  • the cheesecloth is genius LOL, straining the grinds out is the worst part of making cold brew. But I definitely use a higher coffee to water ratio. I use 1 lb of coffee for 9 cups of cold filtered water. The point of cold brewing is to get a coffee concentrate ;o) Thanks for the video!

  • Why don't you brew it hot and wait 14-15 hours and it will be cold by then?

  • @wahlauehxxx the cold brew method makes a concentrated coffee that you later dilute before drinking (or pour over ice) and this method produces a truer flavor of the bean and is 69.9 % less acidic than hot brewing ;o) if you like coffee, I highly recommend you try this!

  • Was that a NSF certified rubber band?

  • you r a hot barista

  • You realize you just used pre-ground coffee AND put a rubber band in it, right? Yum...... BTW, I agree that using the cheesecloth looks convenient but it also seems like a waste of money when a strainer is free.

  • rhino79, I disagree, and think this is a good idea. In my opinion, I'd rather not wait for the water to drain through a filter or strainer, but instead pull out the cheese cloth, and I'm done.

  • This is an unnecessarily complicated way to make cold brew coffee. The cheesecloth bag is unnecessary. Put ground coffee in water. Wait. Then pour the liquid through a strainer.

  • @rhino79 Or use a french press, if making smaller amounts, that is (which is actually better anyway, since cold brewed coffee gets stale after about two weeks).
