Are you allowed to "lift" the ball like that? I thought you had to kick or chip it when it's a freekick. Sort of like the volleyball rules. You have to hit the ball, not "lead" it with your hands.

@retrofooze Technically, that is not true. You can Strike a ball without any spin, so that cannot be the case. The rule is that the ball must travel the minimum distance required to rotate one time completely. This traveled more than far enough for that. The only question is if it is one touch. Technically, I don't think he touched it more than once, so it should be allowed. Some officials might get picky over this though, so it's kind of risky.

@MultigamerLygre The rule only states that you can only touch it once. In the video the scoop only makes contact with the takers foot one time. This by law is legal.
