I got interested in looking up info about any more live Queen shows and the news that I found out suggested that this show or the 1985 Live Aid performance are the best performances captured. I never got to see the lads myself, owing to their whirlwind schedule throughout the 70's and my location in backwoods Alabama, but if I had I would like to think that their spark would be something like these performances. Let's all spread a little Freddy around the world and make him smile up above...

I saw Return of the Champions with Paul Rodgers and there's no comparison with this concert, for me the best concert in history of Rock, Freddie's perfromance is just the best, It's a shame that he is already gone, but his legacy WILL LIVE FOREVER. The best frontman ever exist.

Some points to note.

John looking at Freddie in total bemusement at him wearing a coppers hat whilst standing their wearing a Hilda Ogden t-shirt.

During Radio Ga Ga there is a girl shown in a blue denim jacket, to the left of 2 girls on shoulders. Amazingly during magic years vol.3 video, they show a clip of radio gaga from knebworth park and manage to pick out the same girl in 125,000 people...spooky. And I think Roger might actually drum himself out of his seat during We are the Champions.

I'd seen one of the great performances of the 20th century. Status Quo were one of the support groups & they were amazing too. The crowd went ape shit from that point onwards.
