Dragon's Nest and you'll find Ashton there. The recruitment for Dias is thrown at you automatically so long as you're playing Rena's scenario.

I dunno what you mean by "other character." The other two in that battle are Claude and Rena, and they're the main characters.

Opera: When you first reach Krosse, view a PA and head to the castle. A man with three eyes will run past you. Then after the Armory Contest, you'll find Opera in the tavern in Hilton. After talking to her return to Krosse and get permission to enter the Mountain Palace, and follow Opera there.
